FLIP FLOP PIT STOP has all the space and amenities you will LOVE to have on a relaxing vacation. Two (2) story house with Master bedroom and Master bath on second floor. Private deck off Master bedroom with two (2) captain chairs for beautiful views of sunrise and ocean.
Main deck has long benches to enjoy beautiful sunsets. Wonderful seating all over decks and ground floor for any type of socializing or relaxation. Premium entertainment for music and television and a fully loaded kitchen. We are 2-3 minutes walking distance from the beach and the washout!

NEVER AGAIN

My overall impression was complete disappointment. I have never rented from VRBO and showed up 20 minutes before the check in time to have someone still attempting to clean. Yard was not mowed. He left all of his yard equipment out. We were picking up piles of dog hair. We had to sweep and mop when we got there. The showers did not have ANY pressure, NONE. We called and Mrs. Harper the manager said they have been having problems. Why would you rent with known issues of this type. I told her the cabin was in poor condition and we were very unhappy about it. The showers got fixed, we cleaned up and had a successful weekend but we will not be returning to the Flip Flop Pit Stop.

We will definitely be booking with her again. The house was beautiful and the location was perfect. The house had everything you would possibly need. Seriously all you need to bring is you and clothes. Check in amd out was simple. Everything was perfect!

Absolute perfection

The house was amazing! We had everything we could possibly need and more. The location couldn’t have been more perfect. Walking distance to the beach. Communication with Debbie was wonderful and I’m extremely grateful for her honest nature as my oldest son left his debit card behind and she messaged me about it, followed by her mailing it to me. We all loved the getaway and would love to return. 10 out of 10! I would highly recommend this property to others.

Family Vacay

This place was so fun and fully stocked. My 5 year old loved it and the rest of the family was very happy, especially with all of the outdoor seating.

Beautiful Place

This house was amazing. We’ve been coming to Galveston for 8 years. This was the nicest house by far. Owners were wonderful. Even went to store to buy paper towels and toilet paper. Never had anyone do that for us. Would highly recommend the place for a family visit.

Thumbs up for The Flip Flop Pit Stop

This was our first VRBO experience. 10/10 would absolutely recommend. Debbie contacted us before our trip to answer any questions. It was an extremely hassle free stay. The house was great and we made it home for our 5 days in Crystal Beach. This property was extremely accomodating. Short walk (or golf cart ride) to the beach. Very short drive to the stores.

This house is neat, and the amenities are well-thought out. The owner was very accommodating & kind. Can't beat the location. We stayed 7 nights, and enjoyed every minute of it!

Nice cabin

We really enjoyed our stay at the beach cabin. Cabin was nice and clean. Had all the towels, wash cloths, and kitchen amenities. I don’t think the dishwasher was working or I couldn’t figure out how to work it. The futons were not comfortable for an adult to sleep on but ok for kid. Overall we were happy with out stay and would recommend to others.

Big and Comfortable, but.....

This property was big and comfortable enough for our large group. The location was great with easy access to the beach and grocery store. However, there were a few negatives. Communication with the owner of this property is slim to none. I messaged twice about check-in instructions, never got a reply. Upon arrival the owner was still there cleaning so if you are looking for a "contactless" arrival this property did not offer it. At first glance the home looked clean but by no means it is clean enough for anyone who has a compromised immune system. The double shower that was advertised on the listing is only a single shower in reality because one of the showers did not work. The fridge was full of food so it was difficult to fit the things we brought with us. Our group could not enjoy the downstairs area and fire pit because the grass was at least knee high which made the mosquito problem much worse. The owner said it had been raining too much for the lawn to be mowed however all of the surrounding properties were nicely mowed. I messaged the owner again to get check out instructions but did not get a response to my message. Above all, the property is big, comfortable and beautifully decorated but communication and cleanliness could use a bit of work.

Worst experience

The first group got to our house at 415pm, check in was 4. The owners were cooking in the house. They said they needed a few minutes. They made my elderly parents wait outside in the heat and they took about an hour and a half to leave. They very obviously live there, they didn’t clean hardly anything. The fridge was full of their food and we had to clean it and rearrange it to even put a partial amount of our food in it. We had to wash the sheets. I’m immunocomprised and at the point couldn’t trust that anything had been cleaned. The entire house was filled with their belongings. The sinks weren’t washed. Only one shower head worked. I could go on and on. I have pics and videos for evidence.

Relaxing time

I would have provided 5 stars but when we arrived there was open used food (including old cut up fruit) in the fridge and freezer we had to clean out. Upon arrival, I promptly sent a message to owners of all damage and notified of fridge and outside trash and a child’s tooth (yes a tooth) we found in the kitchen. I did not get a response until 3 days later when I reported/discovered the dishwasher did not work. Otherwise, beds were comfortable and clean. Plenty of extras like toilet paper and trash bags. Good proximity to beach.

Vow Renewal

The cabin was great! Our group had enough room for each person to get space when they needed to. The kitchen was well stocked and perfect for cooking and preparing food for our event. There were plenty of towels and sheets. The other guests enjoyed walking to the beach and sitting on the deck while the Gulf breezes blew. My only suggestion would be the addition of an elevator, but we had quite of bit of extra food, luggage, and decor items due to the event. We chose to use the backyard for our ceremony due to the number of people and some mobility issues of several guests. I have not gotten my pictures back yet, but I can't wait. The house was amazing!

Just what we needed

This rental is everything a group could want or need. Just as our time before, there was plenty of beds, plenty of room to entertain, from the Bluetooth stereo to the hammock downstairs . We love how the pantry and fridge have available food at our fingertips until we can get to the store. The location is perfect . Much to our delight she had added outdoor accent lighting that added to our festive stay. We love this place and will always hope to return.

Awesome Home!

What a Shower!!

Such a perfect place to stay we enjoyed the swings and downstairs area and also laying out on 2nd floor and catching some rays. I also loved the top balcony for morning coffee. Owners were very nice and helpful. I will stay here again!

We returned to this home because we had a great experience our previous stay. However, our visit was a little hindered by the lack of communication. We weren’t told until minutes before arrival that the house was not finished cleaning yet. Check in was 4pm, but the owners were not gone until 7. Other than this, our stay was very enjoyable.

Freakin awesome!

Loved every minute of it! Wish we were still at the beach. Waking up in the master bedroom on the second floor honeymoon suite 😎was superb! Nice house and location view of the ocean and surrounding areas. Hope to buy a lot down there soon!
