Fantastic Cabin!!
This cabin truly is a gem. The inside is very cozy and sitting by the fire is spectacular. The Vermont winter provided a ton of snow to play with for the kids and this location is surrounded by a great deal of land to play in. Strongly recommend to anyone.

Magnificent stay in every way
This is a gorgeous spot for relaxation – the edge of a woods looking out onto a huge field. The welcoming owner has provided every necessity and amenity, with comfortable beds and a fully stocked kitchen. And there’s nothing like cranking up the wood-burning stove to ward off the fall chill. Great hiking nearby at Putney Mountain.

quiet secluded spot
My wife and I enjoyed spending 4 nights here in late September. We made use of the well equipped kitchen to cook and wood stove made one of the chilly nights quite cozy. Sitting out on the porch and watching the horses across the road was super relaxing. The host was very responsive and communicative.

An amazing Vermont Log Cabin
Truly a gem. The cabin itself is fantastic and is perfect for a Vermont getaway. There is plenty of space to hike and take in nature as well. Great places to visit are just a short drive away. I can't say enough how much we love this cabin.

Cozy cabin
Overall stay wonderfull Let me start out by saying… against owners advice we arrived in the dark😋. But we were greeted with Christmas lights on the staircase to the loft, very nice touch and welcoming! The cabin is rustic yet modern at the same time, just what we were looking for. Our plan was to un plug from the world and this cabin provided that. We were also looking for some snow and our hosts provided that as well⛄️ Fireplace was a great touch and made the cabin cozy and warm. 2 minor issues to think about…. Drapes, blinds, shears, I realize you do not want to take away from the view, but we did feel a-bit like fish in a fish bowl. Also bed was a bit hard for me sleeping was uncomfortable. So if you like the bed firm then your good😀 Like a said in the beginning We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the relaxation and time away! Thank you for sharing your home with us! Teri obrzut

A great comfortable cabin.
This place was a gem - we have found inside everything a family away from home needed! Very thoughtfully appointed and decorated. Comfortable beds, all the modern appliances, even a jet tub! Thre’s a small library inside and a well stocked collection of DVDs. The cabin is secluded far away from a small country road and there’s nothing that breaks in through the privacy of the meadow and woods buffer acres. The hosts were most attentive and kind and graciously helped us! We had a great stay in Brookline!

What a little pocket of peace!
This cabin has everything you need — clean, ample kitchen, sleeps 4, absolutely KILLER DVD library (unreal — indexed and coded), Wi-Fi, and a porch on which you can sit and see nothing greenery, trees, and the Windmill Hill Ridgeline, which is hikable and right down the street (800 ft). Owner Liz is accessible and communicative, and she got us in, simple instructions, in the dark. All in all, a great getaway. Thanks, Liz and Joe!

Anniversary get away
We had a wonderful time at Elizabeth’s cabin. It’s just as we remember from 2010. The only thing we had an issue with is a machine or fan constantly running across the street. It is just a tranquil place but constantly hearing the fan or machine running takes away from the quiet & tranquility for us! We love to listen to nature & it took away from it.

Perfect Get Away
This cabin is the perfect blend of comfort and rustic nature. The kitchen was well stocked, the jacuzzi was deep, the bed was comfortable. The stove kept the place warm at night but a few open windows and a cross breeze was perfect. The porch was perfect to sit on and you really felt it was remote but a short drive brought you to all the amenities of Putney and Brattleboro. Would definitely book again.

Fantastic Vermont Getaway
Such a great cabin with an equally great property to explore and play in. We are a family with small children and this cabin was perfect. Inside was cozy and great for family memories and outside was so much fun to play in the snow with. You are also about 45 minutes from many great Vermont attractions. Highly recommend to everyone

WOW!
What an amazing slice of heaven Liz and Joe have in Brookline, VT. My wife and I spent our 34th wedding anniversary at their place this past weekend and we absolutely feel in love with the place. The log cabin sites at the back of a cleared lot with a great view of mountains across the semi traveled road leading to the property. The stats at night are beyond anything we could have imagined and we have stayed in extreme northern Maine and haven’t seen stars this amazing. It was like someone was shacking a salt shaker down on us. The cabin is set up perfect and we cooked all of our meals right there. Heating this cabin didn’t take much at all and on one or two occasions after only cooking dinner it was hot enough to have to open windows with it only being in the low 50’s outside. We traveled to Battlesbori, VT and also visited both Vermont Country Stores and Lawrence’s Smoke Shop in Townshend, VT for some great cheeses and cob smoked bacon. Brookline doesn’t have many places to shop but the nearby town of Newfane has a general store, wine/beer (no spirits) shop and an ACE Hardware. There were also two restaurants but we didn’t have time to try either so we couldn’t honestly give a review of them. One called Ricks had a for sale sign out front if anyone is looking to own a restaurant in southern VT. We would highly recommend this place to anyone for a getaway. It’s about a two and a half hour drive from the northwest corner of CT. Straight up I-95 to Route 30 north. Thank you Liz and Joe. Ray & Brenda

Great place to relax
We got to the cabin late at night and of our 4 different stays while we were touring Vermont we enjoyed this one the most. Elizabeth was really helpful with the check in procedure and allowed for contactless check-in that was clear. When we arrived the cabin was incredibly clean. We enjoyed the amount of kitchenware provided which allowed us to make some home cooked meals from items we got at the Battleboro Farmers Market. It was also incredibly relaxing to spend time in the spacious living room and just watch scary movies on the TV. The only thing we didn't enjoy as much is that there were no blinds on the windows. The cabin was far out enough to be private and not have this be an issue though. Cannot stress enough, it was a wonderful place and a great price for the multitude of amenities included. Would book at this location again in a heartbeat.
