Worst place I've stayed
Where do I Start. The only reason it's getting two stars is because the location is so close to the beach and there's a decent view from the balcony. The pictures of this place are way way way nicer than the actual unit. When we got to the unit I couldn't get in for about an hour because they gave me the wrong code and I had to wait on someone to call me and it was 11 pm at night. Then when we did get in it didn't get better. The place smells like mildew. Overall the whole unit is just nasty and dirty looking. There's mold by the AC vents that someone tried to clean and just smeared it. The hall closet door is missing a hinge pin. The main door could be kicked off with ease because the trim holding the top lock is cracked and held in with nails that aren't even in the trim all the way. The back door didn't even close properly or lock. The bathroom ceiling above the shower hadvs hole that had a terrible repair done to it. The bed was the old orange foam from the 90s and was terrible. No comforters or extra pillows like the pictures had. Just two sheets. The lack of care/maintenance done to this place is pathetic. The microwave was the nicest thing in this unit. I'm not lucky at all but this is by far the worst place I've ever stayed. If the pictures didn't make it look like this beautiful place to stay in I wouldn't have cared as much but the pictures are so deceiving and it's wrong. Also the TV didn't work at all and I called and told them and they said they'd send someone to fix it and never did. I'm trying to get some type of discount from all the trouble I had and no one is contacting me back I just get the run around. If you want a place that's literally right across the street from the beach and right beside Walmart and don't mind a nasty room then this is your place. I loved the location and the actual Condo The Victorian is a nice place this unit is just trash. The hot tub was awesome that was a plus.

Needs some TLC
First, go into the units knowing they are tiny. That was something we expected so no surprise there. BUT ….this listing definitely needs to be updated with current photos to give guests an accurate expectation. The unit is worn down & not kept up with. The rug is disgusting & worn out. The cleaning crew did MAYBE a surface cleaning. There were food crumbs on the living room floor & we saw a couple of roaches (I have photo proof). We did get a survey 2 hours after check in asking about the cleanliness & they did offer to have someone come clean but at that point, no thank you. We were out enjoying our vacation & did not feel comfortable having someone come in. The cleaning should have been done correctly prior to the 4pm check-in. When it came to bedtime we located the bedding for the sleeper sofa (fitted sheet, top sheet, & blanket), however the blue blanket was covered in pee stains & did not smell clean. The kitchen is not somewhere I would prepare a meal so we never used it. Had the Island not been completely booked at that point, we would have gone somewhere else. Some additional issues that didn’t really affect us but were not accurate is the lack of the cable box which is listed in the amenities. We just happened to have something with us that enabled the kids to still watch Netflix at bedtime. Be sure to note that this is NOT hotel type service. Bring your own toiletries, shampoo/conditioner/soap. To the owner of this condo, please put some money into reviving this unit. The lack of care is apparent. There is also a huge gap at the top of the patio door so you are losing AC & running up your electric bill for no reason. The outer lock on the front door was lose & it looked as if the door had been kicked in previously with a very shoddy attempt at repairing the damage. Invest in yourself & get this unit back to it’s full potential.

The Divine Pearl
For the two of us it was big enough. If we had 2 kiddos it would have been a tiny bit snug. The picture depicts the space almost correctly. It’s just a tiny bit more worn. The bathroom however needs work

Perfect Location!
As advertised, and with a few easily remedied fixes (wrong entry code, running commode) but all went well. You can’t beat the price and the location to beach & conveniences was just perfect. We didn’t even have to pay extra for the simply amazing weather-

Sad situation
The unit #1 was hard to get in due to they gave us two different codes. #2 the sink in kitchen leaked, the tub had a Crack and we almost cut out foot, the stopper for taken a bath did not work, the toilet did not flush right and keep running, the unit had mold in it. We had tried to get help with TV not working and was told we would be reimbursed and never did for the TV and that someone would contact us to help and never did.

You get what you pay for!
The location is awesome and the property looks nice from the road. However, the condo could use some serious updating. The balcony door was difficult to open, coffee pot broken, broken railing on bunk bed, very moldy shower curtain liner, makeshift wire used as pull string for bedroom ceiling fan, and tv didn’t work. The pictures make the unit look much larger and nicer than it is but it was very affordable…you get what you pay for. Next time we’ll spend the extra money and upgrade to a nicer place!

Needs major attention
The condo location is good, and the onsite staff was friendly and efficient. The problem was the actual condo. Evidently it is managed by Vacasa, and they have been less than stellar in responding to communication. The unit is run down and very dirty. There were splatters of something (shudder) around the bedroom nightstand and in the bathroom toilet paper holder. There were gnats so bad that we left to buy a spray for them. The dresser drawers in the bedroom were all broken, the area around the toilet was fixed with duct tape, and the toilet brush was just laying on the ground near the dirty base of the toilet. It was so disgusting that we only ended up staying one night of the three we had booked. We had to find another place to stay because it was just too gross, and we kept seeing more and more things that were nasty. As we tried to load up groceries, we saw the fridge was crusty. When we folded out the sofa bed, there was a bubble wand toy underneath it that was not ours. I am not a prima donna or a clean freak; matter of fact, I'm used to three kids and multiple animals in the house. But there's just something about someone else's filth that is unbearable when you are on vacation and want to be relaxing, not worrying about cleanliness and the things that go along with this oversight, like roaches and bedbugs. This goes past the superficial issues; one would thing that in post-Covid protocol, sanitation issues would be better handled. After I contacted the management company (Vacasa) about the issues, they offered to refund my cleaning fee. I requested a refund for the days we were unable to stay, and four days later, they responded with this: "Thank you for reaching out. I am very sorry to hear about the trouble you are experiencing during your stay. Your experience is definitely not the kind of experience that we wanted you to have with our service. Unfortunately, we cannot provide any more refunds for this reservation. Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns, we are always here to help or if you require immediate assistance please call 1.800.xxx.xxxx (available 24/7) to speak to a Customer Service Specialist." I travel quite a bit, and I have realized that most companies in the hospitality industry will try to make things right. However, Vacasa does not seem to be one of them. I would NOT suggest booking any of their properties.

A little deceiving
The pictures make it look way nicer than it is. Lucky the location is so prime or it would be a flop. Slept 3 adults and 2 kids easily but it’s very small and old. Smelled like pot and was invested with fruit flies upon arrival. The pool and beach access is the best thing about this place. No clean sheet and blanket for the pull out couch, and the TV was non working. Wifi was spotty and only worked at random times. Not able to work or stream anything. Check in info was easy and helpful. Zero information about checkout or and when it came to getting late checkout it was a mess. Overall just ok, for the price it was ridiculous.

Do not rent
This unit is a dump. Worn out furniture. Dirty rugs. Housekeeper does not place toilet paper on roller; you have to do it yourself. The unit is very substandard and for Vacasa to charge over $300 a night is a rip off. I had booked a two night stay. I fled after one night and stayed at a nice hotel for $100 less a night, beautiful room, free breakfast.

Run down
There are pluses and minuses about this unit. On the plus side, the bed is comfortable. Minus side, tv didn’t work, water was shut off when we got there, elevator didn’t work so we had to carry our luggage up 2 flights. I had no communication with the owner of the condo. Didn’t have any contact information at all.

Won’t be choosing this place again
There was so much that was wrong with this place. The door knob to get into the room didn’t work, the toilet was broken, the patio door was rusted shut… And in order to get it open it took two people.. not to mention there was sand and crumbs everywhere. It was not thoroughly cleaned and if I could rate my experience staying there… I would definitely give it a one out of ten.

Place was dirty and management company not responsive.
I booked this place for Labor Day weekend. It had positive reviews and nice pictures. It was not at all like it was represented. There was a vase with dead flowers on the table and the table was covered in dust. Fingerprints and sticky grime on the chairs. Kitchen and bathroom sinks were not clean. Bathtub was not clean. The walls had dirt on them. Air vents looked like they had never had the filter changed. There was trash left in drawers in the bedroom dresser. It appeared to me that it had not been cleaned at all. The linens looked clean but it was hard to say if they were. The place was also badly in need of repairs. There were holes in the walls, there was an open pipe in the shower ceiling that dripped water constantly, the ladder to the bunk bed was broken. There was junk in the storage closets and bedroom closet. The dishes had dust on them in the cabinets. I had to go to the store to get cleaning supplies before I could do anything else. I called the management company Vacasa upon arrival. Two hours later I got an email stating that they had no housekeeper available until the morning. They would either send her in the AM OR reimburse my cleaning fee. I told them I expected both to happen to which I got no response. The next morning my daughter noticed a piece of chewed gum on the bathroom floor behind the toilet covered in ants. I decided to check out that day rather than stay another night. When I emailed Vacasa to inform them and ask what kind of compensation could be discussed, I got a 2 sentence reply that said - “if you choose to leave there is nothing I can do for you. You will get your cleaning fee and that is all.” I replied that I felt that was poor customer service and requested I be contacted by a superior. I have not had any response to that request (24 hours later.) I definitely would not recommend staying in a property managed by this company.

Details need some attention in a great location
New rental procedures during recent changes created confusion upon checkout and checkin. Normal bathroom items not provided including kleenex and lotion. Kid size futon in living area not comfortable even for sitting and one of the two lounge chairs had a broken or loose leg, leaving limited seating locations. Paint needs to be touched up. Otherwise, it has a perfect location for what we needed.
