This 5 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath home is located on the intra-coastal waterway, in a quiet gated community, 20 minutes from Historic downtown Charleston. This house, surrounded by live oaks, offers a relaxing Southern atmosphere. The wrap-around porch offers a variety of natural views. This 3 story home has elevator access to each floor. The top floor has 3 bedrooms with queen beds and an open bonus room with a double bed. The main floor boasts a large family room, a kitchen, and a dining room overlooking the Stono river. Just off the family room is the master suite with a king bed and a private bath with an antique claw foot tub and separate walk in shower. There is also a double bed located off the kitchen with a connecting half bath. This river home sleeps 10 to 12 people comfortably and is ideal for connecting with nature and relaxing.

Excellent time
The house was beautiful and big enough for a big family. I would definitely recommend. The elevator was wonderful for moving luggage to all the floors. We hadd a blast playing ping pong and playing cards.

Spacious and accommodating
The Stono River House was perfect for our group of 10 adults attending a wedding at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. The rooms were spacious and the kitchen was well stocked. We were busy, so did not take advantage of all of the amenities the property offered. The elevator was easy to use for the two 90 year olds in our party. We would consider staying again. Lovely,peaceful property. Guys had a great time crabbing & fed us all one night. Great spot to go when you really need a break from the world! Got to catch up with our friends and laughed so much!! Great property and great time!

Charleston Wedding
Our family used this house as a base for a wedding. House was clean, well-stocked kitchen, beds were comfortable with ample room (loved coffee on screened porch). Really would have liked to have used the pier and river but did not have time. Parking and elevator were also good. We would consider a return for a relaxing vacation.

This home was perfect for our extended family visiting for our son’s wedding. The elevator was a lifesaver for my elderly mother. Could not have been in a more convenient location to the venue. Loved walking the pier out to the dock and beautiful view. Well stocked kitchen. Would definitely stay again.

Beach getaway
We had a great time at this property. It was so nice and quiet, we even saw dolphins down in the river of the dock at high tide. It was nice and close to Charleston and the surronding beaches.

Memorable First Girls' Getaway
2 of my friend flew into Charleston for our first Girls Getaway and we have a wonderful time. The home is beautiful and exhibits a wonderful beachy Charleston theme. The porch itself was where we stayed most of the time. We are definitely thinking about staying here again for one of our future Girls Getaway. Perfect Gathering Place
We were in town for a wedding. This home was the perfect place for us to gather as a family. Nice neighborhood feel with plenty of room to spread out. The access to the dock and river kept the kids entertained.

Catch of a Lifetime
An amazing weekend with this house as our basecamp. We enjoyed making use of the firepit, outdoor kitchen, ping pong table, and pier. We even managed to catch (and release) a 33" long Red Drum that will forever be remembered.

Dexter Family Vacation 2024
I have nothing but positive things to say about this property. We stayed from March 22nd-28th. Leanne was a great host. Any questions were answered within minutes. The house is actually even more beautiful in person. The deck and river are actually in front of the house, not behind it. From the pictures, I thought it was behind the house. So when we arrived it was night time and couldn't obviously see anything. The next morning, I woke my husband and told him they must of moved the river. He pointed across the gravel road to show me the dock. LOL We all had a good laugh. When I tell you this property is stocked with everything imaginable, it's fully stocked. A lot of properties say that, and we've still had to pack or buy extra things. Not this one. We actually overpacked. We even had a boat delivered to our dock so we could use it on the river. We will definitely be booking this property again. And are now thinking of buying real estate down here. It was just the most perfect vacation we could've asked for.

Quiet Vacation
My wife, MIL, son and his girlfriend stayed for a few days. Loved this place. Has everything you’d need for at least one night if you couldn’t make it to the store before hand. Very spacious, beautiful home, dock, and property. I see why people have weddings here. The bonus was the elevator for my MIL and to be able to get luggage and other large things up the stairs. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Beautiful location. The house couldn't have been better. The only improvement would have been, if there was a railing going out to the dock. The house was clean and the beds comfortable. Plenty of room for a large family
