We call this our Brendan Behan studio named after the infamous poet and novelist.
Refurbished to an extremely high standard this Victorian apartment has all the classic charm of years gone by but has all the modern comforts of today.
A beautifully bright apartment it has a bay window overlooking the city of Dublin with wonderful views of the mountains and surrounding area.
We have maintained some of the original features such as the marble fireplace and the high ceilings with coving. This gives a feeling of space and airiness that is hard to find in modern accommodations.
All of our apartments are fully equipped with microwave, cooker, fridge, iron, ironing board and hairdryer to make sure that your stay is as comfortable as can be.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the utensils you would need for self catering and we provide freshly laundered bed linen and towels.
Laundry facilities are available also to guests that need it.
Maps information and leaflets are provided in the apartment to help guests choose the best sights and things to do and see while staying there.
There is an excellent bus service right outside the front door so you can reach downtown in 10 minutes or less. Buses run regularly and are reliable. We suggest getting a Leap card to make life easier as most buses require exact change.
We are just a 3 minute walk from 2 major supermarkets and there is also a pharmacy & medical centre all local so you will have everything you need.
There are some lovely restaurants just 10 minute walks away and some wonderful pubs that play Irish music nightly.
Locally
The famous Guinness Storehouse is close at hand as well as the Jameson Distillery both of which run tours regularly and are worth a visit. Dublin is also renowned for it's famous Temple bar area for entertainment which is a bus ride away.
For art lovers the Irish Museum of Modern Art is 15 minutes away and the National Museum of Ireland is 10 minutes away.
The local area of Stoneybatter has been voted one of Europe's coolest neighbourhoods with cafes, coffee shops and unique little shops all within easy reach.
Trinity College, Kilmainham Gaol, Ryan's Victorian Pub, St. Patricks Cathedral, are just some other of the many wonderful attractions that are easily reached.
If you enjoy a stroll in the park then you are perfectly located to visit the beautiful Phoenix Park which has a playground and houses Dublin Zoo. It is well worth a visit and is only an 10 minute walk away. Bike hire is available here also.
For a small fee we can provide an airport transfer if requested and for anyone hiring a car there is free on street parking right outside the house.
All utilities and WiFi are included in the price also.

GUEST ACCESS
This studio is completely self contained so guests don't have to share facilities with anyone.
All utilitities, Wifi and parking are provided in the price so no nasty hidden extras. Laundry facilities available at no extra cost in a communal laundry area located outside at the back of the house.
There is an excellent bus service that runs right by the house and is frequent and reliable.
Airport transfer available upon request for a fee.
Bike hire in the Phoenix Park which is just 8 minutes walk away.
Key safe available for guests arriving late at night/early in the morning.
THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
This is a residential area and our property is located on a beautifully tree lined which runs right up the the entrance of the Phoenix Park. This park is the largest urban park in Europe and houses Dublin Zoo and the presidential home and offices as well as a children's playground. It is a wonderful park to visit and spans over 1750 acres.
The street also has beautiful Victorian red bricked houses all along it which date back to the 18th century so it really is a taste of old Dublin.
There are 2 major supermarkets just 3 minutes walk as well as a pharmacy, coffee shops, bars, restaurants and many other amenities all within easy walking distance.
GETTING AROUND
There are several bus routes right outside the house which will take you directly to the city centre in less than 10 minutes. The 46A is a bus that stops right outside the house and will take you straight into the city. Buses are regular and reliable and we suggest getting a Leap card to make paying fares a little easier.
You can walk to the centre of Dublin as well in approx 30 minutes.
We are just a few minutes from the light rail system called "The Luas" which services the outer regions of Dublin if you plan on exploring outside of the city centre.
Heuston Train station is approx 10 minutes by car and Connolly Station is approx 25 minutes by car.
Taxis can be arranged upon request and if you need an airport transfer we can arrange this also for a fee.
