This charming, gated property is located on a secluded, quiet cul de sac on a 1/2 acre estate. Enjoy a private, park like setting with mature trees and an abundance of singing birds. During your stay in the detached Casita, you will enjoy three distinct outdoor sitting areas to eat your meals, practice yoga, view spectacular sunsets or just relax and unwind in the beautiful poolside area. The Casita is for the solo traveler seeking a peaceful, safe and quiet retreat or the couple looking for a romantic get away. Due to insurance liabilities, I am only able to accommodate adult guests. The Casita is being cleaned and disenfected according to the highest CDC standards and guildlines from VRBO.

Incredible vacation
Found absolute paradise with Deborah at her beautiful home. It was so wonderful to spend time at her beautiful property. She has a wonderful outdoor area with a deck we ate dinner at one night and the home itself was perfect. She has thought of every creature comfort and we did not want for anything at the home. I would stay here again and again. Absolutely loved the experience and can't wait until the next time!

Best short vacation ever!
We were so happy to be guests at Deborah’s Casita. It was clean, beautifully decorated, and so comfortable. We were so appreciative of the coffee even with fresh cream to wake up to every morning. There was nothing that Deborah missed as far as making our stay wonderful.

Honeymoon Casita
Our stay here was comfortable! This place has all you need, and the bed is very comfortable. The casita felt larger than I expected, and is so adorable. Deborah was a very sweet hostess and gave us space. There's an incredible amount of plants (succulents and various trees) around the casita which was enjoyable. I recommend having breakfast or dinner one the deck overviewing the area. Deborah's dinning recommendations (find them in the welcome pack) were good, especially Gaetano's Italian place: it's delicious and cheap Italian comfort food. I recommend opening windows in the evenings or when it's cooler outside. Getting to know Deborah whenever we wanted was vey nice. We even have some "souvenirs" that will hopefully flourish and last. Thanks Deborah!!

Great Vacation
Thank you Deborah for being a part of helping make our vacation a great experience. You are so welcoming and your casita is perfect for a couple. Loved visiting Mt. Helix and use of the private pool. We certainly recommend your place to those that are looking for an economical, private vacation, yet close enough to the city, attractions and beaches for plenty of activities.

Relaxing Casista
Beautiful Casista, just as described. We had a wonderful experience with Deborah and Lucky. Bed was very comfortable, loved she used all natural cleaners and she even had organic coffee and some protein bars for us! Pool was wonderful and relaxing. Deborah was a perfect host, quick to respond and attentive to anything we needed. Definitely will stay again when we are in the San Diego area!

If your looking for a tropical get away. With privacy and cleanliness this is the spot to be.
When we arrived to Deborah’s Casita. We thought we had died and gone to heaven. The pictures don’t show all the beautiful surroundings. Truly a remarkable peaceful setting on-a dead end road. The cleanliness of the Casita and it’s surrounding s , 5 Star ! Deborah and her mascot Lucky made us feel so very welcomed. Deborah and Lucky, we can’t thank you enough for your warm hospitality. A Beautiful Oasis!
Deborah was the perfect hostess, and her Casita is like a little oasis to rest and relax while visiting our son in San Diego. She is so kind, thoughtful and responsive. — Our stay with her reminds us of our getaway inn in Carmel-By-the-Sea. So beautiful, restful and peaceful. Hubby really enjoyed the pool! WE stayed at this Casita just 15 minutes away from home, but it felt like we were far far away. The place was awesome with a private pool for the 2 of us, a beautiful bed to relax in, and beautiful scenery on the property. The hostess was exceptionally accommodating for our needs as well. Can't wait to go again soon.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS CASITA!
This a FANTASTIC little getaway location! The house is so lovely and quaint! It was equipped with everything we would need! Deborah even provided a baggie with face masks and disinfecting wipes! Oh, and Deborah is AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING! She had a small welcome sign for me and my sister, along with fruit bars! She even went out of her way to have a binder with all her favorite take-out restaurants and San Diego must-see brochures. Her pool is fantastic! Water is so clean and cool! We were able to use it night and day! Deborah was super friendly, nice, and attentive. She kept in contact with us, and always replied quickly to any questions we had. She is a WONDERFUL host; and her dog Lucky is a great co-host! We were here for 10 days, and man oh man did we not want to leave! We will definitely stay here when we come to San Diego again!

My wife and I traveled all the way from Sacramento and this place was worth the drive, with a beautiful view, amazing pool, and one of The best kept places I've been in. I'd say it was worth the drive. The room is well furnished with everything you could need, in case you forgot something. Quite, but still close to the city. And the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. It was just the place we were looking for. The owner is friendly and has the cutest little dog. All in all We will be returning.

Beautiful hideaway in the city.
The property is beautiful, perfect landscaping, and a wonderful pool. There are several different outdoor seating areas to relax in. A little getaway spot right in the city. The casita was spotless, comfortable, and the owner thought of everything we might need. She even had a beach umbrella we borrowed. We had a very relaxing vacation here, and would definitely return. It is perfect for a couple or single traveler.

Perfect getaway!
Deborah’s Place was exactly what we were looking for! We enjoyed our stay and Deborah was super sweet! We enjoyed leaving windows open at night to hear the crickets and the birds in the morning! It was a little cool for the pool, but it was beautiful and a nice place to chill out!

Nice Cosita. Stayed about 8 days with my wife. Deborah was very accommodating and helpful in every way. She left fruit and water out for her guests which was both unexpected and a nice gesture. Overall a nice trip!

Deborah's casita and property are wonderfully relaxing. I especially liked the comfortable bed, the windows that opened up to beautiful views, the birdsong, and the bathroom design making great use of light and space, and the tile work. I didn't know this ahead of time but appreciated that all of the bath & cleaning products are plant-based. The space had a clean, refreshing feel. Now for Deborah--a warm, gracious lady with a real knack for remembering names. The organic fruit, snacks, coffee and other food items provided were a really nice treat. I will be back!

Serene and quiet
What a great find! This is such a quiet little spot at the end of a dead-end street, in an otherwise bustling area. The grounds are so very well kept, cozy, the accommodations are very comfortable and clean. Deborah is a terrific host and has great suggestions for exploring the area. Close to good restaurants, shops, downtown San Diego, the desert, state parks, hiking, and other exploring. We can't wait to come back!

I am a Spring Valley native and I have loved living here for the past 35 years. I started the vacation rental business from 2012 - 2013 I really enjoyed meeting new people and sharing my beautiful oasis with my guests. I ended up doing a long term rental to a young professional for several years which gave me the opportunity to further my horticulteral education and volunteer pursuits. I am excited to be in a position to welcome vacationing guests back to the Casita.

Why they chose this property

My family fell in love with this peaceful, gated, secure and private property over 35 years ago. The beautiful pool area with all the trees provide privacy from neighbors and the outside world. The gated 1/2 acre estate is a sanctuary for birds and people who really want to feel relaxed and at peace within the beautiful surroundings.

What makes this property unique

As a guest in the Casita you will enjoy exclusive use of the pool and the surrounding gardens in complete privacy. I am ususally busy inside my own home, or out spending time with my grandchildren, gardening in the backyard or away doing volunteer work. I want my guests to feel completely at home and to be able to enjoy all the aspects of their stay on this secluded property.
