Beautiful lakefront, sunsets, Golf available -

Lyon Lake is a private lake (100 homes) covering around 200 acres. There is no public access.
- Limited boat traffic.
- Sandy bottom / spring fed lake. Very clean. Because it's a private lake we can keep it treated to control weeds.
- Good fishing for bass, bluegill, and sunfish

-House next to Marshall Country Club where arrangements can be made to play for people staying at this house.

The house was designed to take advantage of the west facing lake frontage. An open floor plan lets you enjoy the view from almost every room.
- Executive home. Completely rebuilt in 2008 with all the modern conveniences. Very private feel.
- West side of the house is almost entirely windows.
- Over 1200 sq ft of deck overlooking the lake, 200 of them covered.
- 750 sq ft great room on upper level has gas fireplace, wall of windows overlooking the lake, great seating areas, hd lcd tv, and stereo system.
- Lower level game room has pool table, gas fireplace, game table. Walk out to screened in porch on lakeside.
- King bedroom in lower level has lake view and door to screened in porch, and dog door to fenced in yard area.
- 210 ft of lakefront. Equivalent of 5 lots (3 on lake, 2 behind). Lots of parking.
- Plenty of lawn for games or just playing catch. Lots of mature trees.
- An office space attached to the great room has all you need to stay connected while still being part of the gathering.

Adjacent to Marshall Country Club
- Private club but arrangements can be made to play there for people staying at the house. - Club has a very nice pub / dining room only a short stroll from your front door.
- Pontoon boat and dock, and swimming raft available during the Summer season.
Easy to find and easy to get to other places from. Just two miles from I69 exit 32. Half way between Chicago and Detroit. Historic Marshall is only 5 miles away. Marshall has pretty much all the civilization you would want: antiques, restaurants, groceries, movie theater, bowling, museums, ice cream shops . . .

Well behaved dogs welcome WITH SPECIFIC CONSENT OF HOMEOWNERS. An additional $100 cleaning fee is required if pets are agreed to.

We had a wonderful stay. The house was everything I hoped it would be. The owner was fantastic, very responsive and helpful. He really seemed to care about how we were doing and if there was anything he could do.I would like to return sometime during warmer months.

Beautiful lake house
The home was really nice for a short family vacation. Expensive, but beautiful home with a beautiful view. Only big negative was the host getting there 15 minutes before our checkout time and waiting outside for us to leave. Made loading up our cars and packing up somewhat uncomfortable. Other than that, host was accommodating and nice. Would recommend if budget allows.

Early Fall Getaway
We have noticed this property for years, finally had dates line up for us. Very nice, large home, big comfortable, bedrooms, access to pontoon boat and an amazing view with incredible sunsets. Owner was easy to work with and caretakers were always available. Nice vacation!

Overall great place to stay on a lovely little lake.
Really loves the property and layout. Lots of outdoor space. I would only recommend you bring your own dish towels and beach towels and those are not provided ( I think there was one dish towel and dish rag). Wide open floor plan. Lots of room for guests.

Great accessible lake house
It is so hard to find accessible rentals, but this one exceeded our expectations! The lake is tiny but we enjoyed relaxing on the pontoon boat and the incredible view from the back deck. The town nearby (you must drive) had several restaurant options and parks that our family enjoyed. We would definitely return here!

Best Michigan Weekend!
This is the second time we have rented this VRBO property. From the ample deck space to the amazing sunsets to the charm of this quaint town, we love this location and home. There is a special peacefulness about this home that will bring us back again and again. The pontoon boat is just the icing on the cake. See you next year!

Amazing House
Our family loved the house!! From the second we arrived we were greeted and shown around. Kids loved dance parties in the basement and their bedroom. The views with all the windows were beautiful. Loved the deck to watch sunset and the kids got to fish for the first time. Great communication with the host from start to end. Would recommend this place to anyone staying in the area!

Our family stayed in this home over the Thanksgiving weekend, and it fit our family perfectly! Its very clean and roomy, everyone had a place to sit and we had plenty of space for our board game competitions. All of our needs were met and fun was had by all. Thanks Dean's Friendly!

Beautiful Lake House
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful lake house. We were there for a college reunion and it was a wonderful place to reconnect. The house was clean, comfortable and had everything we could possibly have needed. We will look forward to staying here again at a later date.

Beautiful house, wonderful location, perfect hosts
The house is absolutely beautiful and you feel right at home as soon as you enter. It was big enough that everyone felt comfortable and it was absolutely spotless! We were met promptly when we arrived and told everything we needed to know about the property. There were 6 of us plus our dog and we all really enjoyed hanging out at the house, cooking dinners on the grill, and going out on the boat. One of the reasons we rented this house is the accessibility for my Dad who is 91. He was able to maneuver through the house, bedroom, and get down to the yard and on the boat without issues. We grew up fishing and it's been a long time since my Dad was able to fish (he caught two!). The pictures don't capture just how special and wonderful a house this is. Thank you for the wonderful memories our family will have of the time spent in this beautiful house!

Amazing Lake House!
Upon arrival we knew this was the weekend house for us! This home is a mix of updated and original decor, and charming in every way. The lake views are amazing from every window. The deck was inviting and full of great conversation areas. Plenty of space for 6 adults, 3 teenagers and a dog. The property is huge and only a 4 minute walk from Marshall country club and golf course. The boat and kayaks were an extra perk! We used them all! Make sure you bring your fishing poles because the pan fish are plenty in this lake. The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need to cook your own meals. Make sure you visit the quaint town of Marshall where you will love the breweries and shopping. Can’t wait to go again next year!

Great Summer Getaway
We enjoyed our week on the lake very much! The floor plan of the home is great and everything is provided for your stay. We loved the pontoon and evening sunsets. Spent a lot of time in the water and fishing from the dock. The lake is quiet and the water was warm. Tom and Tammy were wonderful, and Mike was very responsive, as well. We'll be back next summer!

Exceptional Experience at Dean's Friendly
Beautiful, spacious property on a gorgeous, quiet lake. The managers are amazing and responsive. The lake was warm and clean. We had 10 adults and a toddler and never felt crowded! Everything you need is there, but being some beach towels along. Fishing on the dock was awesome. Dark Horse Brewery is great, as is shopping in downtown Marshall. I could have skipped Sand Hill Crane because the food is eh. The River Walk is a little outdated,but the Mansion Tour and Honolulu House were both interesting. Live music at the Country Club was great! We're booked for next year!

Such an amazing home❤️
Such a great home to stay at...... very comfortable and cozy. The property managers met us at the house and they were WONDERFUL. Always available to answer questions by text during our stay. The use of the boat was an awesome plus. The lake is very small and was cold this time of year, but we still enjoyed boat rides and the beautiful sunsets. The ONLY thing we can say that was a disappointment there was the lake bottom- thought it would be sandier at the cottage, but it was very mucky and weedy...... the kids didn’t like walking out there without shoes....... That being said, it was a great trip and Marshall is a wonderful town- everyone was sooo nice! Loved the stores, restaurants, and getting to visit Dark Horse Brewery! We will be back!!!❤️

Great Family Getaway
Very clean property and spacious home. Exactly as shown in pictures and described. Absolutely great communication with property manager. Beautiful lake house
Enjoyed our family get together here. Spacious, open floor plan home with wide lake views from most rooms in the house. Wonderful full length deck in back. Great having use of pontoon boat and kayaks. Had up to 8 adults with plenty of space. House managers are very responsive. Enjoyed a round of golf at course right down the street. Downtown Marshall has many great shops, restaurants and brewery. Can recommend coffee shop, Serendipity. We will be returning next year!

Family fun at the Lake
Great home, perfect little lake. Very clean property and very comfortable. Separate spaces for all of us. Pet friendly. Nice pontoon boat with tubing. Nicely appointed kitchen. Beautiful outdoor deck with views of the lake, We all had a great time and would definitely come back!

Family Lake Fun
This was a very well maintained, well stocked and well laid out house. We had small kids (3 under 7) and the dock and swim area, plus the boats, were perfect for entertaining the kids and providing family fun. Great experience and great sunsets from the expansive porch.

Awesome lake house - great getaway
Dean’s Friendly lake house was the perfect getaway. The house was spacious and clean and more importantly, right on the lake with a pontoon boat and kayaks available. Would definitely recommend and go back to enjoy some nice family time.

Great destination for any family.
Loved our stay here. Waterfront was great. It was 90 and sunny all week for us so having the water and boat were a blessing. This home is on a very large lot so it was nice to not be right on top of your neighbors. The home had just about everything you’d need. Marshall is just a short 10 minute drive to get ice cream or groceries. Golf course was nice to have within walking distance. This was a very friendly neighborhood. Taking walks here was like taking walks at home. It’s 1.90 miles around the lake so perfect distance for people that like to walk. We stayed the week leading up to the 4th of July so it was extra fun to see the patriotism all around the lakefront. The caretaker was great and checked in from time to time to make sure we were having fun and being taken care of. Thanks for the hospitality. Hope to stay again someday.

Great week at Dean’s Friendly on Lyon Lake
What a great week. The house had everything we needed and has awesome views of the lake from just about everywhere. We spent most of our time on the deck overlooking the lake. The deck has sunny and shaded areas so we never had to leave. We also used the pontoon boat to fish, swim, and just tour the lake. The kayaks were perfect when we wanted to get out on the water but didn’t want to take the boat out. We also swam right off the shoreline which has a nice sandy bottom. Tom and Tammy, the property managers were exceptional. They were very friendly and knowledgeable and they responded immediately anytime we had a question or needed assistance. Before the trip, communication with Dean, the owner, was also excellent. They had destructive winds a couple days before check-in that took down trees and power lines around the lake. Dean let me know early that power was out and it was uncertain when it would be restored. He updated me frequently over the next couple days so we could plan accordingly and we ended up checking-in right on time. It was a perfect way to start the summer. Thank you!
