My family has owned the property since 1914. We re-built the house in the summer of 2006 so the home is still relatively new. It is a very clean and relaxing home. The home was built with extra wide doorways so that wheelchairs can go through them. There are 4 steps to get up onto the porch to gain access to the main house, so some mobility is required to get in the home. There are also a dozen or so large uneven rock steps to get down to the lake beach.
*****The exits on Route 6 have changed. In years past you would get off on Exit 8 (Union Street). This has changed to Exit 75*****
For summer week rentals (mid June through early September), we offer our home as a Sunday to Sunday rental. The traffic is significantly lighter on Sundays than on Saturdays. The Sunday to Sunday rental is also great for those traveling to the cape for Saturday weddings/parties. During the spring and fall months we are more flexible and can begin any day of the week.
The home is cleaned and sanitized every week between rentals. All bedding is washed and / changed between rentals. We keep 2-3 sets of bedding linens for each bed. We also provide have a supply of sanitizing products, gloves, and masks.

Built in 2006, 'Scargo Bungalow' is nestled within 6.5 wooded acres on Scargo Lake. The home has an open floor plan/2100 sf. We have approx 300 feet of lake frontage. The main beach area has approx 30 feet of white sand lake frontage, a mahogany dock, and a sunbathing area. The beach/lake are perfect for both adults and children. The lake is crystal clear and is fairly shallow out about 50-60 feet.
The house also has a beautiful large screened in porch with wicker furniture (sofa and love seat) with a view out to the lake on one side and a ping pong table on the other side. For larger families we also have a 2nd set of wicker furniture that can be brought up from the cellar.
Walking distance to Corporation Beach and Howe's Beach, (just under 1 mile), the Cape Playhouse, Dennis Public Market, Scargo Hill Tower, numerous quaint antique and gift shops, several restaurants including Fin, Pheasant, Scargo Cafe, Encore, etc., town library, post office, and Ice Cream shops (Dennis Creamery and a Gelato place). The Ice Cream Smuggler is now located at the corner of Route 6A and Route 134. With the exception of the Ice Cream Smuggler, all places listed are within a 5-20 minute walk. Several golf courses/tennis courts/walking and bike trails within a 10 minute drive.
42" LED HDTV flat screen in the family room, beds have Temperpedic mattresses or Temperpedic type 'mattress toppers', Central A/C, Culligan Water Softener, Enclosed Outdoor Shower with dressing and seating areas, Fire Pit, Several Lawn and Beach Chairs.
There are 3 full bedrooms and one loft area w/a pull out sofa (and privacy screen) two of the bedrooms have queen size beds, the 3rd bedroom has twin beds + a roll away hotel type twin bed. We also have 2 tri-fold cushions (approx twin size) that can be used as a floor mattress. There is plenty of open space for air mattress as well. There is a second loft area with sofa and and chairs for reading, playing board games, etc.
2 Full Bathrooms with bathtub/shower; one on 1st floor and one on 2nd floor. One enclosed 4' x 8' outdoor shower.

Large, clean, airy, and fully equipped kitchen (toaster, auto-drip coffee maker and Keurig, blender, waffle maker, etc.)
New large Speed Queen Washer and Dryer in 2019.
Great room has a cathedral ceiling with ceiling fan and matching leather sofa, loveseat, and chair. Hardwood floors throughout the cottage. Bathrooms are tiled. No wall to wall carpeting.
