Excellent location in a quaint home
We had a wonderful time in Dunedin and this home was the perfect place to kick off our fun. It was not even a block away from where we could pick up the free ride car and rent bikes to explore more. Loved reading about the family who own the home.

Historical Gem
Perfect location to enjoy all that Downtown Dunedin has to offer. We were in Dunedin to attend a wedding. We were able to walk to all the activities associated with the wedding. I would definitely stay here again. The house had plenty of room for all four of us with the three large bedrooms. It is a very interesting home as well with all the history displayed in it. The neighborhood is beautiful and very quiet for being one block away from downtown.

Perfect location with historic charm.
Great location, 2-3 blocks to all restaurants, shops, fair grounds, and water. Older home with upgrades. Clean, relaxing and comfortable describes this location. Sitting on the screened front porch at night was enjoyable and perfect after a busy day. An enormous amount of cooking, eating, food prep appliances and dishes/glasses available. Lots of personnel effects left behind from owners which was different but also inviting.

A Wonder Rental Except For
It's a great rental! Loved the location and the screened porch and the kitchen and pretty much everything except the televisions. We were two 82 year olds with minimal tech savy regarding televisions and television service providers. We could not get the tv in the living room to turn on and reached out to the host who promptly responded but could do nothing to help. We had better luck with the tv in the first floor bedroom, however, it appeared we needed to subscribe to some type of streaming service to get programs we really wanted to watch -- such as the Super Bowl on CBS. We found ourselves frustrated -- likely due to our ineptitudes. It would have been nice to have been told about the tvs in advance and to have some printed guidance in the rental for each tv.

The name is in the title...charming!!
We had such a wonderful time renting this house. It was absolutely perfect and was fully stocked! We felt like we were at home. It’s super close to shops and dining; definitely walking distance. We will absolutely rent again. My husbands family is in Clearwater and it’s much easier for us to rent a home vs renting hotel rooms (and even cheaper most of the time). The hosts went out of their way to be in contact with us about check in, check out, and anything else we needed. I’d give more stars if I could.

Great house, close to restaurants in downtown Dunedin
Thoughtful extras included like towels, chairs, umbrella, cooler for the beach. Would give 5 stars except the upstairs AC went out our last night. Will stay again.

Charming and homely
The home was beautifully maintained and quiet.   Rooms were spacious and had a strong, enjoyable sense of the home's history.  Waverley responded quickly to inquiries and was very helpful.  Looking forward to staying there again in the future.  Thank you.

Adorable!
Absolutely precious vintage home within walking distance of shops, great restaurants, the waterfront, docks, bike trail, weekend craft shows, etc. With 3 baths, it was very comfortable for 3 couples. Perfect for families or a girls trip! Did I mention the short walk to great restaurants!?! The large kitchen is well equipped if you want to prepare meals. There's a dining room and living area with TV, but the majority of our time at the house was spent on the screened front porch. If you appreciate the quirks of a well loved older house vs the shiny and new, I highly recommend Waverly's charming home.

Be a part of Dunedin history
This is the second year that we have rented this beautiful historic home - we call it the Mansion. I live in Dunedin and when my friends visit, we rent this home as an extension to my residence. Initially, it was simply convienient for the additional space close to my home and downtown to accommodate guests. But now it has become a focal point and everyone enjoys game night and dinner at the mansion! It is beautifully furnished yet very cozy! You feel like you have stepped back to a simpler time in the "Old Florida".

Cozy, comfortable stay
We stayed at this lovely Dunedin home for s surprise 90th birthday party for family in the area. The house was perfect! Every amenity you could want was provided, the kitchen was fully stocked, and the beds were so comfortable. It was also immaculate. The location is perfect---just a short walk to downtown as well as to the waterfront and marina. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to others.

Great location, great house, great host.
We had a wonderful stay at Waverly's house in Dunedin. We were down to visit family over the holidays. Waverly's house allowed all of us to stay comfortably. We took many walks into delightful downtown Dunedin and enjoyed pleasant times just sitting on the front porch watching the world go by. The house was well stocked and very clean. While we didn't get around to using the bicycles, we did use the barbecue grill for several dinners at "home". Waverly - though we never met - is a thoughtful accommodating hostess and we enjoyed our stay immensely. Thanks, Waverly.

Experience Old Florida style in lovely Dunedin home!
Pleasant and relaxed living was ours for a long weekend in this traditional, comfortable, and attractive home. Located in the picturesque coastal town of Dunedin , this home is spacious and well-appointed. It was very beneficial to us that this home had a downstairs bedroom and bath as one of our family could not do stairs. The home included three spacious sleeping areas that were both comfortable and private. Waverly, the very accommodating owner, provided a pristine location, well-stocked pantry and linens and start-up supplies, and tips about sites, activities, restaurants, and shops. We found time to visit Honeymoon Island, Caladesi State Park (voted Best Beach in the U.S), and the pier at Edgewater Park to watch the sunset; we also had ice-cream at Strachan's, shopped at quaint little shops, and enjoyed several incredible meals. We had delicious cheesesteaks at Delco's, amazing brunch selections on Sunday at The Living Room , and wonderful breakfasts at Kelley's . Incredibly, almost everything was within comfortable walking distance! We especially enjoyed visiting the beautiful nearly one-hundred year-old church across the street. There was time for a delicious home-cooked meal, enjoyed in the lovely dining room, and board games afterward in the living room. While the ladies rested, the men took the Dunedin Brewery Tour...a big success. All weekend was a fulfilling, much-needed break at a gorgeous locale. We will happily return for future visits. Thank you so much, Waverly, for providing this wonderful "home away from home".

The perfect vacation home in Dunedin
We had the good fortune to select this charming home in Dunedin for our recent visit with Family located in the surrounding area. This property provided us with a great location very close to the main street with some of the best dinning and local attractions. Notable for a truly special dinner is the Black Pearl which is an absolute must, as well as Bon Appetit which was also very good with the added bonus of a clear view of the evening sunset. The house itself is well appointed, kitchen completely stocked, and the bed's very comfortable. We enjoyed the screened in porch in the evenings, and riding the Pinellas trail with the bicycles provided in the cooler mornings. We visited Clearwater as well as Honeymoon beach, both were quite nice but we would recommend avoiding the weekend causeway traffic. The property owner, Waverly, was very helpful providing detailed information on activities and local dinning before we arrived which helped us greatly with our pre-planning. When we are again in Dunedin we would certainly look to return to this home.

Great Stay
We had a wonderful stay at the property on Scotland Ave in Dunedin. The house was spacious, very clean, fully stocked, and in close walking distance to downtown. Owner Waverly Rennie was upbeat responsive to all our requests. Thanks for a good vacation.

Dunedin the Charmed Life
This was such a comfortable and welcoming home from the moment one enters through the screen porch with its floral settee and chairs, and wooden picnic table. The home has a family history ;and one immediately feels a part of the memories and capable of creating new ones. Our family played games in the parlor, cooked Sunday dinner in the fully equipped kitchen, and dined in the formal dining room. Feeling nostalgic for simpler times was present, but all the amenities were there too-TVs in bedrooms, internet access, designer comforters, abundant linens and towels, and little extras such as travel size toiletries in each of the three bathrooms. The home on a tree lined street with friendly neighbors was 2 blocks from Main Street which had many restaurants and shops, the location was close to a park and waterfront dining. We could make this a family tradition each Fourth of July.

I grew up in Richmond, Virginia but have worked for the last 30 years in international public health in Africa, Asia and Latin America. I have always enjoyed staying at VRBO properties and am delighted to share our Old Florida home with you!

Why they chose this property

My great-grandfather built the house in 1922. My grandmother and mother both grew up there, and my mom was married in the church across the street in 1952. More than 60 years later, my parents still live here part time. I used to love driving down from Virginia to visit and smelling the jasmine and orange blossoms when we arrived in quaint Dunedin. Our wonderful property manager lives nearby.

What makes this property unique

It's such a pretty neighborhood and just two blocks to Dunedin's Main Street, with the farmers' market, shops, restaurants, festivals, etc. Downtown Dunedin is such a cute little Old Florida small town tucked away far from the strip malls. This home has most everything you need. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and dry goods (spices, salt and pepper, plastic wrap, paper towels etc.) We have fresh new linens including beach towels, vases for the jasmine and hibiscus growing around the house, some lovely china and elegant but comfortable furnishings from family travels all over the world. There are beach towels, beach chairs and a cooler on the back porch.

The front screened in porch is our favorite place for lunch and drinks in the evenings, a great place to watch passers-by out walking their dogs or heading for the farmers' market. Such an easy stroll to restaurants or the water's edge for sunset. Enjoy our wonderful Old Florida home!
