About this property

Okanagan Lakefront Cottage at Twin Lakes

Summer 2024 Notification: Unfortunately, after November 1, 2024, this property will no longer be available to rent due to the implementation of BC's Short Term Rental Legislation. This legislation was voluntarily imposed by our local regional district representative. If you regularly visit the area of Kaleden (Okanagan), or intend to visit in the future, you can voice your concerns over the lack of short term accomodations to Area Director, Subrina Monteith, at smonteith@rdos.bc.ca . We look forward to welcoming guests this summer, and hopefully again in the future.

Enjoy a lakefront beach vacation! Canoe, swim, golf, fish, suntan, and play. This 2 bedroom private cabin is located on Twin Lakes, in Kaleden, BC. This lovely setting is just 20 minutes West of Penticton or Okanagan Falls, and 15 minutes from Keremeos. There is also a golf course, a convenience store, and liquor store, within a 5 minutes drive.

Enjoy a spacious lakefront deck, sandy beach and dock! This property can sleep up to 6 guests with a queen bed in the master bedroom, 2 twin beds in the second bedroom, and a sofa bed in the living area.

Enjoy a quiet retreat as Twin Lakes only allows electric or non-powered boats. If you choose to bring your own boat, there is a boat launch across the lake. This is a trout-stocked lake.

The large and small lower patios (as shown in one of the photos) were damaged by high water in the Spring of 2018. The beach and floating dock are available, but the lower patios are still under repair.

Hummingbirds, turtles, fish and deer? Yes please!
Our family stayed for a week at Neal and Georgia's cabin, it was wonderful and we had a fantastic time! We swam, snorkled, kayaked, paddleboarded, peddle boated, golfed, relaxed and enjoyed every minute of it. The property is very clean, organized and well equipped, they have thought of everything to make the stay stress free and comfortable. Thank you for sharing your charming cabin and serene lake with us, we will be back!

A piece of paradise
This is a stunning setting on a quiet lake, with wildlife all around. With no motor boats allowed, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boating and swimming are a joy, and best of all water craft are provided. The lake is also stocked with fish. We spent every waking minute on the dock, the lake or the deck, as well as hiking in the area. The cabin was the perfect size for four adults, well equipped, and the owner was very helpful. We will be back!

Peaceful and fun retreat!
We stayed at this cabin for a week this August and it lived up to everything in the listing and more. Extremely clean and had lots of amenities like fishing tackle, golf clubs, kayaks and tons of movies for the evening. It is so quiet and we saw so much wildlife. The highlight for us was the abundance of turtles in the lake who swam with us and interacted, it was super fun! The one thing to keep in mind for individuals who may have accessibility issues, there is a very steep and long staircase from the road to the cabin, it's quite a workout. Otherwise, it's a great place to stay if you are looking for water fun and quiet.

Great vacation property
I hesitate to recommend this property because we want to go back next year. Quiet (no gas motor boats or wave riders) and a great swimming and canoeing lake. The cottage is well-equipped and (other than the stairs down ) a good retiree or family spot).
