We arrived at the house and noticed several heavy bags on the roof. The morning after we arrived, we were awoken before 7am by loud feet walking above us. When we went outside, large tarps had been placed on the roof. We weren’t notified of any issues with the roof prior to arrival. Inside, there were holes drilled into the ceiling. This was obviously due to water issues from a faulty roof. With the house being left at 80 degrees while not occupied, I can only imagine the mold growing up there. We ended up leaving our stay two nights early because we started having breathing issues.
The house first appeared clean, but after some time we noticed our daughter’s bare feet had turned black. My husband was able to find a mop and some cleaning solution to go over the floors. The water was dark gray when he was done. There were long, dark hairs all over the master bathroom floors. The bath mats were not clean. I’m not sure the house has ever been vacuumed. There were dust clods and random items under the beds, bureaus, and tables. The dining table had crumbs all over it. What does the cleaning fee goes towards? It’s not going to a professional cleaning service, or if it is, they’re being swindled.
There were no instructions for anything. All of the VRBO properties we’ve stayed in have had information booklets. The “heated” pool was never warm enough to be enjoyable and once the cold spell hit, it was frigid the remainder of our stay. The internet did not work upon arrival. After contacting the host, I had to find a router in a bedroom drawer and plug it in. The grill lighter did not work. There were uncovered outlets in the living room and dining area. The garage door opener had to be held down for it to close. You can’t use the boat dock because there’s a boat literally stuck on the lift that hasn’t been registered since 2016.
The trash and recycling barrels were all filled to the brim with construction garbage. There was no room for our trash on the first day we could put it out for pickup. No one had put the trash out or picked it up before we arrived.
It took over 2 weeks to get our security deposit back. That’s really unacceptable. The property should be evaluated right after the stay and deposit released. Setting it to the maximum possible length for VRBO to release it is ridiculous when there’s no damage.
The only positive aspects of this house were the layout and view of the canal. We would not stay here again.
While it is an older home, it was beautifully decorated, well stocked, beds comfortable, pool fantastic, great neighborhood, close to grocery store and cheap Uber ride to shops and restaurants. Staying again next year!
Overall good were screws laying in driveway when we arrived. Nice pool and showers . Nice quiet neighborhood. Worked well with dogs big yard and pool area

Marco Home
Home is very dated, definitely needed a better cleaning , pool is very nice and well kept. Dryer really doesn’t work well so don’t plan on laundry. Not enough towels in house and sheets were very old. Dock can’t be used for a boat as there is a old boat there. Communication with the property manager is excellent she responds immediately. Neighborhood is beautiful and great location.
My family really enjoyed our first visit to Marco Island. The house has the basics, is in a great quiet area close to the grocery and about 10 minutes from the beach by car. The shining star of the place is the pool/patio area. My kids spent hours swimming - pool was clean and warm! Recommend.
First impression of the home, the front yard grass high and unmaintaned. Front window with the shade half broken, the broken piece hidden behind the sofa. A mass number of flies inside the home, not sure how they were getting in but where overwhelming, would find dead flies in our cups and food. Kitchen pots and pans were old and needed replacement. Moved the side table to plug in my phone charger and saw a big ball of hair behind the table wrapped in the lamp cable, then looked around and noticed the hair balls behind furniture and all over the bathroom floors. The tv in one of the bedrooms was not working, neither was the air conditioner, the house was hot all the time. Overall the house was filthy and not maintaned.. This is the first time I rent a vacation home and use the site, expected a clean and well kept home, this is not the case with this house. Very disappointed beware of the pictures they are deceitful.
We rented this house for the month of March 2021. The photos are very accurate. We had some minors issues when we arrived, which Laura was extremely prompt in handling and resolving for us. Perfect location in a quiet neighborhood in Marco. Accessible to everything. Wonderful time!
The house was exactly as shown in the photos and had everything we needed for an extended stay with our two young kids. Laura was very responsive with any questions we had.
The location of this house was great for exploring Naples and the everglades. Everything was very easily accessed with a car. We absolutely loved the pool and outdoor area- even in January because the pool was heated. The only issues we had were with dirty kitchen appliances, pots and pans, drawers with lots of crumbs in them, etc. and also minimal wash cloths no hand soaps or extra toilet paper. The owner was quick to respond in effort to get us the additional items, however we never ended up receiving enough wash cloths for each person to have their own individual cloth. Overall, I think the place was great minus the cleanliness of the kitchen and a few minor issues that could be fixed such as crooked cabinets and loose towel racks. I strongly recommend this location however
Our stay on Marco Island was great! The house was clean and had everything we needed (towels, toilet paper, paper towels, cookware). The private pool was amazing and the view of canal was really pretty and relaxing. We had fairly nice weather and were able to make use of the bikes (only 3 of 5 were adequate, 2 had popped tires), take many pleasant walks and enjoy being outside in a quiet, friendly neighborhood.
Excellent stay, fair price, highly recommend!
This 3 bedroom property was ideal for my family of 2 adults and 4 children. Check in was extremely easy and we very much appreciated Laura (the owner) allowing us to check in a few hours early. The property was clean and the online pictures were very accurate. Communication with Laura was always easy and her quick response was outstanding. We especially appreciated Laura going above and beyond on short notice on New Year’s Day to ensure we had access to ESPN to watch our beloved Ohio State Buckeyes beat up on Clemson. The 6 beach towels, 6 beach chairs, 2 boogie boards, cooler, and beach cart that were provided were used extensively and made our multiple trips to nearby Tigertail beach extremely enjoyable. The kitchen was well stocked and provided everything we needed to cook the days catch from our morning fishing trip. The outdoor gas grill was also great for cooking meals and the family really enjoyed dining outside on multiple occasions. The heated pool was very clean, and Laura made sure it was heated and ready for use upon our early afternoon arrival. The entire family loved and took advantage of the spacious pool daily, and the kid’s especially enjoyed their evening swims. The washer and dryer were also used on multiple occasions and very much appreciated. The neighborhood was nice and quiet and the location is convenient to restaurants, multiple grocery stores, as well as the beach. Our family really enjoyed our 5 night stay and we look forward to returning in the future.
This was property was very nice, clean, quiet location. Quick drive to anything you needed, groceries, beach, places to eat. We would certainly recommend this property and would go back again.
Had a great time staying here everything went well had a couple little issues but the owner Laura took care of it immediately which was greatly appreciated would definitely like to come back thanks Laura
