A great stay in a great city

My wife and I recently spent a month in this lovely house. The house is well furnished, well supplied, and very nicely decorated. The furniture is new and comfortable. We hosted a dinner for 6 and all the kitchen equipment needed was in the house. An added bonus for this house over other properties we have rented in the past is the weekly cleaning and replacement of the towels and linens. The owner and property manager know how to do rental right. In addition to the house itself, the local neighborhood is a winner. Lots to see and do within walking distance and easy access by car or public transportation to much of what San Diego has to offer. A real vacation!

Delightful cottage, nice quiet neighborhood convenient to everything

Jennifer's units are a delight. Nicely furnished and appointed. Can walk to bars restaurants and there is a mini-Target-CVS within three blocks. Target has grocery items so a car here is really not required. Reminds us of houses we grew up in with pull out cutting board etc. Will highly recommend to the folks coming to stay in San Diego. Because of our daughter's cancer treatment had to extend our stay which Jennifer kindly let us do on a day to day basis. If available as we visit our daughter over the next several months we will try to stay here again. Entire set up is just great and accommodating a rescue dog was a major plus. Unit has a smart washer-dryer which tells you level etc and so quiet you could sleep with it going

Bad chemical odor

Appeared clean and tidy though the umbrella on front patio was broken, the screening on front door was damaged, and the front door key code bad malfunctioned. Upon entering the unit we noticed a chemical odor presumably from air freshener which did not abate enough to stay in the property. The owner offered to visit the property on Day 3 of our scheduled 4 day stay to assess having advised opening windows, using fans or AC. None of these helped in a period of 6 hours, so we relocated to a hotel the first night. We do not suffer from any unusual allergies but the smell was so unpleasant we could not stay there. We feel the property should have been ready for us upon our arrival.

Perfect South Park Vacation!

This is simply the perfect South Park location for enjoying a car-free vacation. We walked to local eateries & rode bikes to Balboa Park & Coronado. The unit is extremely clean & bright and the owner is responsive. We had everything we needed. 😍

Loved it

Had a great time, place was big enough for the 2 of us and our dog Bella. Had two small issues that were taken care of asap! Very appreciative of that. Would love to stay there again if you will have us!

Best Part of San Diego

I just finished a temporary work assignment in San Diego for the summer and am so happy to have found this gem. We loved staying in South Park, and Jennifer and Diana were gracious and accommodating hosts. For a one bedroom rental, I was surprised with how spacious and light everything was. There are so many wonderful places to explore walking around this nice residential neighborhood. The rental is close enough to downtown to go to a baseball game or have a night out, but far enough from the hustle and bustle so you can relax. Coronado Beach is only 15min away, and you are conveniently located near all of the major freeways to explore anything and everything that San Diego has to offer. I am lucky enough to be moving to San Diego and will recommend that my friends and family stay at one of Jennifer's properties when they come to visit. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

Charming, quaint and extremely clean duplex in a delightful neighborhood.

This property is superior. It is extremely clean, well stocked and very comfortable. My wife and I stayed with our two dogs for nearly a week. We loved the neighborhood, the many amazing restaurants within walking distance and the dog park just down the street.

Great cottage close to restaurants and cafes

We loved our stay in this little cottage. Everything was clean and well maintained. The decor was lovely. There were welcome beers in the fridge, which was much appreciated :). Short walk to a couple of great restaurants and cafes. The Zoo and the museums in Balboa part were just a few minutes' drive away, and it was also a relatively short drive to Mission Beach, Coronado, and other great areas in San Diego. We felt super comfortable in the cottage, and it was nice to have laundry on the premises as well. A really great deal!

Something new and different

San Diego tends to conjure up images of Mission Bay, Seaport Village, Sea World, etc. But there's another world north of Market Street that's definitely worth exploring. The South Park neighborhood is just east of Balboa Park and contains an eclectic mix of architectural styles, including the 40's style duplex that includes Nature's Palette. The owner has done a great job of upgrading the unit without losing the charm that makes these kinds of places so fun to stay in. It's perfect for an extended weekend stay. The kitchen allows for light cooking duties, but with all the restaurants within walking distance (Station Tavern and Cafe Madeleine were my faves) and within 10 minutes by car, you may not need to cook at all. Comfortable bed and pull-out sofa bed, lovely patio in front, quiet neighborhood, easy walking - this is a terrific home base for your San Diego getaway!

Pretty Nice

It is a cute little house that is part of a triplex. My biggest complaint would be the kitchen. There isn't a fan or hood over the stove and when cooking the lack of ventilation was overwhelming at times. The kitchen also did not have a mixing bowl, a silicone spatula, or a cheese plane which made cooking a bit tricky. Other than that the house was perfect and fulfilled all of our needs. I would recommend the house and would stay here again next time I am in San Diego. The neighborhood is great for walking around. We tried many of the restaurants within walking distance and found them all to be quite good. I was attending a conference at the convention center and found the number 2 bus close and convenient. The location is also great for going to Balboa Park.
