We had all our basic amenities. There was no cell service which was perfect for an unplugged weekend. Would recommend for anyone looking for a quiet peaceful weekend away.
Remote, rustic lakeside setting with a kayak and a couple rowboats. As pictured, the property is right on the water with a nice dock. Wide variety of cookware and has two kitchens. Both the Hot showers and heat work great, which was awesome for our visit in late September. Added plus that we could bring our dog on vacation. Communication with the host was excellent. Couple drawbacks - Host recommended to bring own drinking water, we found the beds are very soft and guests are required to remove your own garbage upon leaving. If you leave on a day that the town refuge site is not open, you will need to take home your garbage. Overall pleased with the property.
Tom is a wonderful host, very responsive and respectful!! Answered all of our questions and followed up quickly. As the title states this is a quiet lake with with great sun rises and wonderful campfires. 2 boats and kayak plus a canoe, so lots of ways to explore the lake. Lord willing we'll be back. Thanks Tom for sharing your camp
We spent almost a week and couldn't have enjoyed our time more. The house is an excellent setup, inside & out, and the fishing is even better. Tom was very pleasant to communicate with. We cannot wait to come back!
We had a small wedding ceremony on the shore of the lake, which was super clean. No loud jet skis or parties here, just very peaceful The house was very spacious and our host Tom, was very helpful. It was great to deal with someone who knew the property well, as it is in his family. We would definetely visit again!
My family and I had a wonderful time during our stay. This is the perfect family vacation spot The views of the lake are beautiful. The 2 kitchens were very helpful when cooking for my big family. The location of the house is private and quiet with the convenience of a town close by to shop for groceries. Tom, the owner was very friendly and called several times during our stay to answer any questions that we had. I would highly recommend this lake house for you and your family. We made many happy memories and will definitely be returning.
We had a wonderful time at this lake house. The lake itself is beautiful. Tom, the host was in touch and helpful. This stay offered tranquility, peace and a closeness to nature I think we all need right now. I would definitely stay here again and recommend future guests do too.
The cabin was perfect for my family especially my grandson. Very comfortable, clean and cozy. It’s definitely a plus having a huge kitchen for meal prep for my hungry family. Having use of the boat, canoe and kayak was awesome. My boys caught big bass and pike all week. Tom was very easy to work with and I would definitely recommend this rental to friends
we completely enjoyed our stay. Quiet lake peaceful. Was glad for the WiFi was able to use our cells and stream on small tv we brought .we fished grilled outside used fire pit .Brought 2 kayaks and used row boat for fishing. Played lots of cards and went to ausable chasm and lake Champlain .GOOD TIME thanks TOM!!
We had a fantastic long weekend with our family at this camp. Had everything we needed. Loved kayaking the lake. Tom was a fantastic host, and made everything very easy. Great experience.
Nice, quiet lake to stay on. Close to many popular tourist areas. House was well equipped with all your needs. Highly recommend 4x4 due to the steep driveway. This property and lake have no boat launch access.
This place was just what we needed for a long weekend! The location was perfect, the house just steps away from the private lake. There are neighbors but woods separating them, so you barely see or hear them. The backyard fire pit was so nice, and there's enough space to relax or set up a nice game of Kan Jam. There is a kayak and row boats there, although we brought our own. Easy to drag them into the lake off the dock. The lake is much bigger than we thought, which made it really fun to explore with the kayaks. The house was bigger than it looked in pictures, with two big kitchens- we used one for storage and the other for cooking. The screened in porch was nice for eating too- we were barely inside though other to cook and sleep since the weather was perfect. Ausable Chasm is a very short drive away, as well as Lake Champlain, so there is plenty to do nearby, although we enjoyed just hanging at the house by the lake mostly. Host was very responsive before and during our stay. Would definitely recommend this place!
Really enjoyed our stay. Peaceful and beautiful setting, large and clean cabin with two (2!) kitchens, and lots of watercraft (kayak, canoe, two rowboats). Could use some TLC in spots, but overall no real complaints. Needed to bring linens and towels, as well as drinking water (well water is fine for washing, not recommended for consumption). Very close to Ausable Chasm and the ferry to Burlington, VT where there is great shopping, restaurants, breweries and distilleries with easy walking distance from the port. Recommend highly the 2.5 mile hike up Poke-o-Moonshine mountain. Unbelievable views and a firetower to climb with the "steward" of the firetower on top to answer all your questions. Especially loved sitting around the firepit at night, looking up at the brilliant stars. Would love to go back again!!
