Welcome to Casa Flakopi,
a farmhouse nearby the ruins of the ancient city of Filakopi, where the guests can enjoy the gentle and relaxing sound of reeds and sea waves.An ideal place for a 4 person family, 2 friendly couples , or a group of 4 friends.(Also available for 2 persons).Ideal for long stays.



Casa Filakopi is a farm house of 3.5 acre of cultivated fields and about 0.5 acre of house facilities. Its history begins back in 1920 and during the last 2 years has been totally renovated, retaining its unique traditional old style features combined with modern amenities.

House structure

The facility has a very playful feel and it consists of two main rooms which can be isolated from each other, a W.C , an exterior kitchen and an exterior bathroom. The first room is used as a master bedroom (double bed inside), while the second one, can have multiple uses (2nd bedroom with a double bed or two singles, living room), depending on the number and needs of guests. In each of these rooms air conditioning is included. The W.C. has its own shower and can easily serve basic needs of our visitors, yet for those who prefer to enjoy their shower, while gazing the landscape, there is an exterior bathroom.Next to it a washing machine is available for washing clothes. An excellent combination of simplicity, elegance and comfort.

A traditional “rustic” oven, which has been restored to a fully equipped kitchen(regular oven, electric glass plates, toaster, electric BBQ, filter coffee machine, espresso pot, medium size refrigerator)
is right next to the main rooms with independent yard. The kitchen comes along with a wooden exterior table and a built-in six-person seat. An ideal spot for having breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Washing machine is available next to the exterior bathroom.

The yard of the place provides its guests with a beautiful and peaceful view of the fields, the dry river beneath the house and the sea sight on the horizon.

Cool off spots

For those who like to lay and swing there is a hammock at the lower garden. An exterior shower near the entrance of the main yard offers a cooling experience during the warm hours of the day.

Casa Filakopi stands alone, almost hidden, totally surrounded by silence and sounds of nature. Your privacy will not be interrupted by anyone and anything. At the same time, you will be 2,5 km away from Apollonia, one of the most famous traditional villages of Milos (well known for its restaurants, cafés and easy going atmosphere). You will also find yourself very near to all the northern beaches of Milos, such as Papafragas , Mytakas , Pachena , Sarakiniko , Kastanas.

Breakfast is not included, but during your stay you will have the chance to taste few of our local products such us local food, sweats, fruits and wines.

Gem of a spot
The place is self checkin, but Yoryos was there it meet us. He gave us lots of great restaurant recommendations and beaches not to miss. The place is absolutely gorgeous. The view is lovely and it has a very relaxing vibe. We would stay there again!

We had a great stay in Milos. The house was a bit difficult to find, but once we figured out the exact turn, it ended up being in the best location—remote and Peaceful!

Nous avons bien apprécié notre séjour. L’endroit a été difficile à trouver, car nous sommes arrivés de nuit et le GPS n’était pas exact sur le chemin à prendre. Un peu plus d’indications auraient aidé. La route pour ce rendre est un peu difficile. Les chambres étaient bien, mais seulement un drap pour nous couvrir . La cuisine extérieure et la salle de bain extérieur sont bien.

Can't fault it!
A perfectly tranquil accommodation and location. It has everything you need and then some. Giorgos has thought of every little detail to make your stay a home away from home. The location is convenient and the property is spacious beyond belief with stunning views. Communication was exceptional and check was so easy. I recommend this property highly and will be staying again. Thank you for making our trip/stay that additional touch that we needed to make it perfect.

Parti début avril à Milos, nous avons eu une météo clémente mais avec beaucoup de vent. Aussi la prise des repas le soir sur la terrasse de la Casa s'est avéré difficile et nous avons eu certains soirs très froid car pas de possibilité de manger à l'intérieur de la Casa. Malgré cela, nous avons passé un très bon séjour à Casa filakopi .

Fantastic private vacation home
My friends and I stayed at Casa Filakopi for a much needed vacation. We purposefully chose the house for the privacy and more secluded location than other properties in Milos. It was the perfect spot for us! The home is beautifully decorated and felt truly peaceful. It was clean and has comfortable beds. We enjoyed using the kitchen and outdoor dining table. Having two bathrooms was great. The host Yioryos was very friendly and responsive. The house is easily accessible to beaches and restaurants by car, although there is not much you can access by walking. We loved our time at Casa Filakopi and highly recommend it!

Beautiful house in Milos
The place was beautiful and super private. The drive way isn’t paved but it’s extremely manageable. My friends and I loved the different layout of the house and the bathroom outside the house had a waterfall shower head with a view of the ocean. Depending on where you wanted to go, you could either walk to the beach or drive 5 minutes to Papafragas or Pachina. The house came with beach mats and a couple of towels which was extremely helpful as an international traveler. It was a great location as everything was a 15 minute drive max to the house. We would stay here again.

The house is in the beautiful countryside of the Milos. Very private and quiet. Pollonia village is close by, well, everything is close actually, Plaka and Adamantas is 12 minutes away.

Traditional Greek Summer House!
We had a great experience in this property, we’ve been traveling for several weeks throughout the islands staying in various types of properties and this one was a bit different but exceptional! There were 4 of us (2) couples with two bedrooms and two bathrooms it was perfect. We arrived after dark on an extremely windy night so it was a bit awkward for us to find the property, but, the owner met us on the main road and guided us in! The home is clean and well cared for and suites our needs. It was very privately situated on a mountainside and one day we were surprised by about 200 goats passing through around the property! It was kind of exciting to see this happen! I especially liked being awakened by the rooster off in a distance every morning, it gave us the chance to get an early start every day naturally without the hammering sound of the alarm clock! The weather was excellent which was a blessing as the family room and kitchen are outdoors. For us this home was a glamorous way to camp! With beds and air conditioning! Thank you for being a great host! We would recommended this property and we would also return!

Peaceful, charming, and secluded.
We had such a great 3 night stay! Yiorgos was a perfect host, great communication before and during our stay to ensure everything went smoothly. Highlisghts of this property for us were: secluded and private, great outdoor spaces (patio, sitting area, shower), short drive to Apollonia and close to port/other activities, comfortable with everything we needed and more, view of the sea is better than the photos and you can hear it each morning as you awake, Yiorgos was one of the best hosts I’ve had- left a sweet little gift, picked some fresh fruit, provided coffee, bottled water, etc). The bed was comfortable, showers provided warm water, and little kitchen (accessed via outdoor patio) was cute and sufficient for our needs. There is a dirt road to access the place that is a bit bumpy, our little rental had a tough time with clearance but it was fine. FYI if you’re renting a car. Possible improvements- WiFi worked well but only in the rooms, which is a shame once you see the outdoor space. Good to know for those who need to access WiFi for work, etc.
