We were in town for the Amateur National Motocross at Loretta Lynn’s. The house was perfect for family dinners and was an easy drive to Hurricane Mills. Beautiful setting by the lake.
Barbara was very quick to respond to all of my inquiries prior to our stay and the welcome Banana Bread was delicious!! Would stay again.
Our stay at this property was an example of Southern Hospitality at its best! The cabin had everything we could need or want to make our stay complete. The owner is a great lady and was there to address any needs that arose.
Thanks for making our stay so pleasant!
This is the place you are looking for if you want a great house in a quiet neighborhood that is beautifully maintained, comfortable and a fabulous value. The owner is really great, too - lives nearby in case you need anything, but is not at all intrusive. We've stayed here twice and are already trying to book it again. OH! And the porch is amazing. Great seating and the perfect place to sit and talk, watch fireflies and just relax.
We had a wonderful time at this lovely retreat. It's just a quick walk down the hill to the lake. Beds were super comfy. Surprisingly sound-proof upstairs. Late night fun playing games didn't keep people awake upstairs. 😊

Not sure how this rental gets 5 star ratings?
This was a fabulous VRBO experience. Property owner was wonderful and the property was everything we hoped and more. Neighborhood was quiet and neighbors were very friendly. I just wish I could give this review MORE THAN 5 STARS!!! Highly recommend!!!!!!
The home was exactly as advertised and very accommodating for our party of four. We were in TN for a Jeep event, and this was a great place to stay as it was away from the camping but close enough to The downtown Waverly area. Barbara met us at the house when we arrived and gave us information about where to eat, etc. The kitchen had what we needed when we did cook and grill out. It is hilly in this area, so it’s a good walk around the neighborhood. We would come back here if we are in this area again.
The drive alone to this place was extremely enjoyable! We were able to stay right as the leaves were turning and couldn't get enough of the scenery. Barb was an outstanding host! The large outdoor porch made it great to socially distance with out of town friends during our stay. I'm sure this won't be our last stay at Barb's place :)
We have lived on the lake for 40 years and love the quiet rural setting. It is also very convenient to the lake and any water sports. Danny is a retired construction supervisor and I still work part time for the Humphreys County Board of ED as testing coordinator. We have raised two sons here who enjoyed all the water sports that were so convenient.
