Come relax at the LOBSTER DEN! 7 Night Minimum. Saturday to Saturday.

Home offers 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms upstairs plus pull out sofa in living room.

The house has a very balanced floor plan with ample room to fit all types of family/friend gatherings.

Home is fully furnished, washer, dryer, all kitchen utensils, including pots, pans, all bedding, sheets, towels and all appliances.

Home is located on the ocean side, deep water canal with direct ocean access. Enjoy keys style living while splashing around in the heated pool.

Property has an 80 foot concrete dock to accommodate a boat.

Also included for your enjoyment are kayaks and stand up paddle boards which are great for your mangrove exploration right out front. We are also just minutes from Sombrero State beach and Bahia Honda State Park/Beach. Also located within minutes by boat is the “Sombrero Reef,” which is the home of North Americas only living coral barrier reef and is also the third largest barrier reef in the world. These areas make for some of the best snorkeling and diving throughout the Keys. With just a short paddle in the kayaks these beautiful reefs will be right in your backyard. Though that’s just the beginning as we also include a very large ice machine, filet table, Sonos entertainment system which plays music inside and out, WIFI, barbecue grill and an outdoor dining area designed for privacy, seclusion, and ultimate relaxation. We have life size JENGA and a ring toss for the kids or those that enjoy an adult beverage.

Relax in the hammock while enjoying the beautiful sunrise or reading a book. Fish off the dock for tarpon or watch for the occasional family of manatees.

Parking is available for 5 cars.

There is a $300 cleaning fee as well as a $150 pet cleaning fee if applicable. Small Pets OK.

Very nice for family gathering

My only negative was the security motion lights outside of two sides of the master bedroom. I live in a rural area and any lights at night interrupt my sleep. These security lights were especially annoying. Nice set up for those who have a boat and fish. Very nice pool with ability to heat. Everything worked as expected. For an older home it has been updated very nicely. Would stay again for sure. Can’t wait to visit the Keys again. Manatees in the canal almost daily a big bonus. I broke a beach chair but bought a replacement. Thank you

Lobster Den

The house and beds were very comfortable and the property was as listed on the VRBO site. The pool and outdoor area was very nice. We had manatees visit twice during our stay. Our boys took the kayaks out exploring and fishing in the canal. The location on a quiet street in Marathon is so convenient to grocery shopping, marinas, restaurants. A storm the day before we arrived knocked out the internet, blew leaves into the pool, and the grill was unusable. Our hosts Vin and Sarah were very responsive in getting the internet back up, sent out the pool guy to clean the pool, and replaced the grill with a new one within an hour. We were cooking out that evening. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay.

Convenient and comfortable house

Had a great stay at this property conveniently located in marathon. Short bike to sombrero, rotary park, grocery, shopping and dining. Pool was fantastic. Host was super accommodating and responsive. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, dishes, pantry supplies. Beds are comfy.

Best fishing trip location in Marathon

The house accommodated for all of our guests (12) and everyone had plenty of room to sleep. We were able to have multiple boats on the 80 foot dock and and had many manatees come up every day. We enjoyed the pool everyday and the home owners were quick to respond about the pool temperature. The kitchen was fully furnished with utensils and cooking supplies so we were able to eat in most nights with plenty of dining space inside and out. The home also comes with an area to store boat trailers away from the property allowing for more room in the driveway which was perfect. We loved the Atlantic access only a minute boat ride from the house and we’re able to go to the light house and snorke / fish. There is a fridge upstairs and downstairs along with 2 washers and dryers so enough for everyone. Having the ice machine was very helpful for boat days as well. The Sonos stereo came with indoor and outdoor speakers so music played equally throughout the house if wanted. All in all a great house and would recommend to family and friends 5/5 star.

Great value for a family vacation in the keys!

This is the second time we have stayed at the Lobster Den. We love the location and all the things nearby to do - in fact, we are already talking about coming back to Marathon to finish things still on our "to do list". The Lobster Den has enough space and common areas for our big family. We love the pool and being able to fish and watch for manatees coming through the chanel. Unfortunately, the pool heater was broken and unable to be fixed during our stay, so the water temp was uncomfortable on windy days and cool nights, but we were still able to swim. Also, we got lots and lots of bug bites, so I'd recommend packing bug spray for evenings out back. Overall, we had a great vacation and made more memories at the Lobster Den. Thank you!

Paradise on Marathon

We had a great week long vacation! The location was perfect but then he property was even better. We were pleasantly surprised that the property was fenced in which was perfect for our kids and dog. The pool was heated and the space for a boat and water toys provided for the boat were great! We will absolutely be back!

Great place to stay.

We saw a gator and several manatees in the canal. We had almost no luck fishing in it though. The owners were very responsive. We played on all the toys and games there; kayaks, paddle boards, pool, Jenga, and Cornhole! The ice machine was a wonderful help so we could take our coolers with us wherever we went. There are 2 washers and dryers, so there was no problem getting the laundry done while there and in advance for the house cleaner! The house has a few hiccups, but nothing that would keep me from renting it again. The sliding glass door leaks when heavy rain. The only entrance to the upstairs where the kitchen and family room are is outside, so you must get wet to get upstairs when raining. There was also an ant issue. Regardless of those minor issues, we had a wonderful vacation and the house was great! I would definitely recommend it to others!

Lobster Den Getaway

We loved our stay at Lobster Den! We had two families of 5 and we had plenty of room. Our kids absolutely loved having places to hang out whether they were downstairs or up and there was no shortage of stuff to do. We brought one boat with us and rented a second for our stay and there was plenty of room for both a 20 and 24 foot boat on the dock. It was just easy and perfectly located for what we needed. Our hosts were extremely responsive although we didn't need them for our stay, they were wonderful!

Great vacation in Marathon!

What an incredible home! We enjoyed our selves and couldn’t have picked a better spot! The house was perfect for 8 aldults. Location is ideal! Sarah was so responsive. Highly recommended this house!

Great stay

Sarah and Vinny are very helpful and eager to remedy any issue. The grill was broken and a new one was promptly delivered the next morning. Well equipped for a rental, cold A/C and great use of the space in and out. Tight parking but and narrow street but there is offsite trailer parking so not an issue. Huge seas all week with limited time on the water but still had fun.

A Wonderful Family Vacation

We had a wonderful week at the Lobster Den. There is so much to do at the house with the pool and channel right in your back door. Also, the home is well located in Marathon with plenty of activities and restaurants within a 5-10 minute drive. Our hosts were responsive and easy to work with. House and owners were very nice. We could have used more guidance with operating instructions of equipment. But really are only issue was the smell of the canal which the owners can’t control Perhaps it should be mentioned however in the write up of the property

Great Place

We stayed here with 4 families. Amazing place, perfectly located, near everything, stores, restaurants, 1hr drive to Key West. Very clean, heated pool was amazing, kids didn't get out :) The owner is super responsive. Everything was great. One small not, one bedroom is a walk thru from both sides, it doesnt have its own entrance.

Wonderful place

The Lobster Den was amazing. The location is great. Being able to take the kayaks and paddle boards out was a great relaxation after working. The owners were great and easy to work with. I give this a 15 on a scale of 1-10
