Coastal Village Cottage on Damariscotta Lake- Custom Built One of a Kind Cottage
Newly constructed 4 season home built in the 1930's craftsman style, this little beauty allows for all modern conveniences, while affording its guests an authentic Maine lakeside vacation experience. A gently sloping lawn leads to the bank of 17 mile long, crystal clear Damariscotta Lake, yet is a short drive to the rocky shores of the Atlantic Ocean. A 16'x16' waterside deck overlooks the private deep water dock and swimming float-just steps away from the cottage. Two kayaks and one canoe are included with the rental that can be launched from the small sandy beach on the property. Exploring the islands and coves of this vast lake this way allows for an up close and personal look at the varied wildlife. Autumn is especially spectacular in the midcoast region. A few minute's drive to Route 1 brings you along the coast with some of the most breathtaking views in New England.
A large stone fireplace and in floor heat makes for a cozy winter retreat at Pine Cone Cottage. Snowmobiling on miles of trails is just outside the door. Ice fishing, cross country skiing and ice skating are just steps from the house!

Charming beyond charming. The spot, the way it was built, the decor!!!! It had everything I needed for a cozy early early Spring retreat. Helpful hosts and a great view!!!
Unique, cozy, clean property close to the town. Couldnt be closer to the water and kayaks / canoes were the perfect activity for the lake this fall! Would stay again.
Very clean and cozy cottage right on the lake! Not far to local attractions and grocery stores and the kids loved what they called the "Harry Potter" room. This is the place to get away from it all! Highly recommend.
Excellent in every way. Beautiful location, lovely, well-appointed cottage, tastefully decorated, with all the amenities. Peaceful and quiet, just what we were looking for.
Hope to return again soon!
Our stay at Pine Cone Cottage was peaceful and relaxing. We spent the week enjoying the lake and watching the wild life. The best was when a bald eagle flew over the deck while we were eating dinner.
The cottage is charming and beautifully decorated. The owners took a lot of care to create a comfortable home that takes advantage of the lake and outdoor surroundings.
We loved our time at Pine Cone Cottage and hope to return soon!
Upon arriving immediately felt at home. Our surroundings were private, perfect view of Damarascotta River wide expanse. Fully equipped kitchen, a joy for chefs of family. Excellent fishing relaxing fire pit. Plenty of room for 6 adults.
Second time my friends and I have stayed here. Lots of space for a lake house, everyone gets a bed!
House is also in great condition, not cheaply made over as a rental property.
Communication was great with the property owners. All in all no complaints!
Stay of family from New York and friends from Brazil. 4 adults and 3 young adults. Home had plenty of room to spread out but also be together. The home wax beautifully decorated and had everything needed and more! used the dock for our boat.
Great trip
Brought my family from Brazil to experience Maine. When I asked how they felt about our lake house, one first timer looked deeply into the fog covering the lake and greenery in the distance and, in the most intense voice said, “I love this place!”
We absolutely fell in love with this house, its beautiful lake and Chris and Ani, our amazing hosts. The home is even more beautiful than the pictures show, the furniture and all the beds are very comfortable. The house really has everything you need and is in a great location for day trips. We brought my mom back to Maine for her 90th birthday and the hosts helped make it extra special. She lived on several lakes in Maine years ago but we can honestly say that this spot and Lake Damariscotta are unbelievably unspoiled. We will definitely be back. Thanks for sharing your amazing home.
Mr wife and I are retired and spent four nights here in mid-September 2022. This is an exceptionally clean and comfortable home with a well-equipped kitchen. The location on the lake is excellent and the dock is perfect for a 17-foot Whaler. We would definitely rent again.
You can't beat the water access at this house - beautiful views of the lake from the house, the dock is easily accessible, and it's nice that you have both an easy wade in area to ease your way into the water or take out the kayaks or a deep area to jump right in. Our family spent a very relaxing and peaceful week here! There are a few things that would have made it absolutely perfect. The shower in the basement can't be used and unfortunately the shower outside is pretty visible to the neighbors and doesn't get great warm water. This made it a little bit challenging for six adults to get ready. We also didn't have enough hand/bath towels to go around with the linens option and ended up purchasing some in town at Reny's (great department store and worth checking out if you've never been!). Our time overall was really terrific and we would surely stay again.
We rented the cottage to have a family gathering to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It did not disappoint! Everyone had a marvelous time enjoying the cottage, the lake , and wonderful weather.
Our family of five (kids 16-10-10) enjoyed a few days at Pine Cone Cottage. The space is absolutely gorgeous, comfortable, and what anyone would want in a lakefront home. There was plenty of space - the basement offered key hang out room for the kids while the parents enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs looking out the huge living room windows to the lake. It was a great location, offering reasonable distance for day trips to Rockland / lighthouses, breweries and Lake St. George. The lake was quiet this time of year except for the beautiful sounds of loons. Host Anni Pat was great in communication and support for our trip. If there is anything that opens up for warmer weather, we will be sure to jump on it for another stay at PCC. It was the relaxation and mini getaway our family needed!
Perfect place for adults and children to enjoy! For our winter stay enjoyed sledding, ice fishing, the beautiful view and the children very much enjoyed the play area downstairs.
Owners are responsive, attentive, and accessible during the stay and we enjoyed meeting them too. We would love to come back in the summer!
We loved our stay over a chilly, snowy holiday -- and hope to stay again during the summer months sometime! The cottage was cozy warm in a snowstorm, thanks to the radiant heating in the floors. We spent most of our time watching the snow fall on the lake out the giant picture windows -- including a morning when we saw 4 bald eagles (4!) Very clean, modern, well-appointed throughout.
The location and the cottage itself are beautiful! It is a newer cottage with an older cottage charm. It was the perfect place for our family (a tween, teen, two grandmas, my husband and myself) to spend Thanksgiving weekend! The sleeping arrangements worked well for group- grandmas each got a bedroom, a teen in the fun sleeping cubby (think Harry Potter’s room in coastal Maine), my husband, teen, myself on the twin beds in the lower level. Evenings were spent doing puzzles, and looking at the stars. During the day we watched loons on the lake, walked the property, went into town for lunch and to the charming shops. The day after Thanksgiving we woke to a coating of snow. What a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season. We look forward to going back to Pine Cone cottage for all seasons. Also, the rental process was so easy!
The Property is absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed every moment.
We all had a wonderful time! The house is amazing. The property is perfect. The foliage on the lake was amazing!
This is the quintessential Lake House!
We can’t wait to return.
Thank you AnniPat and George for sharing with us!
This was a beautiful cottage with a stunning view of the river. The host was welcoming and so responsive to our questions about places to go. We had a very special family vacation and would love to return some day.
Well-appointed lovely cottage in an idyllic location
Pine Cone Cottage is the perfect setting for a relaxing vacation. Our family of 5 had fun swimming, kayaking, taking walks and exploring nearby villages. The cottage had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and the property owners were wonderful to work with. Thank you, Chris & Anni Pat! We hope to return!
Very attractive cottage and outside property. Our plans changed and only 2 to 4 people stayed overnight. We were originally 6, so the space was more than adequate. The only drawback was the mustiness in room on the lake level.
