We had a lovely stay the week after Labor Day! This is a cute house, equipped with everything we needed, in a great location (two blocks from the beach - a few more blocks from Rehoboth Ave). Couldn't ask for more.
This is a great place! We loved it and plan to stay again next summer. Really close to the beach. The cottage is clean and bright, perfectly furnished, and equipped with everything you need. The owner is nice, great with communication and really helpful.
Loved the neighborhood! A short walk to the beach and restaurants. The house wonderful. I loved a bit of classic Rehoboth. The yard was great and bunnies came by to say hello every day. Great location for walks. This was the best way to visit the beach. Highly recommend this property!
The cottage exceeded expectations with its two bedrooms, one full bathroom and one half bath, plus outdoor shower stall, living room, dining room, well-appointed kitchen, enclosed front porch, and back yard with gas grill, beach chairs, beach umbrella, and bicycles provided in storage building. This is a lovely property with nice shrubbery to provide privacy out back. It's two blocks from the beach and boardwalk near the south end of Rehoboth but within easy walking distance of many restaurants. Almost too many charms to list. The host is gracious and attentive. Highly recommended. I will return.
The house is small (as describedin the listing), but somehow it all works really well. Charles, the owner, was great with communication and very helpful. The amenities were surprisingly complete. Each time one of us asked, "I wonder if there's a....", we found what we were looking for! It was a great trip and I would definitively stay there again! I recommend sitting on the cozy enclosed porch, sipping coffee, and watching the joggers, cyclists, and dogs go by!
I stayed with my partner and my younger sister. We couldn't have asked for a better home to stay in. It was the perfect size. Comfortably slept the three of us and could accommodate up to 3 more. This house is only two blocks from the beach. Its also the perfect distance from main street, its a nice short walk to get there but far enough away from the hustle bustle giving this house a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. In addition, your only a couple blocks from Silver Lake, lending to gorgeous views and a lovely place to ride your bike. I couldnt have asked for a better stay!

Great Location - Never Updated and Dirty
My family and I were excited to spend some time away at this tiny cottage. When we arrived, almost everything was broken or falling apart (things were taped together, door locks barely worked, etc). It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in several weeks. I had to vacuum immediately upon arrival and wipe down the floors and tabletops. The lights flickered, the vacuum was held together by tape, the kitchen was full of very old and expired groceries, etc. It was uncomfortable to say it lightly.
We had a good time staying at this property. The location is amazing if you’re looking to walk to the beach. The fact that we strictly weren’t allowed to have any guests when we were specifically in town visiting family made it hard with planning since we always had to go to them, even though there’s a wonderful seating area outback and front where we could’ve easily hung out. It was awkward having to explain to family members that they couldn’t stop by for a visit due to these rules. I will also say that there is not really anywhere to sit comfortably other than the front porch area if you’re looking for a solid living area to lounge. There’s only a futon and it does not face the tv. There’s also a couple of other chairs that are similar to waiting room chairs in the living room. We did enjoy the kitchen table area where we could work on our laptops in the beautiful natural light. Aside from those little things, and having to bring your own towels/pillowcases/sheets, it’s wonderful if you’re wanting somewhere to sleep that’s close to the beach!

Great location, but that's where it ends.
The house basically has had very little done to it in regards to up-keep or updating. What has been updated, was done in the cheapest way possible, like peel and stick flooring tiles in the bathroom that were coming up, and closeout bin products everywhere else.
Broken closer on back door that was a danger to walk by because it was just hanging on the bracket that holds it and swinging freely because it was detached from the door completely. Window Air conditioners that were horribly loud, and the one in the living room barely cooled the room.
Uncomfortable IKEA furnishings throughout.
For what I paid for this place, I could have stayed at the breakers and been supplied sheets and towels with housekeeping service.
To finish on a positive note - It was really convenient to get to Poodle Beach!
My husband, I, and our 4 year old daughter enjoyed our stay. The location was amazing for walking to the beach, the playground, and into town. The porch was a nice place to eat. We very much appreciated the original charm of beautiful windows in the dining area/kitchen, and how well stocked the kitchen was. Our only real complaint would be how loud the house could be, between the dishwasher and the window units. We couldn't sleep at night with the window units on, so we had to leave the bedroom doors open and hope the living room unit air would drift in. Beds were a bit hard for us.
We very much appreciated the parking passes, as well as the access to goodies in the shed (beach chairs, sand toys, etc.). It's nice to see a smaller house that isn't a mega rental, it would just benefit from a few small updates. Overall, our family had a great time! Charles was very responsive and made us very comfortable with check in and staying at the property.
Sweet small cottage that makes the most of its space
We'll stay here again if possible--the small cottage is decorated with style, and the window air conditioners do a good job of making things comfortable during late-summer Delaware days (the one in living room could benefit from updating). The Norfolk Street beach entrance is superbly located between the end of the boardwalk and the main boardwalk attractions. The owner was *immediately* responsive when needed, which is a great comfort. We brought mosquito coils with us for outdoors based on a previous review, but we are pleased to report that even amid a lot of rain, the outside was not at all buggy, so though it's good to be prepared, please don't let that review prevent you from making use of this sweet little space
We loved our stay! A sweet little house perfect for our little family. The kitchen was perfect and the grounds were so pretty. We also really appreciated the location. Everything was walkable! The washer dryer was especially handy with two little kids.
The gnats and mosquitoes around the property kept us from spending any time in the yard. The good news is it's less a five-minute walk to a magnificent beach and boardwalk.
We had a lovely time relaxing in Rehoboth Beach. The house was as described. It is a nice cottage conveniently located to the beach and downtown.

Late summer long weekend
We love Rehoboth and are frequent visitors. This property is close to the beach and an easy walk to town. That said, it’s very small, VERY BUGGY, and not a place you can make big family meals and enjoy sitting outside in the evening (unless bugs don’t bother you). It’s nice that they provide beach chairs, toys, and a grill. But I’d trade them all for no mosquitos in the house and clean dishes. We moved houses this trip after our stay here (planned) and had 5 bedroom (CLEAN) home 3 blocks further from the beach for $100 cheaper/night.
This cottage is perfectly located in a quiet residential area away from the condos and crowds, but close to everything you'd want. It's walking distance to the beach, but we always drove and found parking on the beach block. Great restaurants and the boardwalk are just a 10 min. walk away. The owner, Charles, is very responsive and gave us clear instructions and helpful information to make our stay stress-free. We're a couple with one young child and no one had any complaints.
