Loved it and will return
Suite Amour was a great place. Clean, quiet, and close to all amenities. We visited during the Christmas season enjoyed our stay and plan on returning in the summer.
Clean air. Cute and comfy cabin. Very comfortable bed. Nature all around but close to Qualicum Beach, Parksville and Coombs. Anything I needed, or any questions I had were taken care of quickly by the friendly hosts Judy and Mark.
Very quite area. One room cabin with everything needed. Close to Coombs and Qualicum Beach. 40 minute drive to Port Alberni (longer depending on the construction being done.) Could not connect to WIFI and no AC, (ceiling fan is wired to some lights, so if you leave the fan on there will be lights on) so ask for a portable fan if it is warm.

Though property was not an issue, it was the check in and missing amenity that was!
I have addressed my issues with the owner and awaiting response.
As we drove in we were dismayed with the owners property next to cabins. The one cabin we went in was decorated nicely as per website.
Did not stay as they were having a plumbing issue and did not know when it would be resolved. Had to stay in a hotel that had a fridge for the night as we had bought 200 dollars worth of groceries.
The space was small but lovely! All of the amenities you could want, from kitchen appliances to a comfy bed and nice little space to eat breakfast. The host was super responsive. She was really keen to ensure our comfort, and answered all of our questions quickly. The location is perfect for hiking and seeing the falls and hanging on the beach, plus we had an amazing dinner in town at the brewery just 15 minutes away.
She makes soaps and salts, which are incredible. However, if you are sensitive to aromatherapy, maybe send her a note.
We needed a place we could stay to access the central east coast of the Island, and over to Port Alberni. This cabin fit the bill. Located in a rural, farm community, the cabin was clean and comfortable with a friendly host.
We had a bit of a hiccup with a later than expected check-in, but It was only a minor inconvenience. Judy made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay! Thanks.
I chose the property as I wanted a retreat in the forest from a hectic period in my life. The property and host could not have been more perfect. The cottage is impeccably clean and well appointed, with well thought out amenities to make your stay feel like a home. It’s off the beaten path at the end of a road but shops are 10 minutes away by car so there’s no difficulty in getting the things that you might need. The resident dog and horse add to the country atmosphere.
The host ensured that I was comfortable and safe, especially during the destructive wind storm that knocked down a tree on the property. There are countless hiking trails, rivers and lakes to explore and definitely will appeal to those looking for an outdoor experience away from urban life. The host, the property and the surroundings will not disappoint.
I will definitely return again.
Everything about the cabin was great. Lovely spot, nice hostess. However, I was overcharged by Vrbo and have not yet been reimbursed in spite of the best efforts of the hostess and myself to correct the error. Vrbo, please correct this problem and reimburse me. Contact me please if you think I have incorrect information. Terry Germanson
Was the perfect place for a quiet getaway! Judy was more then accommodating and made sure to make me feel as comfortable as possible, will absolutely stay again!
Our second time staying in this cozy, quiet cottage. Cottage is quaint but had everything we need and is cozy and lovely.
We enjoyed the fire pit and lawn chairs even in the chilly November mornings.
Judy, the homeowner, was very warm and receptive as a host.
She was also very apologetic for our cottage not being ready on time due to new covid-19 regulations around sanitizing and disinfecting the premises. She more than made up for it with a gift of lavender to my wife as well as being very hospitable and accommodating.
The cottage itself was very clean, warm and cozy and has a hot plate and microwave as well as a small bar fridge for keeping any food there.
The bed was very comfortable and we slept like logs!
We also got to feed her horse some carrots, so memorable!
Thanks again to Judy for her efforts as well as for her warm hospitality.
Sincerely,
James and Lynn
The host was very accommodating showing us everything we needed to know about the place and what we could do around the area. The cabin itself was immaculately clean with a BBQ and fire pit in the backyard. If you are looking for a nice quiet getaway, this place is perfect. If you are looking for an exciting night life, this place is a little off to the side and may not be the right place for that.
Judy was an amazing hostess. The accommodation is very comfortable and has many conveniences. Judy shares her love of plants in her bath salts and this, with great linens gives the experience a spa like feel. A beautiful place to relax and unwind.
The suite was quaint but had everything we needed - even outdoor lap blankets were provided, perfect for enjoying the fire pit in the evening. It was very clean and comfortable - even the outdoor porch was free of bugs and any sign of them. Sitting on the porch for breakfast and coffee each morning watching the horse, cats, and deer by the barn was a highlight - so relaxing!
Thanks to Judy!!! We enjoyed staying in our lil cabin/cottage! So peaceful and Judy was so helpful and kind! We’ll definitely be back again! A lovely retreat for a couple!
We enjoyed staying in this pleasant and tranquil property.

Comfy, cozy!
I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into this tiny cabin for my 4 day stay. It was super comfy and cozy. I was looking forward to using the fire pit , however the rain had a different plan.
I travel with a small carry on so the robe and slippers that Judy dropped off were a welcome touch. No extra room in a carry on for a comfy robe.
Thanks so much for the stay , I look forward to returning!

About the host
Hosted by Judy Bombay
Hi my name is Judy and I am your host for your host for your stay here at Suite Amour. We have our home on the property which is a fenced off area separate from the two cottages / there is a private fence for your to have your own space but close enough so when you need anything we are simply a quick stroll down a wooden path. We respect your privacy and want you to feel like you are all on your own with a self contained private cottage and deck area, Should you find yourself needing anything as in coffee or tea or a missed ingredient just pop by and I am sure I have it at my home. I have a horse who loves a carrot and a visit so if you are liking to see the horse Kaley just please ask and at convenient time while you are staying I am happy to take a walk with you down to the barn and paddock to see her and on the way we have a fantastic large pond with my fish who come when they are called for feeding and you are welcome to watch them cruising around as its a magical place with all the wildlife that pond supports. We ask that you are taken down by myself or my husband Mark as horses can be unpredictable and she can be a bit shy. We also have an elderly dog who has always greeted our guests at some point but at 13 plus years her eye site and hearing is not as sharp but she loves a visit and a pet still from guests. As a precaution and to keep all of my very loved critters we ask should you wish to talk or ask anything please come to the front door and never open the gates . We do have an occasional escape which is never allowed so if you see Ruby wandering around in your space or anywhere outside her fully fenced back yard pleases alert us to her and as her hearing and site are a challenge we would very much appreciate letting us know asap She is a very much loved and precious family member to us and in her elderly years needs more care and attention to keep her safe . I appreciate and welcome my guests and look forward to having you stay!
Why they chose this property
We chose this spot for the privacy, mountain view, fresh clean drinking water and we are surrounded by tall trees and no thru road . There is also many wonderful walking trails across from my driveway and a beautiful view of Mt Arrowsmith.
What makes this property unique
This property is unique as we had once had a full running river right through this property. Its a geologists dream as we have Quartz all through the rocks that have been lifted from our property. The dirt is black and the minerals plus horse manute supplied daily from our horses over the years so its a gardeners paradise. We are the first home and property you encounter as you turn towards Ryan rd on Carson and looks like you are heading no where on a "No thru road " sign that makes you feel like a wrong turn has been sent to you by mistake but keep going as you pass a small community of older little homes that over the past 5 yrs has gone thru many changes with young families moving into the area and fixing up older trailers and homes to make them fresh and new and alive with the laughter of children and families enjoying the country life! Take a left of Hebert rd and head towards treed and forested looking dirty road but graded and fine to drive even motorcycles . As you follow the directions from the listing you will pass my yellow gate and barn so keep going and as you come up to the corner and turn onto Ryan you will see my Sign "Suite Amour" and after your journey you have arrived to your destination and will understand why we love it here !!! Never worry about parking on the street we have plenty of room for you and please try our water as it comes from our well crystal clear out of the Mt Arrowsmith that looms in the distant. 'Welcome to Suite Amour guest cottages!!' and prepare to relax and kick back .....
