Thanksgiving Vacation

My family and I came to the area to spend Thanksgiving with my son. This property was the perfect place for our family. We loved being on the river and watching the sunrises in the morning. The house was clean and had everything that we needed. Scott was easy to get a hold of. We would definitely stay there again!

This was our second stay, so glad we came back! this home holds our extended family of 10 perfectly, and the setting next to the river is perfect!

Was perfect for our wedding weekend

We got married in Tappahannock the weekend of December 21. I rented this property for my bride and her bridesmaids to stay and get ready in the night/day of our wedding and then we stayed at the house an extra day after. The property has amazing views of the river and tons of space. The home is dated, however it is shown through the pictures in the listing. We would rent this property again. The owners were great to work with!

Little Piece of Paradise

Such a beautiful view and plenty of space inside and outside of this lovely home. We have been renting for several years and always look forward to going back. Quickest two weeks of the year! Love it there.

Paddling Adventure

Was providing a place for son and friends to try to complete 2 legs of their paddle from Fredericksburg to the Chesapeake. Very nice house. 14 year old granddaughter enjoyed the basement pool table.

Beautiful comfortable home

My husband and I fell in love with this home we didn’t stay long enough so we will be staying again in the near future our host Scott was awesome Everything we needed was there the home is very roomy for my family and friends 9 of us, the yard is beautiful, right on the water I just can’t wait to stay there again, the location is great near all restaurants and Walmart, my friends are still talking about this house as well… Scott thank you for your generosity you’re a great host

This is our 5th year renting and LOVE it. So much space and gorgeous views. Our family just keeps growing and the house is able to accommodate. No to mention we love the river.

Wonderful property

This river home was truly a gift to my family. The location is beautiful, the house is cozy and has everything you need to settle in and feel at home. The house is so much bigger than it looks in pictures and there are so many rooms that you can spread out and relax easily. The dock was great and the beach you get at low tide was a favorite for me and my son. I hope to get to come back to this house one day for another stay! The host was also great with communication!

Piece of Paradise

Holiday long weekend

We were supposed to have been attending a wedding this weekend in Tappahannock but it was cancelled because of COVID. But so glad we kept the reservation. It was a beautiful weekend and we enjoyed every second.

Summer Vacation

This is our 4th year and another great stay on the Rappahannock River! The house continues to be upgraded and although we pretty much live on the front porch during the week, the house is big enough for us to spread out when needed. Neighbors are nice! Water is nice! Sunsets are beautiful! Already looking forward to next year.

Family friendly!!

This is our second year renting and as last year, we were very pleased. The weather and water couldn’t have been nicer. The home was clean and welcoming. We love that it is big enough to house 4 generations; my mom, my husband and I, my children and my grandchild. This has been a family tradition since I was a child and now incredible to share it with my first grandchild. We all love the river life and very thankful we have the opportunity to rent this cottage. Location couldn’t be any better. Already planning next years trip.

Relaxing Three Generation Family Vacation

Huge, well supplied home on the riverfront. Beautiful views from the enclosed, air conditioned porch. Ceiling fans everywhere and awesome air conditioning were greatly appreciated!! Great swimming, fishing, crabbing, and boating. Lots of things for everyone to do. Games, beach toys, highchairs, gates, game tables, kids bikes all extra things to make the stay enjoyable. Great driveway for bike riding too. Owners very helpful with any questions. Will definitely return and tell others about this relaxing place. Wonderful experience!!

Enjoyed the river view

We enjoyed our time and especially liked the river view. Great sunrises which we enjoyed since we were up early with a baby anyways. Old house but has some updates and character. The mattresses gave some of my family back trouble and would highly recommend new ones. Also, curtains would be nice for the windows. I’m aware that pets are allowed at this place but better cleaning afterwards would be nice. The couch in the sitting area by the kitchen was covered in it! There was also still a lot on the floor.

WOW!

Enjoyed, enjoyed and enjoyed! Online booking was easy. Property manager, Scott was supper helpful. Responded whenever we asked. Accommodated all of our wishes. It's a beautiful house, on a wonderful location. Fishing from our own pier. Enjoyed mini beach. Did BBQ. It has Gas and Charcoal grill. Had food on the nice patio. Nicely cleaned house. Love to see little update of the basement. Otherwise, fall in love with it. Will be back.

Great location right on the river

Loved waking up and watching the sunrise over the river. Loved going out on the dock and paddle boarding. Spacious home, very comfortable.
