Could Not Find the Place
I arrived late after dark and the destination / address listed was not where my confirmation said - despite a new GPS in a new Ford Ranger then google maps on my phone - I simply could not find the place. Signage needs to be improved off the main road- I actually can’t say if the place actually exists! I wouldn’t mind a refund or a credit to stay another time. I had to drive 40 Km away to get into a motel to get to my son at Puckapunyal the next day for a March out. Really disappointed 😢

I was hesitant about booking this place due to some bad reviews regarding dogs. After being stuck in my car for 25 minutes due to an aggressive dog not letting me out of the vehicle, I was right to question whether this place was right for me.

Lovely location
Lovely location spectacular view. If it was not for having to try user away a dog 1 of 3 from around the tinny house would have been nice. Dog was a pest could not be out side with out he dog sitting with us trying to get our food. Don’t get me wrong all lovely friendly dogs but when your paying very high prices you expect to be able to sit out and enjoy with out having the farm dogs hanging around you. Well over priced .

About the host

Hosted by Tiny Away

Host profile image
Seven Hills is a working farm and it gives guests the opportunity to see how farm animals are raised. The farm has more over 1500 goats, pet chickens, turkeys, pigs, and sheep. In addition, the farm's rivers and dams hold yabbies and fish. At night it turns into a nocturnal wildlife park.

There's plenty to do at the farm for our guests looking for that "farm stay" visit, especially for our younger guests, such as our chickens and pet pigs and collecting freshly laid eggs in the morning.

During the winter months, our guests tend to enjoy joining us for cutting wood, burning off and then joining us for a camp fire and a beer at the end of the day.

Or if you want to come, relax and leave the stress of the city behind, then it's also the perfect place for you too, with 360 degree views, overlooking Seymour, Kilmore, Broadford and Puckapunyal.

We have two kilometres of Sunday Creek to enjoy - walk, fish or yabbie we have rods and yabbie nets available if needed. We have ten kilometres of roads on the property which showcase incredible views looking over the Tallarook State Forrest and Mount Piper.

We can take you 4WD and guided quad bike tours and organise a skeet shoot these come at additional charges. We have a PA system available for our guest to rent out at an additional charge.

Why they chose this property

Seven Hills Tallarook is located 100km from Melbourne’s CBD which only one hour's drive by car via the Hume Highway, or about the same distance by train. Prior arrangement can be made for a member of the Seven Hills Team to pick you up from Tallarook Train Station. Tallarook is on the Seymour line which leaves the regional area of Southern Cross Railway Station almost hourly.

Driving directions from Melbourne
Head North up the Hume Highway for approximately 100km. Turn Left into Sharps and Taylors Road, which is just after the “Tallarook Exit 2km” sign. Do not go into Tallarook township. (if using a GPS, please don’t allow it to take you through Dockery’s Rd, there is no access through here). Follow this road for about 2km and then turn left into Scott’s Road (sign posted for Seven Hills Farm). Follow the Road to the end, pass through 2 gates and follow the driveway to the right. (Please note, the road surface is not suitable to those in two-wheel drive. If in doubt, please take the road to the left, follow it to the top of the hill and do a dog leg to the right and follow the road and proceed up the hill towards the buildings in front, which is the homestead). Our tiny house is situated to the left of the sheds, visible from entry at the top gate.
