Beautiful view

The house was very spacious and clean. The view of the river is absolutely stunning. We had a wedding to attend at Gardens in the Gorge and the location was perfect. Just a short 3 minute drive. We did have trouble opening the door. The knob seemed stuck several times.

Perfect for what we needed

Came for Chattajack 2024( end of October). Needed a house on the river to act as base camp. This fit the bill for three guys. Relaxed by the fire pit each night. Check and check out was a breeze. House seemed like it has not been rented since summer months which i would expect. Was perfect for the three of us, but if the wives came they would say the house needed a really deep clean. Cobwebs in outside of windows to the point we could t open them. The deck in the large bedroom should not be used. Was a bit sketchy. BUT! It was a perfect house had everything we needed 10 minutes to downtown quiet at night. Don’t miss the driveway! Perfect secluded house. We will return

Great house for our family from far away places to get together. We all enjoyed the river, fishing, having time together and a beautiful town nearby to explore.

Repeat guests

My family loves everything about this place! The location is perfect, atmosphere is cozy, plenty of space and river views are beautiful. Highly recommend. My only “con” is that it is no longer pet friendly. But if you don’t travel with your 4-legged friends like we do, then this place is 5 outta 5 stars!!

TN River Get Away

Great cabin! Super clean! Loved being right on the water. And the restaurant, River Drifters, almost right across the street had the best burgers ever! Very convenient location 5 minutes from Walmart and food city.

Idyllic place to vacation.

My family and I stayed for a short retreat in October. The location is perfect. The house is very spacious and welcoming. The kitchen was clean and well appointed. I would recommend a couple of more large salad bowls if I would be picky. The beds are comfortable enough for me, they were very clean. Loved the large dining room table where you can have dinner with entire family while looking out over the Tennessee river. I plan to visit again.

Perfect for our needs

It’s a spacious property and an absolutely beautiful view on the river. Myself and my seven children ranging in age from 6 months to 12 years had a really great adventure together. The only con I could list is that we had a bit of an ant problem. We just kept our food in plastic bins and all was well.

Beautiful river view HOWEVER:

It was great to be on the water but a few things we think the owners need to be aware of (and upcoming guests): 1. Bugs - cockroaches, ants, dead bugs in light fixtures, etc. need professional bug service not just sticky traps 2. Beds are hard and the upstairs queen has a broken base and you sleep crooked 3. Tripping!!! The hearth needs to be marked or changed because we had two people trip and fall. Also the upstairs large room —- the queen bed is directly under the bunks and YOU WILL HIT YOUR HEAD. Please change configuration. 4. Better stocked kitchen - need more pans, serving dishes We enjoyed the view and the water… great for a group of people - lots of seating. Bet it’s breathtaking all year round

Awesome family vacation!

The house was perfect for our family vacation. My brother & sister in law and kids drove up from Florida and we drove down from chicago to vacation together. The house was perfect. Kids loved jumping off the dock and swimming. Adults relaxed on the large beautiful deck! Only issue we had was the jet tub in the main bathroom didn’t work and the hot water ran out fairly quickly with two families trying to shower. But we would stay here again! We loved it!

Good Location, Beautiful View, Some interior issues

The short review is we wouldn't stay here again. The long review... Very poorly marked property and one side of the driveway (there are two entry/exits) is unusable because it is too steep and you are trying to get out onto a 45 mph road almost blindly. Everything inside is old and worn out. The mattresses were rough. The queens in the main bedroom were so bad in some spots you sunk to the box springs. The master bath shower is rotting out under the bottom and it is spongy and feels like it is going to fall through. The "bunk" room with the lofted beds over the queen is Insanely HOT, with a super old and uncomfortable futon. The basement bunkbeds make some much noise with any little movement they wake you all night. No bathroom in the basement. One bathroom, the master on the main level. Two bathrooms on the top level. The kitchen was reasonably equipped but all the pots and pans the teflon is flaking off into the food. There were cockroaches runninf around - we saw them on the top floor. The exterior deck is wonderful and it was fantastic it had two tables, we ate out there a lot. Lots of table seating inside as well so great for a large group. The view and proximity to the river is awesome and the kids loved fishing. The location of the property was perfect. We contacted the property owners once to ask if there were extra garbage bags for the kitchen - tried calling and texting- and no response. Didn't bother to contact them after that for anything.

Family time

My husband and I hosted our family vacation here and everyone had a wonderful time. The house was right on the Tennessee river as advertised and it's a great place to relax and enjoy water activities. We rented the pontoon boat and kayaks. We brought our paddle boards but they have several there to rent as well. The house is very close to town to enjoy all that's there plus Lookout Mountain is a short drive away as well. It's very close to grocery stores and Walmart if you run out of anything. I wish we had more time because there was still more we didn't get to see and do. Guess that means we'll have to go back. Just a bit of info to pass along. It wasn't an issue for us but may be to others that stay here. The bedroom downstairs doesn't have a bathroom so they will need to go to the 2nd (main) floor to use that one. The bedrooms on the 3rd floor have 2 bathrooms available. The kitchen has plenty of counter space and new appliances. The back deck has a great view of the river and we ate several meals there.

Great for a relaxed girl’s weekend

Booked this rental for an out of town getaway to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Lots of counter and kitchen space for cooking and snacks, great common spaces for meals and games, good outdoor space, and plenty of bathrooms/beds for our group of 9. Boat dock was great for swimming and laying out. Bring your own floats/noodles! Host was super responsive to all my questions and I would definitely stay here again!!

TN River Getaway

The house was way more house than we needed, but the spaces we used were comfortable. Would be a perfect place for large group. Free usage of the dock was awesome and launch was 1 block away! Bonus that there was a bar/restaurant down the street too! The owner was super responsive and there were no surprises. Recommendations...don't use Tide products, our daughter is allergic so I had to wash all bedding/towels when we arrived. Put a door on laundry room and make sure the house is puppy proofed (our puppy found some random things throughout the week). Overall great experience and would stay again if in the area.

Great home with fantastic views

We hosted a 14-person family reunion here and it was absolutely fantastic. The house is super spacious with 3 floors and we never felt cramped or crowded despite having so many people. Virtually all the rooms had big windows overlooking the Tennessee River below us and it was a great sight to wake up to every morning. The location of the cabin is great because it's in close proximity to beautiful, scenic hikes and the city center with the pedestrian bridge, aquarium, and Renaissance park. It's also close to supermarkets and the airport. This house really began to feel like home by the end of the week, with family gatherings around the campfire in the backyard, and almost every meal shared in the dining room together. The hosts were also very attentive and came quickly to attend to minor issues we pointed out. We highly recommend this cabin to any large family looking to make great, lasting memories! P.S. I would recommend bringing your own hangers if you want to hang clothes in the closets. Closets were very spacious but I ended up folding my clothes because there were no hangers.

Family reunion

It was older that we expected, but was excellent for a lot of older kids (becasue of stairs). Our family loved the place and especially the dock for fishing. Only a couple of suggestions: more blankets for winter, more forks and spoons, more trash bags. Otherwise we had a wonderful time.

Lovely area especially in the fall

We had a wonderful time! This was a staycation / small family reunion time. We enjoyed the view and paddle boards. Our only issue was with the fact we had 4 couples and there were only 3 private rooms and one of those had twin beds. I would re arrange the beds . We also had to kill a large roach every night but were right next to the river and the time of year probably had to do with it. The owner was very helpful and very prompt to contact us. Overall we loved our stay and would do it again!

Golf trip weekend

This house was a good spot for our trip of guys. I wish the bathrooms had been a little more updated and cleaner as the main shower drain didn’t work very well. Location on the river was awesome!

Just a couple of families that enjoy getting outside or taking a relaxing boat ride up the river to enjoy a meal at a downtown restaurant. The Beasley's and the Wilburn's have a passion for having fun outdoors and teaching their children the same.

When they are not providing healthcare services, putting people under anesthesia, preparing tax returns or engineering electrical stuff, they are spending time with family and friends or trying to fit in the next mountain bike ride between soccer practice and swim lessons.

Why they chose this property

Everything about this place screams fun for our families whether kayaking suck creek, fishing on the Tennessee River or watching the waterfront concerts of River Bend or Riverfront Nights after a day of wakeboarding...we just couldn't resist, after all we get to enjoy it just as much as our guests!

The Beasley's and the Wilburn's purchased this property in hopes of providing a hub for others to enjoy all of the activities that they love about Chattanooga.

What makes this property unique

River Access: Private Dock out the back door and Public Boat Ramp within 200 yards.

Proximity to Activities: Hiking, Kayaking, Fishing, Swimming, Boating, Climbing...and just about anything you can think of.
