About this property

One Particular Harbour- amazing views, pool, a/c, privacy!

One Particular Harbour is a unique villa that was carved out of a steep mountainside in 2004. This 3-level home is bordered by tropical flowers, lush vegetation and tall stonewalls and take maximum advantage of the fantastic views and the privacy of this quiet setting. From the parking area you ascend tiled stairs to the top floor, which houses the kitchen, dining and living rooms and half bath, plus a large wraparound covered deck with truly spectacular and exciting views. Interior and exterior stairs take you down to the two equal sized, air-conditioned bedrooms and a large wraparound private deck on the second level. The third air-conditioned bedroom and private patio deck are on the lower (ground) level and are accessed by exterior stairs. Every room of this home has a spectacular view, and every bed looks out the islands that stretch below you as far as the eye can see.
The pool and the sun deck were also carved out of the mountainside and are located beside the house. Like the villa, the pool and sundeck enjoy a fantastic view along with clothing optional privacy.
To get to One Particular Harbour you drive from Cruz Bay to Coral Bay and then make a steep climb up about 900 feet, almost to the top of the mountain ridge that towers over Coral Bay Harbor. Once you reach your villa you’ll immediately turn to the east, utter the word “wow”, and then gaze for a few minutes at the beauty that lies before you. The views are spellbinding as they sweep for more than 60 miles from the northern hills surrounding Coral Bay, over Coral Bay Harbor, Hurricane Hole and the East End of St. John to Tortola, Norman, Peter, Salt, Cooper, Ginger, Virgin Gorda, and the other fabled islands of the British Virgin Islands.
Coral Bay, which is on the eastern side of St. John is St. John’s “other” community. It is a colorful, very laid back and friendly small town. The name Coral Bay also refers to the neighborhood that surrounds the waters of St. John’s largest bay (Coral Bay)
From One Particular Harbor, the dazzling National Park beaches at Salt Pond Bay and Lameshur Bay are a 15-minute drive, and it’s a very scenic 25-30 minute drive over Bordeaux Mountain into Cruz Bay. For groceries, restaurants, bars and evening entertainment in the Coral Bay area, it’s a 5-10 minute drive on paved roads.

The living room is furnished with comfortable quality wicker furniture and is equipped with a Sony cable TV and a stereo/CD. Recessed and screened sliding glass doors disappear into wall pockets to allow a totally unobstructed view from anywhere on the top floor.
One Particular Harbour offers a choice of interior or exterior dining. Inside an expandable mahogany table seats up to 8 in the dining area of the upper level, while outside your dining table seats 6 under a covered deck that offers remarkable views at any hour of the day or evening.
The handsome kitchen is well-equipped with mahogany cabinets and tiled countertops, a stainless steel four-burner gas stove and oven, s/s refrigerator/freezer, s/s microwave, s/s dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, blender, cookware, dinnerware and a telephone. A washer/dryer is located on the 2nd level.
All three bedrooms are air-conditioned and all have tiled baths and showers, cable TV, telephones and exterior decks. The lower level bedroom is somewhat larger and has a 4-poster mahogany (queen) bed. The 2 bedrooms on the second level are equal sized and one has a mahogany (queen) bed and the other bedroom has 2 twin beds that do notconvert to a king bed.

You’ll appreciate this well-appointed and tasteful 3-bedroom villa, but it’s the views and peaceful location that really set it apart. The view looks right down the Sir Francis Drake Channel. During the day scores of distant sailboats move slowly between blue seas and green islands, and at night the lights of Tortola, Peter Island, and Virgin Gorda twinkle off in the distance. This is really a lovely and quite romantic setting with what is view, certainly one of the best views in Coral Bay.
The 3-level design of One Particular Harbour offers very good privacy for 2-3 couples, while the two adjoining bedrooms on the 2nd floor are good for a family with children. The upper deck is well above ground level but the tight railings on all 3 levels provide good safety for children. One Particular Harbor’s spectacular location, privacy and refined furnishings also give this villa a romantic essence that makes this a great choice for honeymooners, lovers and couples.
There are at least five restaurants in the Coral Bay area that are well worth a visit, plus smaller take eateries. There are also two small grocery stores, and numerous small shops with interesting crafts, souvenirs and specialty items, all within a 5-10 min
drive. Many people who visit St. John stay on the Cruz Bay side of the island and wonder, would I enjoy a villa in Coral Bay. Thousands of people have answered that question with a very strong "yes" and we bet you would also enjoy this unique slice of St. John

Fun vacation
My brother’s family from Tahoe had never been to the Caribbean, they LOVED St John! Villa was perfect except for spotty WiFi, I didn’t care about that. Utility work on Rt 108 blocked access for a couple hours one day, work appears to be done. Villa very well stocked with beach chairs, etc.

Great view
The location and view from the house are amazing. Spent mornings and evenings on the upper deck enjoying the view and breezes. 5 mins into Coral Bay and about 25 mins to the North Shore beaches, which was okay with us as we wanted to be on the quiet side of the island. The only suggestion we have is that the house is really in need of new linens. The ones there are old and were very worn and stained - a bit gross. This may be the rental company more than the house itself though. The house is a bit rustic and we had a few really large ones in the house, but you are in the middle of a National park, so likely to be expected. The air conditioning in the bedrooms works well and the rest of the house stayed comfortable with the breezes.

Spectacular view for the brave
Wonderful vacation. Very nice villa with spectacular views. few minor water issues that were quickly rectified by very responsive management. It a bit of a task to get to (extraordinary climb) so don't recommend for senior drivers. But when you get there its an amazing view. Great breeze to keep you cool even in July when we went. Definitely recommend use a Rav 4 not a jeep they handle better up the climb and narrow road. Keep in 1st and 2nd gear going up.

Amazing Stay!!!!
The One Particular Harbor property exceed our expectations. Well maintained property with amazing views. The property have everything you would need for indoor dining and outdoor activities. The drive up to the house was a little exciting the first time but after that is was no problem. Location made for easy access to all parts of the island. Highly recommend this property. Would plan to stay there again when we return to St. John for another vacation.

Amazing views... driveway is not for the faint o heart!
The property is everything it claims and more! Beach chairs, towels, every kitchen gadget and more. The views are spectacular at any time of the day... the only drawback was the drive up to the house and the final mail biting experience of going strait up the driveway. Luckily my husband is an experienced driver and up to the challenge (as long as it was not raining!). Highly recommend 4 wheel drive for this stay and not the minivan we named Bessie! At this time of year be flexible for meals out or call for reservations weeks in advance for places in Cruz Bay or eat local down the hill and not worry about town! We will definitely be back!!!

We rented in order to supervise and work on our own nearby house which was damaged by Hurricane Irma.

Amazing views and villa! Perfect getaway!
All I can say is 'WOW'!!!! If you want to stay at a property that has an absolutely amazing view, this home is it!! My husband and I were looking for a private getaway and we could not have found a more perfect spot! The last portion of the drive is all up hill and the last part is pretty steep but it is well worth it! Shawn, our greeter told us at one point the road was dirt, which I could not imagine doing, unless you like off road adventures but luckily for us it is all paved now! Our favorite spot at the house is the deck off the living room. We just sat there taking in the views, the sounds of the Caribbean and just relaxed! We had a couple of days where we just stayed in and did nothing! Home has a well stocked kitchen so preparing a meal was easy! We did venture out exploring....loved Lampshur bay....fun exploring the ruin and Francis Bay and Maho were our favorites! The locals are great...friendly and welcoming....made us feel right at home! We will be back...thank you to the owner and Caribbean Villas. This was out first time going through a manager and I have to say, it really was nice to know there was someone there to help if we needed them. Will work with them again!!
