Excellent place to stay

We love this house, love the energy and vibe. Clean, organized so well, easy to stay here. Has everything we need, close to whatever you need. Food, boating, activities. Recommend highly and we plan to come back soon!

Such a peaceful stay, just what we needed!

We walked into this house and immediately all took a breath, it exceeded our expectations. First, the view from every room is incredible. Second, we can say enough about how neat clean and organized the house is. We realize the care and time you put into making sure everything was labeled (thank you!). The house was as just what we needed for a family of four and the convenience to local sights was perfect. We plan to return and breathe easy, thank you for an incredible family getaway!

great location. very nice house

we booked this house for a ski weekend at Wisp and the location was great. only took five minutes to get to the ski resort and the house was clean and well stocked. If it is a snowy season you might want 4 Wheel Dr. because the parking is tight and there are hills to get to the house but we had no problem. Even with a minivan they do plow and salt the roads well. It was a great house with everything we needed and the basement area is perfect for kids and fun. Highly recommend

New Years Eve

Excellent location and view. House was well stocked and comfortable fir 3 couples with children. Parking is kind of limited. We had trouble getting and keeping the hot tun at temperature. We also had some issues with the wifi.

An Exceptionally Pleasing Experience

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What a neat vacation home! My oldest son & his wife who work overseas were visiting us. We normally go to OBX but their shorter than usual stay prompted us to consider DCL because we wanted a change in venue & the travel time for us was much less. We had considered several homes in DCL all of which were well appointed/equipped but the tie breaker for us was the expansive view of the lake presented in the online photos--we chose correctly--the view from the deck is absolutely invigorating! The home's interior (spotless, fully equipped & in good repair) is tastefully & cleverly appointed throughout with the natural theme of the DCL area. The owner & the property manager have gone to great lengths to make any visit as problem-free, comfortable, & enjoyable as possible. Despite the poor weather conditions (considerable rain each day) that somewhat limited participation in the many outdoor activities available here, we had a wonderful time & the best part of that was time in this home. We'll be back again!

Next time we decide to rent, we would love to stay longer. We had an experience with a bear outside our door early Sunday morning. He made a mess with all the garbage. We got some pictures. The weather wasn't the best but we still had a wonderful short vacation.

All Wheel Drive Required in Winter

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house is st the top of a steep winding road which was very icy the day we arrived. We were unaware of this and our car could not get up the hill. Luckily our fri did had a four wheel drive vehicle which we could use. Without use of our car, it was a stressful few days. Other than that it is a nice property with a nice shopping center close by.

House was nice but had a couple issues

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we got there the keyless entry was broke, we had to have maintenance come out, they couldn’t get in and had to break in while we all stood outside the house. We finally got in and there was no hot water- we had to lite the hot water tank and it still took hours then would hardly get hot. Had to take cold showers, couldn’t use the hot tube and every time we plugged something into the one room up stairs we would blow a fuse and have to go flip the breaker. I sent an email Saturday to the rental company and never heard back. No one followed up with the problems. The house was nice- it’s not private like the pictures show- you have no back yard and the front is a small hill then a road.

This was one of the few that was not connected to any other building. It was at the end of the street so fairly private. Everything in good condition and very clean and well stocked. We enjoyed it and may be back next year.

A wonderful property

New Year Weekend at Waves N' Moguls

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We decided at the last moment to spend the New Year in Deep Creek. This home was available and had the capacity to accommodate us. The home has a wonderful overlook of the lake and was available once we got there. My issues are there were mice trappings all around the home especially noticeable ones placed in the kitchen. Low and behold there were several droppings in the closets and the storage drawer underneath the stove. As disgusting as that is; that's not the worst. A dead mouse was left on top of the hot tub. When the call was placed to the rental company; she had the audacity to ask if we wouldn't mind moving it. My issue is not with the mice, its the fact that the home was not cleaned appropriately prior to taking occupancy. After we requested, someone did arrive an hour later to clean the droppings and remove the mouse. Also, the stove takes forever to get hot. The least of your worries if you dare to rent this property.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family really enjoyed our stay at Deep Creek. The house was very nice and centrally located for everything we planned to do. The only drawback was the internet. It didn't work most of the time even after someone came to check it. It would have been useful in locating restaurants, etc. This wasn't too much of an issue for the adults but my grandson was not happy. This should be stated in the house description that internet is very spotty.
