Disgusting and Disappointing – Stay Far Away
This was our first trip to Wine Country, flying in all the way from Atlanta, and we were excited—especially given the price point, we expected a beautiful, well-kept property. Boy, were we wrong.From the moment we arrived, it was a nightmare. We had to fight just to get the front door open—literally had to throw our shoulder into it. Not a great start. But then came the smell. The overwhelming stench of stale air, animals, and who-knows-what else hit us like a wall. No fresh air circulation, no ventilation—it was suffocating. Cleanliness? Practically nonexistent. The bed looked like someone started making it and just gave up - so who knows if anything was actually washed. Trash from the previous guests was still in the bins inside the house. We were instantly uncomfortable. Even the host admitted it was unacceptable. We left, hoping the property manager would come in and at least freshen things up. When we returned? The same funk! And though the host acknowledged the condition of the place was not okay, he still refused to offer any kind of refund.We came to Wine Country to relax, but this house made that impossible. Not even the “complimentary bottle of wine” was there to greet us as stated in his welcome book. If you’re okay with dirt, stink, and disappointment, go for it. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and book literally anywhere else.I also have pictures of what it looked like upon arrival!
