In the hills above Santa Barbara, this exclusive gated estate Rancho Vista De La Playa has stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, Channel Islands, and beautiful Mountain Side. Please go to our website to see the best pictures of the entire property. The main house on the estate has many amazing features that includes a beautiful grand entry, high ceilings in nearly every room, 3 fireplaces, a gourmet kitchen and generous-sized rooms leading to expansive outdoor living spaces.

Making your way up to the "Guest Villas" be ready to rejuvenate in the saltwater pool, and jacuzzi while listening to your Sonos surround sound system so crisp it's like having your own band in the backyard. For the golf lovers, there is a putting green located next to the "Guest Villas". Along with a large outside bar with a flat-screen T.V. 2 fire pits, horse shoe pit, ping pong table, and corn hole. Freestanding indoor/outdoor luxury bathroom with outdoor shower too! This is the perfect hideaway estate to enjoy privacy, for large groups who want separate residences on the property. The estate has 2 guest villas, Chestnut Villa sleeps 6, Luxury Villa sleeps 4, and there is 2 pool casitas that sleep 2 each.

The property is equipped and set up as a fully furnished property that includes bedspreads, linens, blankets, pillows, towels, pool towels, and a fully equipped kitchen. Paper products are supplied as well. Staples such as salt, pepper, foils, wraps, etc. are also included. All bathrooms are stocked with soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and make-up wipes.

The estate is only rented to one party at a time so you're never sharing your space with other guests. Daily Housekeeping and Heated Pool NOT INCLUDED please ask for pricing.

Great House!

We rented both the main house and the villas for our family and wedding party for our wedding weekend. The house is huge and was perfect for our stay. Michelle and Eddie were very helpful throughout the check in process and were quick to respond if we had any questions. The beds were very comfy, great pool and hot tub, and the views from the main house are spectacular! Great house for a large party. Would highly recommend staying here!

house was very comfortable and perfect for our group of 10

We did our annual board retreat at this home. we had 10 people and everyone had their own bedroom. We had a chef come in one night and the kitchen was perfect for the preparation. Their was plenty of space for our meetings and dinner. The pool and hot tub were nice amenities as well. I would highly recommend this house!

Charming Property Excellent for Any Stay!!!!

Our company had a retreat at this gorgeous property! Michelle is fantastic! Upon arrival we were personally greeted by her and her staff. They gave us a complete tour of the property. The beautiful pictures match the estate in real life! We had 20 people in our retreat. Every single person loved the property and being such a huge estate we had multiple team building exercises in different parts of the property. On the last 2 days we had a catered event, a wonderful mariachi, spas services & so much more! We love it so much, we are returning soon! We completely recommend this property to any size event!

Beautiful Property!

Beyond Excellent

For a long time my wife and I wanted to bring our relatives from Ohio to get a taste of California life. Problem was, our modest mid-century ranch home would not even begin to accommodate even a small percentage of them when we considered the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. And so we searched and searched until we found the perfect location in Santa Barbara.... Rancho Vista De La Playa. Our gathering numbered about 30 people some of whom traveled from places further away than Ohio like South Carolina and even Belize. Our ages ranged from 3 months to 93 years. There was absolutely something for everyone here. Whether one wanted to swim in the salt water pool, relax in the hot tub or kick back in the pergola and read a book, this was a terrific venue for us. There is even a putting green. Nearby there are many fine restaurants and shops as well as the necessary grocery stores and filling stations. The property is laid out really well with the pool up by the guest houses and the main house is positioned so that it takes advantage of the sea breezes that make sitting outside so much more comfortable as well as allowing the temperature inside the home to be naturally more comfortable. The grounds are impeccably maintained. Michelle is very helpful in preparing you for your stay and making sure that everything is perfect when you arrive. Eddie is a very gracious host and very responsive when needs arise. Buddy, the dog, is a great ambassador. The artwork in the main house deserves your attention as it includes many items that you may never see anywhere else, and as you browse if you are not careful you just might learn a few things. My personal favorite has to be Eddie's guitar collection which is beautifully displayed. The kitchen in the main house is spacious and well equipped. There are very nice outdoor grills on the patio as well. I had to really think hard to find something to comment on that could be improved upon. The only thing I could come up with is that the water pressure at times was a bit low in the main house, not in the guest cabins though. The pictures of the property really don't begin to capture the beauty of this estate. When you arrive you are literally transported to another realm. I highly recommend this ranch to anyone who is looking for a nice, relaxing vacation with all the conveniences you might want, close to town, yet secluded enough, and large enough for a big family gathering.

A weekend with Friends that was Peeerfection!!!!

My husband and I organized a weekend with our oldest friends and are so happy that we rented Eddie's estate. The location is perfection! While you are on the actual property you feel like you are the only people in the world but in actuality you are about 3 miles from restaurants and even less from stores and gas stations. Michelle and Eddie were so incredibly easy to work with - they were very responsive. Eddie stays on the property during the weekend, which I preferred. He left us to ourselves, but it was really helpful to have him close by when we needed something or had a question. Eddie recommended an amazing pizza guy that brought a pizza oven right to the house. 99% of the weekend took place in the pool. It's big and saltwater, and we loved it! I wouldn't have changed a thing! We did need to be conscious of the noise after 10 PM. We were still able to have a good time, but we had to be considerate of the neighbors at the bottom of the valley as sound travels. So music at the pool had to be turned down around 10 PM on the evenings. Michelle and Eddie answered any questions we had immediately and were so helpful. We had people staying off property and Michelle recommended a PERFECT hotel that was close, affordable and adorable. Ahhhh what a weekend.

Santa Barbara Estate - perfect for family reunions - Dorothy S.

We reserved this beautiful estate for a family reunion over the Thanksgiving holiday. We couldn't have been more pleased. We ranged in age from two years to eighty five. Everyone was comfortable, the children had ample play areas, the views were spectacular. The adults enjoyed all the amenities, and felt like we were in a hideaway but were able to be in Santa Barbara in fifteen minutes. Our hosts, Eddie and Michelle, were always available and tended to our every need. I whole heartedly recommend this beautiful home for any gathering.

Beautiful Views in Santa Barbara

Our group had a wonderful time at the Villa. Eddie was a great host, and both he and Michelle were quick to accommodate any requests that we had. The property is stunning and has lots of great amenities to go with the views. I would definitely stay here again.

AMAZING....THAT'S ALL I CAN SAY.....AMAZING

EDDIE AND MICHELLE ARE THE BEST....DON'T MISS OUT.......WE ARE COMING BACK AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR. BEAUTIFUL VIEWS.....IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE IN SANTA BARBARA YOU MUST STAY HERE....THERE IS NO HOTEL OR HOUSE THAT WILL COMPARE!!!!!

Born in Santa Barbara and raised in Santa Ynez, California it was expected that Michelle Duckett would follow in her parents' footsteps and take over one of the many the family businesses in automotive, real estate management, and development. However, her passion for animals in the tender years of her childhood, particularly horses, guided her down her own path. Michelle studied with anyone and everyone she possibly could to polish, sharpen, and craft her passion. She has studied and ridden just about every discipline from jumpers, Polo, Rodeo, and Cutting Horses.
However, her business and entrepreneurial spirit proved to be just as strong as her love of animals. At the young age of 8, Michelle began buying, training, and selling horses with her father. At 19, Michelle started working in the Automotive Business, which later led to running full spectrum trade show road crews teams. After years of travel, she decided to stay a bit more local, accepting a role as a Los Angeles-based Medium Duty Freightliner Dealership. Michelle became a prominent figure in the truck business, not to mention one of the only women in the industry.
In 2014, a longtime family friend came to Michelle asking her to take over his vacation rental estate. The offer was intriguing, as she had knowledge and interest in rentals and real estate from her family businesses. Michelle quickly dove head first into learning this exciting and growing industry - from adverting, housekeeping, chefs, screening guests, down to thread count. She launched the business in May of 2015, and it was an immediate success.
