quad-level home with 215 feet Lake Michigan waterfront. Exposed
wooden beams, vaulted ceiling, wall-to-wall windows and panoramic
view of the Mighty Mac. Whirlpool bath and walk-in closet in
master bath with private deck. Bay windows, skylight, fireplace and
huge laundry room, plus 2 full decks to view Lake Michigan. Located
just North of the Mackinac Bridge, in St. Ignace, on Gros Cap Road.
(Pronounced Grow-Cap, means large cape in French.)This abode offers
privacy and seclusion, with downtown just 8 miles away.

Nice house with a few inconveniences.

We had an excellent time in the area. The location was perfect. The only down side was that there is no wifi in the house. It made it difficult for one of our friends to stay in touch with his work and another sports fan couldn’t watch an opener of his football team. Also only one small TV in the entire house. We wouldn’t stay there again just for those reasons. But the house was very roomy and very well kept.

Awesome home!

Our (5 senior adults) stay was amazing! We had no idea that Upper Peninsula, MI, had so much to offer. This home was the perfect space for us to explore all there was to see and do.

Wonderful Stay Once Again!

Beautiful, well stocked home with amazing views! We are already booked again for next year and hope to continue for many years 😊It’s hard to find somewhere that we can get our adult kids together once a year - all the way from Texas and Wisconsin - and fit comfortably. The owner, Karen, is very responsive and kind. The only complaint is that the week goes too quickly!

The view from the deck with the Mighty Mac and Lake Michigan was wonderful. We were there two weeks and used it as a home base for exploring some of the Upper Peninsula. Our longest trip was about two hours away when we went to take the Pictured Rocks boat tour on Lake Superior.

Great Place to Stay

This was a very nice place to stay. Had all you could need (minus WiFi for the kids) but that wasn’t a problem. We got a hotspot for when we were hanging out at the house. Clean and comfortable. Great location, conveniently located to a lot of places. And the view is amazing! Communication with owner was superb and she suggested wonderful things to do and food to try.

My happy place

Sixth time staying here and I absolutely love it. Great location, great views, super clean and the owner Karen is very easy to work with. She even informs us when certain things are going on in the area, this time was the semi truck show. The only thing I’m unhappy with is that it’s getting harder to book a week for our next stay as the calendar fills up quickly.

The best ever!!

The house was the cleanest place we have ever stayed. It was comfortable and offered us everything we needed. The view was unbelievable and the decks were practically used as much as the beds. I can't think of anything that was lacking. I hope to be back soon. Do not hesitate to stay here. Went to Mackinaw Island 1 day, so easy from here. And rode through the locks 1 day. Perfect.

Lake Michigan Home

Karen’s home is wonderful - spacious with absolutely amazing setting! Having 4 queen beds in separate rooms is difficult to find and we have been looking for a place that will allow us to have our 3 adult children and their partners all stay. Since we are now in 3 different states (as far as Texas for one!) getting all together is a treasured time. We will book again for next year and thank you, Karen, for sharing your wonderful home!! To help those coming for the first time: the basement bed doesn’t have a door so is less private. It would be wonderful if there was a small movable privacy screen for that bed but it’s a beautiful view of the lake! We used our inflatable Kayak and our paddle board and it wasn’t hard at all to put those in the water. Rocks and a bit mucky but gorgeous clear water and it’s shallow for a ways! I was surprised how little water traffic there was. The beds are on the firm to very firm side - so if that is an issue for you maybe bring a topper.

Relaxing Lake getaway

We enjoyed our time in St Ignace at this property. The location is amazing and the photos of the house do not do it justice. Comfortable furniture in the living room makes for a great place to just relax and watch the water. Would stay here again!

This is my 2nd time staying here and the location and the view are absolutely perfect! The views of the Mackinac Bridge and Lake Michigan make me never want to leave. There is so much to do in the UP and the location of this house makes quuck day trips possible. I absolutely love this home!!

View of Mackinac Bridge

This is our 4th year staying here. We love staying the size of the property and how close we are to so many different activities in the St Ignace/Sault Sainte Marie area. Karen has always done what she could to make our stay great! The bonus of this property is the view of the water and Mackinac Bridge. (Especially at night when the bridge has its lights on!)

This is a great home away from home! You can begin your day with a cup of Java sitting on the deck and look at the Mighty Mackinac Bridge, passing freighters, swans and perhaps an eagle! Many day trips to beautiful Upper Peninsula places--come home to relax!

What makes this property unique

My property is 4 levels with 2 decks and a back yard with 214' of Lake MI waterfront property. Using boat shoes, you can navigate swimming or fishing, with a license, on my property. It is a soothing vista of water, sometimes smooth and sometimes whitecaps are seen!
