Mountain Lodge

The cabin is nicely appointed ; it is very dark inside, needs artificial light all day; the photos show a bright living room and kitchen, but that is not so ; the refrigerator was full of food and beverages therefor leaving lesser space for the guest; the kitchen cabinets were also full of stuff ; the location of the cabin is quite isolated and there is no place to walk with a dog except on the street ; for those reasons I shall not rent the house again,

Exceptional house and property

This house was exactly what we were looking for. We felt as if we were staying at the home of friends! You can tell that they are all about family. It is very quiet and comfortable. The communication with Marshall was outstanding, which made our stay all the more enjoyable. The home is extremely nice, clean, and very well-stocked with all the essentials. The view of the golf course and mountain across the way was so pretty and very relaxing to view from the wonderful “mountain room,” or the deck. We absolutely plan to return!

Family vacation

We arrived earlier than expected and Marshall accommodated us with no issues. The home was clean, comfortable and beautiful. Of course the mountain room was our favorite spot! We spent most of our time there playing the board games readily available. It was easy to feel right at home. Very grateful that we got to enjoy our time there and were hoping to visit again.

Mountain View Vacation

Will definitely be returning to this little slice of heaven. The home was beautiful, clean, and provided everything we needed to make our vacation perfect! Beautiful house and view

We were there for a family wedding in October. The house was beautiful and very well equipped. It was nice to get up every morning and to see how the leaves had changed overnight from the view of the mountain room.

Lovely home

Lovely home in the mountains of North Carolina. Road to the house is narrow and windy but worth the trip up! Owner and property manager very helpful with any issues.

Worth the trip

Blackberry Cottage is just exactly what it says it is and more. What they don't tell you is that it is perched on a hill with a family room that fells like you are in a tree house. The house is well appointed with more amenities than other places I have rented. The host was quick to answer any questions. My family arrived from different locations to attend a wedding so our stay was rather short, but we all agreed we wished we had the time to extend our stay. Hope to visit again to explore this beautiful region.

Nice Mountain House

The house is nice and cozy. We had a nice view of the golf course and mountains. The house was supplied with everything that we needed. The property manager was helpful and was quick to respond. We had a great time and would stay here again.

Love, love, LOVE the Mountain Room

We spent a relaxing week at Blackberry cottage. It was just what we hoped for, a refreshing getaway! The house is well appointed and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. As others have stated, we felt like we were in a home, not a rental property. We spent the majority of our time in the Mountain Room. It’s like being in a treehouse! We arrived just after a major winter storm. David was kind enough to call before we were scheduled to arrive to let us know he would check on the house to make sure everything was ok. He was available throughout our stay to answer questions. We hope to make this an annual getaway!

Welcoming Home With Stunning View

Relax and refresh your mind, body and soul in this beautiful one level mountain home. The mountain room is a truly peaceful space to start and end the day. We took several rides in the area to see the fall color and waterfalls. We enjoyed meals in some of the local restaurants. And Ingles is close by for our picnicking needs. Wonderful trip!!

Spectacular View

We loved, the view, the piano, the comfortable beds, full kitchen, location, and ammenities. I would recommend direct tv for when there is a rainy day and someone might want to watch news or sports. The house is a gem and offered us a lovely vacation.

Perfect Getaway in Sapphire

We stayed here 2 years ago during the first year of the pandemic and loved it so much we booked early to be assured of our dates this year in June. The house is very cozy and inviting like you are visiting a friend's house. The outdoor deck is fabulous for afternoon and evening happy hour and dinner. The Mountain Room is great for TV and board games. All of the kitchen items are there to prepare your own meals so you don't need to find a restaurant. We hope to be back next year.

Could never thank them enough

I purchased a business in the area & drove from ca with my dogs. My Porsche Cayenne broke down the following day & let me tell you no rental car barely towing. The listing Adgent actually loaned me his Mercedes! I would of been had without these wonderful people. I hope the owners will vist my business with their dogs so i can return the favor! Definitely a fantastic stay! I am moved into my new property now and were all still friends!

Nice Location.

Very nice comfortable house with all the amenities you will need. The weather was at times cold & we enjoyed the gas fireplace. The driveway is paved & level which is nice when so many driveways are up or down steep hills. The location is convenient & less than a 10 min drive to Cashiers. Enjoyed the great view from the very comfortable "Mountain Room". David was helpful & always quick to respond. We enjoyed our 3 week stay.

Lovely Cashiers House With Great Views, Nice Neighborhood, Fully Stocked

We stayed here before we went on to another rental & we are frequent travelers to the area. The house is very nice, has been updated and there is room for people to spread out in different living areas but we tended to stay in the “sunroom” which looked out to the golf course & was surrounded with views because of all the windows. Definitely the heart of the house! The kitchen had everything you could want, even the bathrooms and closets had one of everything. The house doesn’t have a “rustic cabin” type of style, which was fine for us but I know sometimes people look for a more mountain woodsy vibe. All of the furnishings in the house are top quality. The kitchen was easy to cook in, there was a fireplace in a separate large living space and there was a nice sized patio area with a grill outside the sun room. The WiFi worked so-so, but if you’re familiar with the area, that’s very common. It was an easy quick drive to downtown Cashiers and Sapphire and about 15 minutes to downtown Highlands, Asheville will take you about an hour & a half. We had neighbors around but they don’t seem on top of you. The Master had a Queen & was very comfy. All the beds were comfortable with lovely bedding but the room with the two twin beds & the other room with the full/Queen? bed were squeaky. Heating and AC worked very well. The 3 bedrooms are in the same area of the house. One bathroom is in the Master, which was nice & the other bathroom that people staying in the other two bedrooms would use, was down a short hallway. The washer/dryer were conveniently located in the kitchen area. The house is obviously well appointed and money has been put into it with its furnishings, the location is great- if we had a complaint it would only be the cleanliness. I believe there is a house manager & I’m sorry to say if they’re responsible for having the house cleaned, I don’t think they’re doing their job very well. The beds were all made but other than that, none of us were sure it had been cleaned before our arrival. There was a lot of food in the refrigerator, which was nice but some of it was spoiled and we quickly realized the smell was coming from garbage that hadn’t been emptied in the kitchen and from the spoiled food in the refrigerator. It really needs a deep clean. It also should be cleaned between guests, but cleanliness is a thing for me. Host was fast to respond & easy to work with. If it gets new cleaning standards, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Cozy cabin - perfect for family vacations

Thank you Marshall for letting us stay at your family cabin. We spend beautiful days in the nature. My daughters loved it. The family room is the heart of the house and swings under the cabin made our day! We definitely are coming back!! 100% recommendable
