This spacious single story villa 1700 square feet, is the ideal base for families and golfing enthusiasts who want to make the most of their Florida vacation in comfort and security. The Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club has its own facilities and there are restaurants and easy shopping a short walk away. Just added TopTracer Bays along with outdoor dining . There are literally dozens of fine restaurants within 20 minutes of our Villa, from Italian to French, American to Italian to Japanese to Australian, a Special treat is Mannys Chop House just around the corner ( you can walk there and back , they have just added an addition!! 4p.m. to 7 p.m. is 2 for 1 drinks and a special menu from 4-6pm). The Golden Coral have two restaurants within 20 minutes, always good value for your money. Sonny's BBQ is very close by.

Nice stay

We stayed for 17 nights in January. Southern Dunes is a very nice community to stay, the golf course is very well maintained and beautiful. The house was spacious with some upgrades. We appreciated the spaciousness of the pool deck. The kitchen is well stocked with many small appliances. Was nice to have a gas grill available for use. The keypad on the door stopped working, maintenance was dispatched and replaced batteries but that did not resolve the issue so they gave us a key. It was a little unsettling not knowing who else had a key. One of the produce drawers in the refrigerator was inoperable and there was nothing they could do to remedy. No window in living area, dark furniture, dated dark shag carpet in bedrooms all make a dreary environment. This home is fine for a short 1 week stay.

The home was nice. The hot tub was broke. The house was well equipped with everything you need and the BBQ grill was replaced and then worked great! The pool was nice and warm! They need a new couch & chair both really saggy and uncomfortable.

Great villa and location

Had a great 3 week stay at this lovely villa. Very spacious and clean. Southern Dunes is one of our favourite places to stay and in a great location for nearby eating/shopping and fairly close to parks (though I would recommend using 192 as I4 was constantly slow moving!) 10/10 or 5 stars!

We’ve stayed on Southern Dunes several times and it’s a great place. First time staying in this villa and it had everything we could ask for. Great location

We were visiting to check out central FL as we may possibly be moving there. This home is in the perfect location! It’s 20-30 mins to Disney, 30-40 to Lakeland, 1.5 to Daytona, 2 to Crystal River. It was very easy to get to everything we wanted to see. When you leave the development there is a Walmart right there. It is in a gated community which is an added plus. The home itself is situated towards the back of the community on a super quiet street. The villa is large and well decorated. The pool and hot tub were very nice as well as the games in the garage. Unfortunately for us the heat index was 100+ so we didn’t spend much time outside but the whole lanai/garage was set up very well. The heat also caused the villa to be hot during the day but that was just the luck of the draw visiting FL in August. The check out instructions where some of the easiest I’ve seen which is a plus when you’re running around making sure everything is packed and neat. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this villa.

Lovely Florida Villa Rental

If you are thinking of renting a Villa for your stay in Florida look no further than this not so little gem. From booking through to arriving and even afterwards the Host was always willing to answer any queries we had. The Villa is located in a quiet gated community and we never heard any other neighbours. All facilities within the Villa are top notch, especially the lovely Pool area. 10/10.

GREAT CHRISTMAS/NEW YEARS VACATION

THE OVERALL STAY I CAN SAY WE ENJOYED OURSELVES. WE STARTED OFF ROCKY BECAUSE OF THE FACT THAT IT WAS COLD FOR THE FIRST COUPLE OF DAYS. WHAT HAPPENED WAS THAT THE HEAT PUMP SYSTEM WAS MALFUNCTIONING IN WHICH WAS BLOWING OUT COLD AIR INSTEAD OF HEAT. WE LET THE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT AND THE OWNER KNOW ABOUT THISAND SINCE IT WAS THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS, IT WAS REPAIRED THE DAY AFTER CHRISTMAS. THE OWNER DID OFFER US SOME HEATERS TO USE IN THE MEANTIME. AFTER THE COLD FRONT MOVED AWAY AND THE WEATHER GOT BETTER, EVERYTHING ELSE WAS GREAT. THE PROPERTY WASGREAT WITH ALL THE AMENITIES AND RESTAURANTS AND STORES ARE RIGHT THERE. OVERALL, THIS WAS GREAT AND APPRECIATE THE STAY. WILL LOVE TO STAY AGAIN AT THIS PROPERTY.

I love Southern Dunes and this villa was fantastic. Views on to 17th hole, and with supermarkets and restaurants minutes drive away, it ticked the boxes. We hired the villa for 4 weeks and there was everything you needed for your stay. The villa was lovely decorated and felt homely. The management company were easy to deal with from booking to checking out. I have been to Orlando for many years and I felt this was the best. Location straight down H27 to I4 for parks.

Home was extremely hot!! But clean

The house was overall good! The main problem was the air!! Florida is to hot for the air to be set at 75 degrees!! The home needs a new air unit...we stayed 10 days in the home and the air conditioning was horrible. The master bedroom and the bathroom vents does not work. The amount of price for the home needs to be reduced if the homeowners refuses to fit it. We purchased a fan and was able to survive the home for 10 days with the fan...that should be!

Southern Dunes

Sun all day on the deck with a great outlook over the golf course. Two minutes to the clubhouse & to a large Walmart. A small number of restaurants nearby mainly ribs and burgers but with one Mexican restaurant within five minutes. Golf course was in great condition. Villa was tidy and well stocked for plates, cutlery etc with plenty of outside furniture around the pool. Screened area over the pool and seating area allows you to sit out at night without any bugs to worry about. All in all a nice property.

Relaxing week in this golf-side home

The home was exactly as pictured and was perfect for our stay in Haines City. Its location was perfect, just a few blocks from numerous restaurants and stores. The home was clean and welcoming and we especially enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub on the screened-in lanai, especially when we had a couple of cool days in the low 60s. We would return here in a heartbeat.

We are Coloradoans that love Florida sunshine! Our grandchildren love the home close to all the entertainment, with their own pool, learning to golf and making memories. So we understand the commitment to travel and want to make it as enjoyable for our guests as it is for us!

Why they chose this property

We reviewed homes in the Orlando area for a year and we wanted access to a Golf Community with all the amenities and that is highly rated and restaurants and shopping within walking distance. We wanted the security of the gated community that is manned 24 hours. The pool has a view of the 17th Fairway on a top rated golf course which is an awesome view especially with no rear neighbors.

What makes this property unique

Home is all one level - no stairs to carry luggage:) no neighbors on back or side of pool - very private. Close to Orlando entertainment but also 90 minutes to beaches - coastal or gulf.
