Finished in 2014, above-garage apartment, full kitchen with all amenities, one bedroom (plus queen size fold-out couch in living room), screened in porch and open deck as well. Sleeps 4. Smart TV so bring your passwords for however you view TV entertainment.

Great apartment

I have stayed here multiple times and always enjoy the apartment. It is close enough to town but in a very peaceful setting on an inland lake. Kitchen has everything you need. Absolutely love spending time on the screened in porch and hearing the loons. Great communication with Mary Beth and Mike.

Tree House

Nestled in the trees, it was like living in a house! Great Swing by the water to hear the loons and to see deer in the distance. We took a 'road trip' to hear the Jazz musician, Dave Bennett, perform at the Island. Drove around the island and made all the 'stops'. Great time! Karen & JIm

Peaceful, Quiet "Treehouse" Location

Great location about halfway between town and Donegal Bay. Very serene and relaxing. Especially loved the screen porch in the trees! Hosts Michael and Mary Beth are very responsive & helpful; on site, yet you have privacy as the apartment is located above their freestanding garage. Clean and comfortable with everything we needed for a week's stay. Highly recommend!

A welcome respite from hustle and bustle

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The apartment has everything needed and feels like a cozy nest. The homeowner was available but in no way overbearing. Thanks for picking us up at the airport!

Beautiful Apartment Near Font Lake

This is a beautiful property on a very special island. If in doubt, just go there! It is so quiet that you can hear the hummingbirds flying in to the feeders. You can actually hear them before you see them. The apartment itself is beautifully done with natural cedar trim. Truly wonderful!

Super cute quiet clean apartment overlooking the lake

We loved this spot! We really loved that we were close enough to town - but secluded enough to be so super quiet (except for all the birds!). The spot is right on the water, and we even got to swing on the deck a bit. The screened-in porch is the best thing about this place. So magical in the morning with a cup of coffee!

What a wonderful peaceful place. Takes you away from reality even if just for a few days.

The tree house is very clean and quiet. No problem with check in or out. Close to town to walk or bike. Kitchen is stocked. All you need is a good pair of hiking boots and food. There are a few good restaurants and only 2 or 3 little trinket stores. If staying a few days I would suggest bringing a car to get the most experience of the island. This islland is for the adventurous spirit. Hiking, biking, fishing, bird watching, photography. Come get away from the grind of everyday living and just enjoy pure Michigan at its best.

Woodsy Retreat

The apartment or the treehouse as some called it cause you are up in the air with the trees was just adorable!!!!. The 2 sliding glass doors with the 2 decks was so inviting, there was a nice breeze thru out the apartment. You could hear the loons And other birds all day - so relaxing! The rest of the apartment was lovely as well. Can’t wait to go back!!

Great tree house apartment in a great location.

Convenient to town and the west side beaches. On beautiful inland lake. Apartment is very well thought out and equipped, a little roomier than it appears in the listing photos. Great hosts who were on site during our stay in main house. Faces southwest with sliders to open and screened decks so there’s always a cool breeze. We’ll go back.
