Relax in cool coastal comfort during your stay at Whispering Sands on Galveston Island! This beachfront vacation home is perfect for families or couples vacationing together with two large bedrooms and a third bedroom with kid-friendly bunks. Fall in love with the high ceilings, open floor plan, and walls of windows on the main level. When you're ready to catch a wave, build a sandcastle, or cast your line in the surf just take a few steps and you're on the beach!
The property is about 20 min. from the Galveston seawall. The house is of open layout with plenty of beach view.
Beach is few steps away. The large deck is overlooking the beach with no obstruction. The kitchen is well stocked. The Living and kitchen overlooks the beach.
There is three bedrooms with the master bedroom on the top level. Master bedroom has its own deck.
The second bedroom has beach theme. The third bedroom is great for children, it contains two bunk beds.
The outdoor shower is located downstairs for the convenience of the guests.
This will be a perfect getaway for the summer and will leave pleasant memories with your friends and families. This beach front vacation home is equipped with high speed internet with WI-FI, Satellite TV channels and land line phones for domestic calls.

Great locaton on the beach. Beach is not crowded. Close to main attractions while still being quiet enough to sit on the deck and listen to the waves at night.

Wonderful Stay

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was bright, spacious, clean, and the proximity to the beach was unbeatable. There was a tiny snafu at check in, but the host was extremely responsive and it was resolved as quickly as possible. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

My lady friends & i vacation in Galveston every year. This was a nice house for a large or small group. Beach was not crowded at all & actually had seashells! The owner was very friendly. We had a very relaxing vacation.

Spring Break

Our stay started out rocky, but the owner came through, made repairs and corrected the things that were a problem. Great location, very nice wide beach. Quiet, and peaceful. House is well equipped, and comfortable.

House was large enough and great location.

We loved the house. We originally rented for 3 nights but decided to stay 1 more. It was quickly taken care, of. There is an unobstructed view of the beach and ocean. PERFECT. No a lot of people and no vehicles. Will definitely stay again if we decide to come back.

Nice area

The property was mostly as described with a great beachfront location. It was also very clean. However, it needs a few updates. The vertical blinds in the master bedroom have several broken slats, allowing for little privacy and sun blockage. Also, the sliding glass door doesn't close all the way on the bottom, letting in the hot air. The dining table located on the balcony is completely missing the top, so essentially, it is not a table. Overall a good stay, but could use some new blinds and outdoor furniture.

Right on the beach!

We loved our stay at Whispering Sands. It is right on the beach. I can’t say enough about how beautiful the view was from the deck and the master balcony. A few steps and we were on the beach! Big kitchen was perfect for more than one cook at a time. Brand new microwave and refrigerator. Big table and counter seating, even our group of 8 had plenty of space. The bunk room was the roomiest of any we have rented before. Held 4 and, we didn’t need to, but probably 2 more could have slept comfortably on air mattresses on the floor. Second bedroom is roomy too and the master suite is the entire top floor and has a king bed, balcony and a walk in closet. Plenty to do in Galveston and in south Houston. We had a great time and will definitely rent here again.

Nice House & Location BUT....

We stayed at this house on Mother's Day weekend in May 2019. The good: The house is nicely decorated and furniture is acceptable for a beach location. Hot water is plentiful and quick. The fridge is new, but small. The A/C worked great during our stay. The interior is nicely decorated. The house is directly on the beach. There was plenty of room for our family. The bad: How about a roll of toilet paper? There was one partial roll of toilet paper in two of three bathrooms and none in the 3rd. You're instructed to wash dishes in dishwasher upon departure, but there is no dishwasher soap or dish soap for the sink. That's probably the reason that we found dirty coffee cups and other dishes in the cabinets. There was sand on the small couch when i came in. The room with 4 bunk beds were not made and we had to put the sheets on before sleeping. I'm not sure what the cleaning fee is for unless it's for the "sanitized for you" paper on the toilets (that have no toilet paper). There's only one garbage bag. The garbage cans to dispose garbage were already full. The grass had not been mowed in several weeks, although the neighboring houses looked good. The outside of the house needs TLC.

Awesome family getaway

When it came to the process, it was really easy, the owner was easy to talk to and to communicate with. The location is amazing, enough space for everyone, loved the view, and access to the beach. Very well stocked with essential things, and we felt very comfortable that we added a extra day, thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your home. We will be back in the future.

Loved the brach

Overall a great weekend, loved the view and the beachfront location, the kids had a blast. The house could have been an Aplus with a bit of attention. No tv as advertised in the kids room, only 2 burners worked on stovetop . Most of the mugs chipped. We had to drive 17 miles into town and buy beach chairs, manager refused to supply ‘due to COVID’ although several heavier chairs on patio so logic escapes . But we did have a great weekend

Very Nice Rental

This is the second stay for us at this home. It was squeaky clean on our arrival. Kudos to housekeepers the owner is using. The house is in a great location, is nicely furnished and is recently painted with updated flooring and counters. Really nice vacation choice and right on the beach!
