Funky Beach Place with Mix of 50's and High Tech! Ocean Village Club B-33

What makes folks stop and look at your condo? Don't really know but here goes! If you want to feel like you are at the beach, our condo will do it for you with all white tile, white canvas furniture, 50's and 60's retro lamps, radios and pink malted machine. You can rent beach bikes which are great for riding on the beach, to Starbucks and around town.

Great price so you have money left over to eat out and do other things like kayaking, visit downtown St. Augustine, or the lighthouse. Think about saving a couple of hundred and how you would spend it. All the while this condo is located in the best condo complex on the beach!

Everything you need is there including 2 HDTV's, fiber optics,wifi, free long distance in USA and Canada, washer/dryer, beach chairs, cooler, fully equipped kitchen etc. This brings all the comforts of home right to you.

The brand new mattress provides a good nights sleep from a fun day at the beach. The new couch allows you to comfortably watch movies at night or sit around the living room to play games.

Corner unit so lots of natural light. This bright and fresh beach design really puts you in the vacation spirit on or off the beach.

Have on site 24/7 guest support so any issues can be quickly addressed.

Condo is quite old
This is a corner unit facing A1A It is on the 3rd floor You have to walk up 30 steps and carry your luggage and cooler up the steps. The beach access is clear across the other side of the complex So it is a walk. The condo furniture is very uncomfortable The living room furniture is wicker with worn out cushions The bed pillows are worn out and old so bring your own The front door is very drafty and rickety. The complex is clean and very dog friendly If the owner would update the furniture this would be a good place to stay The location is convenient to the historical downtown area it was cold and windy while we were there so we did not use the beach. The complex is quiet .

Check in was simple, residents were super friendly, lots of dog owners, nice and safe to walk, easy to get to the beach. Easy to get to St Augustine downtown. Close to amenities. Just what we needed for a quiet long weekend.

Great location for visiting st Augustine Complex is well maintained-pool , grounds are spotless Key code access given before check in was incorrect- a bit of a hassle-I had to contact the owner as the backup plan didn’t work either Had an issue with the ac, it was promptly taken care of Condo is outdated but was clean, bed was comfy It is a bit of a distance to walk to the private beach Balcony overlooked A1a Quite noisy with the traffic 3rd floor-a lot of stairs -got my exercise in walking the dog All in all it was a good stay and value Kitchen well equipped I would return!

Great vacation
The property was just as described and pictured. Check-in was a breeze. There wasn't anything wrong or that we needed help with, so i cannot comment on service during our stay. Check out was also simple. Our host gave us great recommendations on restaurants etc. that was a great help. And the unit was close to the heated pool, which we throughly enjoyed. We'd book again.

It took us over an hour to get inside the condo. The area (St. Augustine) was wonderful. We just made the best on the condo arrangement. Luckily, we did not spend much time inside.

Super cute!
Easy late check in. Cute decor with attention to detail. Temperature was nice and cool. The bed was comfy. Close to the ocean. The owners shared a list of things to do and good restaurants which was so thoughtful! Definitely would stay again.

Perfect location!
This condo was perfect - close to the beach and just 15 minutes from the beautiful historic downtown. Tons of restaurants to choose from. Beach and so many restaurants dog friendly. We drove and brought our bikes. You can bike for miles on the beach. The only recommendation I have is the bathroom needs a new mirror- you can’t really see in it. Blinds are missing panels so light would come in bedroom. We just moved the blue wall panel from living room. Bed was very comfortable! We will be back!

Great location
We wanted a location close to beach but also between Jacksonville and Daytona Beach, since we were touring colleges in these two areas. This was it. The Ocean Village community was great. Visitors and residents are kind and happy to share and discuss their dogs. The apartment was a bit small—which is perfect for a couple or even with small children but a bit tight for this mom and teenage son. We were able to get privacy, though, with the two rooms and roll away. There is a 5 min easy walk to beach and two pools (one was closed but was no problem as it wasn’t crowded). Also there are tennis courts. The only downside was noted by another review that this building lies in the front of the complex, facing A1A. Sitting on the balcony was very loud with traffic noise (although I did it). Windows had to be closed for noise but the glass was thick and kept apt quiet. Also air conditioning was good. Big bonus was Kookabara coffee shop directly across the street. Great coffee and customer service! We also recommend Beachcomber which is right on the beach (5 min by car).

Pros: Location, Price. TV'S were up to date and the bed was good,, complex was nice, lots of amenities. Management company was great. Cons: Unit was good for a short stay, but not long term. Unit needs maintenance. Furniture was in need of replacement. Very uncomfortable. No usable mirror in bathroom. Tub refurbishing and drain was clogged. Front door lock was clumsy because of lock box. Wouldn't rent this unit, but would rent in the complex.

Good Times in St. Augustine
We enjoyed our stay at Butler Beach. It had great proximity to everything we wanted to do in St. Augustine, and the beach is a short walk away. The owner was caring and considerate, and was quick to respond to any requests.

We loved the location, able to walk to a few restaurants, walk to beach from the complex and a short drive to other beaches and restaurants. Kitchen had everything we needed. Owner had just installed new washer and dryer. Overall positive experience.

Suited our needs. There is a fee of $100 for one dog- once you have completed arrangements with VRBO, you get turned over to Coastal management who does check in. It was easy and everyone pleasant, however they wanted another $50 CASH ONLY for the dog. We didnt mind paying as we know there is condo upkeep on grounds and many dogs here. However, I would have appreciated knowing beforehand- at booking. For anybody on a budget, an extra $50 pop makes a difference. Otherwise, a good stay and value for a pet friendly condo.

We just love hunting for great mid century and shabby chic furniture and stuff to put into our house and the two condos we own at the beach. Each piece has a story which is great fun.The renovation side comes from watching too many episodes of HGTV house hunters.We live in a small town on a golf course about 40 miles from the beach and get over to the beach every chance we can. We really work hard to make sure folks have a good time at the beach.

Why they chose this property

We bought the unit after the property market collapse and volunteered with other owners to turn the Ocean Village Club from a tired old beach complex to the best on the beach and recipient of many awards, including condo complex of the year for 2014 for the entire state.Truly rewarding to see the result. Warm family friendly environment where people say hello when they pass you in the complex.

What makes this property unique

The condo is decorated with a funky taste that makes you feel like you are at the beach. You can rent bikes at the Club entrance which are great for beach riding, restaurant runs, errands etc.
