Cottage next to Holland State Park in Holland

Charming two story cottage located on a quiet street adjacent to Holland State Park, just a hop, skip and a jump from the General Store, bike paths, Ottawa Beach...and of course..."Big Red" Lighthouse. This historic cottage has just been totally redecorated and newly furnished. You only need to bring your linens and towels. Lots of cottage charm, super clean, and can sleeps 6 comfortably. The bedrooms consist of a master bedroom with a queen size bed, and two twin beds in both of the remaining two bedrooms. On the first floor is a large family room, kitchen, half bath with the laundry room. and a screen in front porch. The second floor has a full bath room and the three bedrooms. Outside is a private & shaded back yard with a furnished deck, lots of flowers, bar-b-que grill, and an enclosed side shed.
Cottage rental deposits & final payment can be made securely by using Paypal, credit cards, and bank payments.
Note: This cottage is located next door to our other cottage rental. This makes it enjoyable for large families or friends to vacation together.
Note: A cleaning fee of $95 will be a charged per rental period.

Holland Cottage
Very comfortable cottage including the beds which sometimes aren't quite so. These were lovely as was the living room furniture. Located in a charming cottage community just a short walk from the entrance to the state park beach. About 15 minutes to downtown Holland and other attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. And so did our pup!

Beach Cottage Bliss
Craig’s beach cottage could not have been in a more perfect location for enjoying the lake life. Having three kids 5 and under made the ability to walk everywhere a huge plus for us, after a slow morning enjoying the kitchen's cute breakfast nook we could stroll down to the beach, then back for lunch and rest time, then a one minute stroll to the famous General Store for fantastic ice cream, and back to the beach again for the most beautiful sunset. Plenty comfortable accommodation, and amenities. We were very sad to leave and would return in a heartbeat.

Location is amazing! Short walk to the beach and general store/ice cream shop. Neighbors are friendly and helpful. The place is exactly as listed and was very cozy and welcoming. We really enjoyed this place and would definitely return again.

This was our first visit to holland. The cottage was in a great location to easily walk to the beach and to several places to eat and have ice cream. We would definitely stay here again. It is not a party house it is a quiet neighborhood so do not expect otherwise.

We loved our time at the cottage! It is a fantastic location and very close to the beach on Lake Michigan. It was relaxing spending time on the back deck and we enjoyed eating meals in the screened-in front porch. We plan to return!

Great getaway
Amenities were perfect (washer/dryer, dishwasher, central AC. Living areas plentiful. Deck for grilling. Comfortable beds. Very short walk to the famous General Store and the greatest selection of ice cream ever. Ten minute walk to swim, relax, read, build sandcastles and view beautiful sunsets on magnificent Lake Michigan. Owner very easy to work with and gave prompt replies. Very sad to leave at the end of our stay.

Perfect accomodation in a gorgeous location. Great to explore downtown Holland and local area. Nelis dutch village was fun. Pirates landing and Captain sundaes perfect for family fun. Tunnel Beach was stunning at sunset!

Amazing stay at the lake!
The house is charming and recently had central AC installed. Plenty of room for 2 adults, 2 teens and a dog. Craig was incredibly responsive and helpful. Dune Dogz, the Mt. Pisgah boardwalk, and the general store are all steps away. We loved it!

Cottage was a great location for a family wedding in Zeeland. Walking distance to the beach (and ice cream), boardwalk, boat docks and historic cottages. Nice size kitchen and washer and dryer was a bonus.

Cute cottage
It’s a cute cottage. We didn’t spend much time there as we were at family functions during our trip. The cottage has everything we needed while we were there. We will definitely stay here again if we need to while in the area. Easy walk to the beach!

Weekend getaway to Tulip Time Festival
Overall was very pleased with the property. Owner was very nice and clarified questions ahead of arriving. Has an old beach cottage feel with creaky floors but lead to more laughs than we’ve had in a long time, leading to a very enjoyable weekend. Highly recommend for many reasons but especially because it is a 10min walk from Ottawa Beach (crazy traffic otherwise on the weekends)

Great Location | Older Home
The cottage was in a great location. It was a quick walk to the Ottawa Beach State Park and Mt Pisgah trail. The house was cottage style so some age related issues were expected. Kitchen was updated and mostly well equipped (we had to supply a few things that are usually provided when renting a home). We enjoyed the deck and spacious table with umbrella and the front screened porch. The property could have been cleaner and better presented. We could have also asked for the property to be recleaned when we realized that it was not up to our standards of cleanliness; the owner lives nearby and I assume would have responded quickly, if asked. COVID has made us all more aware that cleanliness is important for peace of mind.

Excellent stay
House was very clean and comfortable, pictured were very accurate, it was well equipped, close to attractions. Our host was very friendly and accommodating. We would certainly go there again. And it was dog friendly.

Relaxing getaway
We just arrived home from our 5 night stay at Craig’s cottage and we were sad to leave this morning! The house is adorable yet spacious, with all the amenities needed for a fun beach vacation (including a smart TV with Fire Stick that my kids appreciated the one day we got rain). We really enjoyed the proximity to Ottawa Beach, the general store, Dune Dogz, Playa, Lolo’s, and Mt. Pisgah. Being able to walk to the beach was the best part. The line to drive in looked like it was upward of 30-45 min on the weekend. A short drive to downtown Holland, and we also spent a day at Michigan’s Adventure. We loved including our dog on vacation, and super appreciated the beach toys on site as we forgot ours at home. One night we got locked out and Craig was super easy to get ahold of to resolve the issue. Overall a truly memorable Michigan trip and hopefully we can return someday soon!

Perfect Location to Enjoy Holland's Charms
Couldn't have picked a better house for cooking and enjoying dinner on the screened porch, walking to ice cream each night, and kayaking on Lake Macatawa. We lucked out and had breezy evenings that cooled the bedrooms down perfectly at night. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful week in Holland
Holland is our favorite place to visit in the summer. We had a lovely week in the cottage. Wonderful location, adorable clean cottage, comfortable beds and enjoyed eating outside on the deck in the back. Craig was very responsive as a host. There were some unseasonably hot days but we made it work.

Great location for beach
My husband and two kids stayed for two nights. Location is fantastic for Ottawa Beach and everything around Holland! House was great and just as described. I would note it may not be suitable for very young children. The bathroom upstairs is directly next to the stairwell. If someone were to turn left when leaving the bathroom they would fall down the stairs. Hence we did not feel comfortable letting our 5 year old use the bathroom in the middle of the night on her own. Stairs felt steep too, so did not let 5 year old or 2.5 year old come down stairs without us being there. Otherwise, fine for adults.

Cozy Cottage
The pictures very accurately depicted this property. The kitchen was clean and had everything we needed. The bedroom we slept in had a comfortable bed. We enjoyed the bike path on Ottawa Beach Road as well as the close proximity to Holland State Park. The front screened porch was a great place to view small wildlife. Craig was an excellent communicator. The only thing I would recommend is to ask renters to leave the washing machine open, so it does not develop a funky smell. We had a lovely stay!

Great Stay! Amazing Location!
Craig has an awesome location off a relaxing and quiet road right in the heart of the Ottawa Beach area. House is perfect for a family vacation with crazy close walking distance to the general store for morning coffee or nightly ice cream as well as walk or bike distance to the beach! Craig couldn’t be more accommodating and easy to work with. Screened in front porch was the best every morning and evening. Despite some very nosy curmudgeon neighbors who sadly are just old, crotchety and angry about sharing their beautiful neighborhood to non-residents, this was an awesome stay for us. We hope Craig and the other short term rental setup homes in this area succeed in being able to rent to good families for years to come. More people and their families need to experience this quiet and relaxing town :) We will be back.
