About this property

Villa Aqua, beach & ocean front

Offering 2 bedroom units for weekly, monthly or annual rates. Spacious and large bedrooms with queen and king beds for many sleeping configurations. Enjoy the peace of the tranquil community. Have morning coffee on the covered porches and enjoy days on the secluded white sandy beaches sipping a tropical cocktail. Walk minutes to the beach from the Aqua Villa and take a drive to the resort for tennis, pool, massages and more.

Kitchen is fully stocked for the mature or not so functional chef to prepare those hearty meals. Service is provided for up to 8 people. Toaster, Microwave, coffee makers, gas stove and full size refrigerator is available.

Grocery stores and other island-shopping (small shopping centers with everything or small, well equipped, nice island shops) are within 10 to 40 car minutes away.

A hotel area with restaurant and activities is 5 - 10 minutes walk away and additional eateries and shopping in the area are 10 - 30 minutes away by car.

Laundry facilities, pool and restaurant close by.

Caretaker available to assist with any additional required items. Foodstore, gas station, eco tourism sightseeing properties are close by.

Car rental can be obtained at the airport to enjoy sightseeing of the entire island, which truly lives up to it's name of being called "Long Island".
If you don’t want to drive, there are friendly taxi drivers who can show you the island or bring you to any place.

Fantastic short trip

Lovely Stay
Beautiful house. Very relaxing. The house is absolutely perfect. Sat on the patio every morning enjoying coffee and breakfast. We had no problem with the no seeums bugs. Thanks Paulette, everything was perfect!

Such a special location and a property that offers so much. Breathtaking views of the ocean from the villa and spacious patio. All the amenities one would ever need are provided together with an incredibly comfortable bed! We loved our stay and really didn't want to leave! We will definitely return.

Spectacular ocean view
We loved this house. Long Island was perfect for us but probably not for everyone. If you like deserted beaches, wind, waves and sun...and can do without the many amenities that people come to expect in resort areas, you'll do fine here.

Good stay
Nice stay. Spacious home. Dated but it still served its purpose nicely. Having access to laundry was amazing. The home was very convenient to Stella Airport. The property manager was easy to reach for any questions. Only real negative was the orange slime on the grout in the shower. Other than that I’d highly recommend this rental if you’re interested in seeing north Long and Cape Santa Maria.

House is great... but Long Island was NOT for us.
I'd be fine with the third-world infrastructure if I weren't paying first-world prices. The house itself was excellent. Support staff was responsive. We just didn't do enough research on Long Island or the Bahamas in general. Mostly I wish it were easier to get around (to the island, to other islands... even just around the island itself). That and better food options. If you're from Florida, I can imagine the Bahamas being a reasonable vacation option for you... but if you're from California like me, just go to Hawaii.

House was beautiful but pounding surf and days of heavy rain ruined the trip.
Property is very nice but the incessant pounding surf became a problem for sleeping and relaxing.

Paradise on Long Island
This property is fantastic. The location is excellent. The villa was clean and had all the amenities we needed to enjoy a fabulous vacation on beautiful Long Island. The host Paulette was very helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had. We highly recommend this property.

The view from this house is outstanding. In fact, you will find it hard to leave to explore this great island! The Moonshine beach restaurant is a very short walk and the main Stella Maris restaurant a short walk too. The kitchen is well appointed and the house nicely furnished. Caretakers very helpful. Bed in MB very comfortable and shower large. We will definitely return! If the air is still, which was not often, Bug spray is recommended. I think there was just one morning where this was the case. For the most part, the wind was blowing. Sound of the waves wonderful!

12 days in paradise
My husband and I stayed at this property for 12 days. It truly was a touch of heaven. The property is in the perfect location. The views are memorizing and breathtaking. The home is lovely. It was very clean and so well stocked with everything you would need. This property also has so many beautiful memorabilia from the owner. Beautiful home made art as well as treasures from the sea. The excerpts from her book were enlightening and so interesting. After taking the 20 steps to the beach the beautiful views from the home are right under your feet. The scenery changes moment by moment as the ocean and the sun work together to amaze you. The sunrises are incredible. All neighbours were so helpful,welcoming and kind. This home is truly a magical place. We are so thankful to have had the opportunity to experience this beautiful home. Hopefully we will be back next year.

What a charming and perfect place to relax! Right on the ocean and lots of space to stretch out and do as much or little as wanted. Paulette, Cheryl and Glenn were amazing and helpful to make our trip enjoyable. Definitely will be back!

Great island to vacation at..
WE LOVED THIS PART OF THE ISLAND .THE SUNRISES ARE AMAZING FROM YOUR ROOM.THERE IS A BEACH AT THE HOUSE ITS A LITTLE ROCKY GETTING TO IT BUT DOABLE..THE VEIW OF THE OCEAN FROM THE HOUSES IN STELLA ARE BREATH TAKING .THE HOUSE IS VERY CLEAN .THE MASTER BED WAS VERY COMFORTABLE. ..THE AC UNITS IN THIS HOUSE WORK GREAT WHEN NEEDED BUT THERE WAS A NICE BREESE EVERY DAY. I WOULD ADD A TV IN THE LIVING ROOM. THE KITCHEN APPLIANCES TAKE A FEW DAYS TO GET US TOO. OVERALL WE HAD A GREAT VACATION. THANKS AGAIN

Second Visit and second review. Paulette is an amazing owner as well as the home and location
Okay so this is my second visit to Villa Aqua. First time was October 2019 right before Covid. I was just now able to return. I told Paulette then that I would definitely be back. Mr. Glenn and his wife the property caretakers are amazing and just really, really good caring people. I won’t mention here all of the details, but I’ll just say due to weather me, my wife and parents were a day late getting to the house because of weather. Paulette and Mr Glenn and his wife all 3 constantly kept checking on us and wanted to know how they could help, and making sure we were okay and HAPPY. We finally made it and since we were late getting to Long Island we decided to stay an extra day. I will allow Paulette to share the generosity that she did for us should she so desire, but I will say that she was more than understanding and gracious. This doesn’t even talk about the beautiful and amazing home. It’s been almost 3 years since I was there last, and I can say that the property has been very well maintained and taken very good care of. It is in just as great of shape as it was the last time. It’s obvious they take great pride in there place. The view and scenery??? Well it has not moved… Ha, Ha It’s just as beautiful and amazing as ever. Absolutely breathtaking and stunning. Within 5 - 10 minutes to Stella Morris Airport where I fly in to. Everyone on Long Island are GENUINE kind hearted and caring people. The rental car guy was like keep the car as long as you like when we told him about staying another day, and Donald the Airport manager is still there just as friendly as ever. I told Donald that I certainly had not forgotten him after 3 years. I believe he would still have a smile on his face if he lost his dog and was at his funeral. I told him that I have never seen him without a smile on his face. I told Paulette that I was definitely going to give a review for her when I got back, but I find it hard to express in words how truly amazing the property and she is. Hopefully, I will again be able to return to such an amazing place and if so, well I think you all know where I’ll be. Thank You Paulette for your amazing hospitality, MR and Mrs Glenn, Donald and all the other amazing Bahamian friends that we met while on island, you all be safe and well. Jamason

Villa Aqua was exactly as described. Paulette was great and always quick to reply before and during our stay. The one air conditioner was not working and it was fixed before we returned for the day. Our stay was very private (as is the island) and relaxing. You can’t swim in the water outside the Villa but there was a small pool of sea just slightly to the left that you can cool off and float that I did everyday. Moonshine bar is next door to the left. Was great to walk over to have a beer/ drink. The pina coladas looked amazing. I really wanted one but being a diabetic I Couldn’t have one. Their burgers were pretty good. We were disappointed that there was not a grill as pictured in the VRBO pictures, but we made due. We enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend.

My family had a great time visiting Stella Maris. The house is very clean with everything that you might need while you are there. It is also within a very short walk of an amazing natural swimming spot and some really great beaches. I highly recommend staying here.
