"Sunny Dayz" Dog Friendly OCEANFRONT Home on Topsail Island, NC

"Sunny Dayz," a charming, updated three bedroom, two bath oceanfront home located directly on the beaches of Topsail Island, is a popular vacation destination for many who seek fun in the sun on beautiful Topsail Island. In the carport, you'll find an access to a laundry room equipped with a washer and dryer(new in 2022).

Enter the house from the staircase located in the carport to the front door. Here, you enter the home directly into the living room. You'll find new flooring throughout the home added in 2023. The living room has a large L-shaped sectional, two arm chairs, an electric fireplace (added in 2022) and a flat screen TV for relaxing after a long day in the sun. Double sliding doors to the beach-front deck allow for sweeping views of the water right from the couch. Behind the living room lies a cozy kitchen (garbage disposal added in 2022) with a dining table perfect for six and two counter stools.

To the right of the front door bedrooms one and two are found. Bedroom one has a double bed while bedroom two has two twin beds and both bedrooms have flat screen TV's. Both bedrooms share a bathroom located in the hallway with a stand-up shower (renovated in 2023).

The master bedroom in located to the left off the living room. The master bedroom has a queen bed, flat screen TV, private full bathroom and sliding doors out to the beachfront deck.

Hands down, the best feature of this house is the sweeping beachfront deck. The newly built deck stretches across the entire length of the house. A new dining table (added in 2022) is on the deck, perfect for an alfresco meal. There is a high boy table and four high boy chairs to enjoy the surrounding views of Topsail. Off to the side of the deck you'll find a gated access to a fenced side yard (added in 2022) that can also be accessed from the driveway, a perfect play area for pups. This special outdoor space allows for private access to the beach, ensuring that you are always just steps away from a fun filled day in the sun at "Sunny Dayz".

TRIP PREPARATION:
Access Realty Vacation Rentals adhere to minimum standards set to provide you with as many of the comforts of home as possible during your stay. All our vacation rentals include fully equipped kitchens, basic small appliances (microwaves, coffee makers, toasters), pillows, comforters/bedspreads, television(s) and more!

Please note that unless otherwise indicated above, linens are not provided during your stay. You are welcome to bring your own linens, or we provide a linens rental service for your convenience. Our vacation homes are not guaranteed to have consumable items in stock for guest use (i.e. toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc.).

**Cancellation: Any cancellation of a confirmed reservation must be made in writing by Guest. Reservation payments are not reimbursable unless the property can be re-rented for the same rate and time period. Every effort will be made to re-book the property. If property is re-rented, Guest will receive reimbursement of payments made less nonrefundable reservation fee, cancellation fee (varies by property), and third-party fees (travel insurance, security deposit alternative, insurance, convenience fee, etc.). Insurance fees shall not be reimbursed unless the Agent is reimbursed by the issuing insurance company.
**Check In Day: Check-in begins at 4:00 PM on the day of your scheduled arrival. As soon as we are notified your rental is ready for check in, we will give you a courtesy call on the cell phone number that you provided above and we will send your check in instructions via email. All homes must be cleaned and inspected before we are allowed to issue keys or passes. Please note: keys or door codes will NOT be given to anyone under the age of 25 or to anyone who is not named on the reservation. If you need to authorize someone other than yourself to pick up keys or receive a door code email, please notify our office prior to your arrival date.
**Early check-ins and Late check-outs must be pre-approved and are not allowed if there is a reservation checking out the same day another reservation is checking in. You may contact us the week of your arrival to determine if there is any availability to add an early check in or late check out. There is a fee associated with early check ins and late check outs.
**After Hours Check Ins are available for anyone scheduled to arrive after 5pm or on Sunday when our offices are closed. Please notify us as soon as you are aware you will need an After Hours Check In.

EXCELLENT!!!!! HOUSE is lovely, desk is great, ocean front, side yard fenced in for our fur baby..
We loved the house & oceanfront so much we made reservations to return in May 2024!!! This is "our get away" place now. Have rented houses/condos for years NC & SC beaches this works best for us. Thank you so very much for sharing this beautiful home/space with us. Also, close to park so we can take fur baby to play ball and just have fun.

Great Beachfront Property
This made for a great beach getaway for the Holidays. Convenient beachfront access, and the house was bright, clean, and cheerful. The reservation and property management process could have been clearer. They sent too many different e-mails and it was difficult to keep track of them. A single summary e-mail with links would have been sufficient and a lot easier to keep up with. As it was it turned out we did not request linens and pay our pet fee up front, but it wasn't explicitly clear how to do so. So we had to take care of those when we arrived. Clearer communication from the property manager would have made that easier. The property manager was responsive via text regarding a small repair that needed to be done when we were in the home, and the check-in and check-out procedures were clearly explained.

Great dog-friendly property
We spent four days here in the early season for a short vacation break. We brought along our youngest golden retriever, who had never been to the beach before. She loved the place at least as much as we did. The ocean side deck is well secured so the dog could be put out there watching people, crashing waves, birds, and of course other dogs while being secure with relatively little supervision. A side gate opens to a stairs that lead to the fully fenced side yard where there's some grass, along with a poop bucket and proper scooper. The house is quiet, so relatively few loud noise disturbed the dog. Our dog had a great time. And so did we despite some pretty chilly weather. All in all, a relaxing few days spent here. Highly recommended.

Perfect Getaway Spot
This home is perfect for easy relaxing as the ocean is steps from the back deck. The home is clean and very functional for a family. Great for pets as there is a fenced in side yard that is easy to access. Close to great restaurants. Just all around an excellent place to stay!

Great location at a solid price
Great location but beware this is not the typical VRBO more of a beach rental which the realty company tells you in communication but it isn’t clear in the ad. Having used VRBO in the past there were some expectations of VRBO “style” but some of the things expected of a VRBO aren’t there (linens and towels garbage bags things like that) and have to be purchased or rented. Again not a huge deal especially in Dec but may figure in decision making. May be easier to just use the realty company Access Realty who were easy to communicate with and skip the VRBO website if you’d are ok with beach rental style Other than that it’s great. Oceanfront is never bad and the place will need some updates in the bathrooms but the kitchen is new and very nice. All said recommend this place with the VRBO caveat. Now that we know we would have no issues renting again. Todd and Stephanie

Great location beautiful view
My family of 6 stayed here and had a great time. Nice kitchen with beautiful views. Still needs some updating The master bedroom was 10 degrees warmer than the rest of the house. Had to rent a AC unit to cool the room. The mattress need to be replaced also. Once these things have been completed I would definitely come back.

Great for family and pup!
This was a really wonderful place to enjoy with my children and our pup! The location is ideal, it had everything we needed and the enclosed deck was a super bonus for a dog owner. We hope to be back soon.

Dirty, not well kept, felt like a college dorm room
I have never been disappointed with a beach house until this one. The mattresses and pillows were old and uncomfortable so we ended our vacation more tired than we started. The place smelled like smoke. It was not clean. It is right beside a public beach access which ensures the only crowd on a relatively calm beach is directly in front of the house. That also means there is more litter in front of the house from the heavy traffic. We knew from the rental agreement that many of the extras such as a grill, sheets, etc, had to be rented but this place lacked everything. On the bright side it did have a nice deck and even a disappointing house on the beach is still on the beach.

The best part is the deck and stairs that drop right into the sand!
The house itself has pros and cons. My breakdown is below. Coming from someone not accustomed to beach life I would say this house was very good for my family of three for just a few days. Our favorite things was the access to the beach and the location of the house. Before we return or recommend this house to someone else I would expect to see some updates and the price not to rise because of it. Pros are there is cable on a wide screen, the large sliding doors make a great view of the water, the deck is in good shape with plenty of chairs and hose/shower convenient for rinsing off sand. Love the dunes that meet the deck for privacy and visual appeal when looking out over the deck. The master bath has nice tile but grout needs updating and the build up around the sink faucet could have been scrubbed. Loved master bedroom being able to hear and see the ocean. Nice size washer and dryer in good condition. Carpet and hard flooring is good. Cons would be the kitchen and dining area needs renovated. The fridge, sink and oven are fine/clean appliances but the cabinets aren’t constructed to the ceiling, the dining furniture is super dated. There’s marks on the kitchen flooring and under the rug. Lamp shades are worn. The couch is an appropriate fish pattern but I was Leary as to the cleanliness. The other two bedrooms don’t have a view of the ocean. To access the washer/dryer you have to go outside. The water stains on the ceilings lead me to believe the roof needs work. A maintenance guy even stopped by to fix a leak (dripped from master bed closet). You can see some roof shingles are missing or needing replaced. The curtain covering the master door is hung slanted. The door itself needs replaced - not in the track properly. I truly believe this property could be fantastic if it could just receive proper updates and attention to detail. Perhaps a binder on the table that welcomes guests and makes suggestions on where to eat, family things to do etc. Email is great but Could be taken to the next level of professionalism.

Great location and beach access! House needs a little help
The beach access and deck were definitely the perk of this property! We loved sitting out on the deck and being right on the beach. Access Realty was great to work with. I can't give it 5 stars because the house needs some help with maintenance/updates for the price we paid (for example shower door coming off rail, kitchen cupboard missing screw, broken bed post in bedroom, etc). There was nothing major that affected our vacation but a lot of little things that need update for the high cost of this rental! Would consider renting this property again if updates/maintenance issues addressed.
