We were upgraded to a charming and cute 100+ yr old cabin on a quiet paved road. Deck with hot tub situated on a flowing creek was so relaxing. Hosts were very accommodating!

Large Area for a Dog to exercise and Well Located

The location is quiet, just off of the lake with a large area out front if you bring a dog and want to exercise him near the cabin. There is a creek that runs down the boundary if they like to swim. It was only me on this trip so the cabin was very comfortable with all the amenities I needed.

Cozy and comfy

Everything you need is in this cute little vacation rental. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen generous, a full size washer and dryer convenient. The property is walkable with soft green grasses, rolling hills and a small stream. It's a short short drive around a winding country road to beautiful Lake Glenville. Sweet.

Cozy, clean & eclectic

What a fun cozy getaway! Close to lot's of hiking trails and beautifulwaterfalls, 20 minutes to Highlands. The owner has decorated these rentals to make it absolutely cozy. Kitchen is stcked extremely well, everything that's needed in the place. It's a home away from home, with a touch of mountain cabin, mixed in with an eclectic collection of interesting gadgets. We had the best time!

Adorable, comfortable, it has everything you need!

What a wonderful place to stay! So many details in this super comfortable little apartment make it very homey, and she has thought of everything you could need. The bed is large and very comfy, kitchen well stocked, tv has a wide selection of channels, and Christine even came and let my dogs out while I was at a wedding! Above and beyond :). Oh, and the hot tub is, well, fabulous. It's in a wonderful location, with lots to do and explore - I can highly recommend this rental for anytime you are in the area!

Pleasant

It was a nice peaceful stay. The weather was pleasant. And the bed was comfortable, which is one of our priorities. Upon our arrival there seemed to be quite a few lights to turn off at bed time. And some were a bit tricky to find the switch. We would have preferred not quite so many light switches. But overall, it was a nice stay. We will keep this place in mind, if we are ever in the area again.

Cozy Cabin

This place was a delight to stay at for our short weekend get-away. After a day of activities, we returned each evening to enjoy the hot-tub & then retreating for the remainder of the evening inside the uniquely decorated cabin. The bed and pillows were so comfortable we slept like babies. Kitchen was supplied with anything you needed to prepare a meal or snack. Speaking of snacks, the hosts even had a tray full of snacks to enjoy. Ah outdoor grill and picnic table was also available for us to use. We visited some nearby waterfalls and quaint small towns nearby. This place felt like it was ours alone. The Primes were so accommodating and easy to work with. We highly recommend a stay here and would do it again should we come by the area again!!

A perfect holiday in the mountains

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful property over Thanksgiving. We really enjoyed our stay. We travel quite a bit and we typically stay in vacation rentals vs. hotels and this was one of our best experiences. Christina was such a sweet hostess and is there whenever you need her. She made us feel so welcomed and right at home. The cedar villas itself was super clean and so spacious. We loved everything about the villa. The king size bed was super comfy and we both slept so good. The villa is close to shops, restaurants and hiking. It is really in a perfect location. My husband and I plan on coming back here for a future mountain getaway. If you are looking for a place to stay in the mountains, this is the place to stay. Thanks Chritina for everything!

Kind and Caring

Chris is one of the most accommodating, kind, caring, and thoughtful hosts I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. The bed was very comfortable for me and I had a good night sleep. The hot tub is always well kept and they make sure to clean it and check the chemicals. When you walk down the driveway there is a lovely little creek that has some little fish, our pup had the best time playing in it. If you’re thinking about booking this stay do yourself a favor and do it. You won’t regret the choice. The hospitality and location makes for the perfect vacation. Also Chris is really awesome about helping with suggestions on where to go and nature stuff with waterfalls and hikes.

Fantastic experience

We were blown away by how large the place was. Bedroom was very comfortable and had a flat screen. Kitchen had every amenity you might need. Great lighting throughout the entire unit. Used the charcoal grill and got in the large whirlpool (with colored lighting!) our first night. Fire pit in front yard was awesome. Thanks for the starter wood and logs. Really enjoyed seeing all the stars...have never seen so many. And saw three shooting stars. Place was decorated with all kinds of cool antiques and western paraphanalia...so much to look at! Chrisine was very hospitable and helpful. We will be back, for sure.

can't wait to come back!

Exactly what we were looking for and more! We loved it. We had a wonderful Valentines weekend here and our dog Dexter loved it as well. The cabin is in a small community of a small city up in the mountains, and yes it is located in real mountains, not hills. It takes about 10 minutes to get to the nearest supermarket which was perfect for our get away from city life. Easy to find, lots of privacy and Chrissy's hospitality was above and beyond. We felt more like house guests (with or own place) than customers. The way she decorated was adorable and made us feel cozy in bear country. Everything we needed or wanted was there. Fire wood, board games, kitchen appliances, comfy beds, extra blankets, washer dryer, etc. Thanks Chrissy! Let us know when you're in Fort Laud, you can be our house guest anytime!

wonderful getaway!

My husband and I spent the 4th of July in the enchanting Cricket's Den. Although we had seen pictures on the internet, we were still surprised to see the spacious, well-stocked accommodations. The decor is fascinating and fun! So thoughtful to have little touches like microwave popcorn for a late-night snack and a dryer sheet in case we did laundry. Most important to me, this place was CLEAN. With the growing reports of bedbugs, I can hardly stay in a hotel anymore. No worries of that at this place! The rate was competitive with every other accommodation we checked and Christine and her husband could not have been more gracious, inviting, and friendly. Our only regret? We did not have time to try out the hot tub!

Spacious, well-kept, both inside and out!

My girlfriend and I gave this cozy house a visit during our spring break, and we cannot say enough great things about it! It was quiet, peaceful, ADORABLE (the southwestern theme of the place was awesome). The rustic look of all the property is very well done, and even though there are a few properties in vicinity of each other, the place feels very secluded and private. The hot tub under the stars was great, especially contrasting the chilly mountain air, and the area of the house, bathroom, and kitchen juxtaposed cozy and spacious.. The Primes were as nice as can be - nicer, even - and saw to it that all of our needs were met in the friendliest of manners. Christine asked if we had an affinity for hiking and within minutes had a list of hiking trails, waterfalls, and sights to see, some of which were well-known and popular, and others that had been routed in the backwoods by her son. The amount of care and hospitality the Primes provide left us not only satisfied and content, but dying to go back, and at the prices they offer, this will be sooner, rather than later.

Best place to stay in the Area!

The Primes where the ultimate host and their place is the perfect spot to enjoy Glenville and all the other surrounding areas! Rather it's enjoying Lake Glenn, hiking the trails, climbing mountains or chasing waterfalls, you're only just a few minutes from all that! This place is the perfect spot to enjoy peace and quite. The Primes were super helpful in anything you might need with quick response. The place comes fully loaded with all the essentials you need to enjoy your stay in the mountains. Plus the personal private hot tub was great to enjoy every night after been outside enjoying the outdoors. This place is the best placed I've stayed so far in the mountains. Cheaper than a hotel and you have everything you need, even a washer and dryer! Beed was super comfortable and great to also have WiFi. I defiantly will be staying here again for my next trip there and you should to!

Weekend vacation

We loved our stay at Cricket Den. Christen was So friendly and eager to please!! She was very helpful when we had questions and was quick to respond back when I texted her. The honeymooners were gone for the day so she allowed us to go over to their cabin to see the beautiful water fall. The hot tub at our den was great also. It was raining so I slid the umbrella over from the table and had shelter from the rain while enjoying the hot tub. The Randevu restaurant in Cashiers was so good. We ate breakfast and lunch there beside the fireplace. We rode to the highlands for a day but we like cashiers better. Less crowded. Cashiers has a nice park too especially if you have a dog. Ingles is close by and it has everything you need. Christen told me about some shops and enjoyed visiting them also. Everything was wonderful. We can wait to go back!!
