Long’s Vista Cabin is the perfect family vacation home right at the doorstep of Rocky Mountain National Park. Our comfortable two-level home is built into Eagle Cliff Mountain and offers 1,800 square feet with four bedrooms and two baths. You’ll enjoy spectacular, secluded views of Long’s Peak and Beaver Point from the main living area and spacious upper-level wrap around deck. Located on two acres of land adjacent to the National Park, you’ll witness the beauty of the Rockies right outside your window. Ample wildlife, including deer, elk, wild turkeys and even bears enjoy visiting our property.

The main floor living area is accessed via a set of stairs and features a large river rock wood-burning fireplace, a 32” HD TV/DVD with Direct TV, free Wi-Fi, fully-equipped kitchen, dining table with seating for six to seven and bar seating for two. The deck has a large table with tilting umbrella so you can enjoy eating alfresco, as well as comfortable outdoor furniture where you can relax, read a book or just enjoy the sunshine. Main floor bedrooms feature a queen bed or two twins and a shared full bathroom.

The lower level offers additional family living space with TV and Play Station gaming system, the perfect place for kids to enjoy a break from mom and dad — or maybe the other way around. Both bedrooms on this level have queen beds and share a full bath. The downstairs laundry room is equipped with a full size washer and dryer.

Relax in the shade on our porch swing as you listen to the sounds of the Big Thompson River rushing over the rocks in the distance. Challenge your friends and family to an old fashioned game of horseshoes, there’s a pit just down the hill from the driveway. Parking at our home is plentiful and can fit four vehicles.

Location-wise, you are merely minutes away from entering the National Park for a day of hiking, fishing, exploring and enjoying all that the Rockies have to offer. If you’re looking to shop or enjoy a good meal out, you’re just a quick five-minute drive from downtown Estes Park. You’ll find boutiques, bookstores and fudge shops run a plenty in Estes. There are a number of eateries downtown, which range from delicious home-style barbeque to Nepalese cuisine for you to try on your visit.

We invite you, your family and friends to experience all the beauty and majesty the Rocky Mountains have to offer from our home. We know you’ll have many happy memories of your time spent here just as our family has and hope you’ll want to return year after year to make more.

Average Experience

This house does not deserve an "Exceptional" rating. We found several bugs in the house. I'm not sure if you spray regularly but the inside should be sprayed regularly. There were several issues in the downstairs bathroom. The toilet was not properly attached to the floor, the towel rack kept coming off the wall, and the shower curtain looked like it hadn't been clean. I also thought the "Check out" list was a little much for the cost that we had to pay for the cleaning fee. There were a lot of things to do before checking out which makes it difficult when you are trying to leave before 10 am.

Close to RMNP

Nice cabin feeling home. Plenty of space. Could use some new towels. Kitchen was well stocked but drawers and cupboards could use a deep clean. Nice decor but whole place could use a good dusting. Nice touch to provide rain jackets. Good WiFi and lots of TV channels. Fun watching all the wildlife right in the yard. Overall a great place!

It was the perfect place for us...

The 2 stories worked well for us, with the 5-year-old staying upstairs with his parents and grandparents downstairs. The kitchen was very well stocked which made our cooking easy. And the house was very close to Rocky Mtn Park which made getting to the park convenient.

Comfortable, convenient cabin with a great view.

Had a wonderful two weeks at this roomy, comfortable cabin in a private location, very convenient to Rocky Mountain National Park. Loved waking up to a view of Long's Peak, and sitting on the deck enjoying the sunshine in the afternoons.

Longs Point

We just left after 5 days of relaxing fun with five adults and 2 children. Well stocked kitchen and cooked most meals there. Check out the pantries and cabinets before you go to the grocery store. Beds were comfortable and the cabin was spotless. The huge deck was great for hummingbird watching as well as seeing deer walk right through the yard. The kids had fun exploring in the large yard and trees were perfect for the hammock we brought. Owner was communicative and helpful. Thank you Kim for your hospitality.

Everything we needed and more!

We were in Estes Park to explore Rocky Mountain National Park and this was a perfect home base for our group. We had 6 adults and 2 children and this was a good size for us while also being affordable. And literally 5 minutes away from the RMNP gate which let us spend more time in nature and less time in a car. It had all the basics but then there were also these very helpful touches like tissues in every room, hairdryer for each bathroom, hiking carrier for children, so many toys for the kids, a plethora of blankets, humidifiers, good info on the surrounding area etc…It felt like the owners really cared about their guests. Fully stocked kitchen including children’s utensils and bowls! Everyone in our group commented on how comfy the beds were. We made very good use of the horseshoe court! Pretty incredible being able to play out there with a fantastic view of Long’s Peak and the sound of the Big Thompson river near by. We were thankful to be shielded from the hustle and bustle of Estes Park downtown but still a 5 minute drive to groceries and restaurants. Only downside was the Wi-Fi desperately needs to be upgraded. Had to use phone data to access internet. Despite that, I would definitely rent this place again in a heartbeat.

Great experience!

Had a great time at the house. Plenty of room for a set of grandparents, 2 young married couples and a 2 and 3 year old! Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of space to hang out together inside and on the deck. Appreciated the toys and table and chairs for the kids. Enjoyed watching the hummingbirds at the feeder on the deck! Also a great location for getting into the park and into town and just hanging out.

Family vacation

Absolutely the best location hands down for coming and going into Estes Park and RMNP. House was exactly as it is in pictures and when they say fully stocked they mean fully stocked ranging from condiments to toiletries. We saw so much wildlife right outside on the deck. Saw a family of elk with the baby nursing , and deer. Will be planning out next trip again. Thanks for allowing us to use your home for the week.

Wonderful, Beautiful, Cozy

Such a great place to stay. Beautiful views from the deck. The deck was a perfect extension of the living space. This house is located away from the tourist hustle of Estes Park yet so close to everything. The house is comfy-cozy and the kitchen is well equipped. The beds were pretty comfy for a home away from home. We used the grill almost every night and avoided the crowed restaurants. The two living/family rooms were perfect to spread out in for a big group. The washer and dryer were clean and great. We used the wood fireplace on two cool nights. It was such a treat. There were many games of horse shoes. Who knew that would be such fun for the family. We also gathered around the large table and played games. The animals passing by the windows were amazing. We even hiked right from the house. If I ever come back to Estes park with a group I would absolutely rent this place again. The driveway up was rough but kinda of fun and part of the adventure. Beware of the busy main grocery store. The staff was overwhelmed. I have never waited in such long lines. Maybe try to go in morning while tourist are in the woods. Yikes!. Also great pizza at Antonio’s Real NY pizza. I accepted all of my family’s kudos for picking out this wonderful VBRO. Highest recommendation.

Beautiful spot, comfortable home

We had such a nice time here! The beds were really comfortable, and we slept great after long days of hiking in RMNP. The layout of the house was perfect for us - the upstairs living room and downstairs family room gave us room to spread out and gave our young adults their own space. We had some fun horseshoe tournaments, made good use of the huge collection of family games, enjoyed sunrises and rainbows from the deck, and cooked great meals in the well-stocked kitchen. We had everything we needed for a comfortable and memorable stay. Highly recommended!

The property is conveniently located close to town (grocery, shopping, liquor, etc) and is also close to RMNP park entrance. We went on amazing hikes during the day and then were able to easily dine at some wonderful local restaurants or grill back at the house.

Long's Vista Cabin is a life long dream vacation home. The home was originally built for the enjoyment and use by the immediate family. After so many years and wonderful memories, we decided we needed to share this home with others.

Why they chose this property

The somewhat secluded location of Long's Vista cabin is ideal. The location allows the traveler to view and hear wildlife without all the noise and congestion experienced closer to town.

What makes this property unique

The house sits on a hill where you can see the tram as it goes up and down Prospect Mountain. Wildlife can be seen all around the cabin. There are rocks and trees to be climbed and you can even play a game of horseshoes at the pit located just down the hill from the driveway.
