Guest bedroom features new Queen mattress and walk-out entry to the sun deck. Kitchen features ALL NEW stainless steel appliances, granite countertops with breakfast bar. The enclosed attached 1-car garage with epoxy floor is INCLUDED with your rental! (Please note the garage has a fairly narrow openeing, cars and most midsize/crossover SUV's fit no problem, but a large SUV or truck may not fit in the garage. The door opening of the garage is 90" wide. If you have any doubt, please double-check your vehicle's width as it is required for your vehicle to be stored in the garage during your stay per the HOA rules! The Ridge - North Scottsdale
The property was accommodating and very clean. Everything you needed in the kitchen was there and the furnishings were great. The single car garage was tight but we had a large SUV so just had to be careful. Golf courses, restaurants are close by and a grocery store within walking distance. Condo is centrally located in Scottsdale with easy access to the 101. Pool and access to the McDowell recreation center were very nice. Jay and his wife were great hosts and we hope to return again when COVID-19 is gone!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jay & Shari’s condo! Their well appointed “home away from home” was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Jay’s attention to detail was great and they thoughtfully included some very nice things to help make our stay even better than expected. We love the location of the condo near the McDowell Mountain Preserve for beautiful desert hikes and spectacular views. And the ability to have a short walk to the grocery store, restaurants and other businesses is an added bonus. God willing, we hope to return next year!

Beautiful condo in beautiful setting
The condo was set up perfectly with all the amenities of home. The condo was clean (I’m a critical reviewer on bathrooms and kitchen and they were great) and amply stocked with paper products. The photos in the listing are very accurate. It is in a fairly small and quiet community with very friendly neighbors, many snow birds... McDowell Mountain is right across the street, so ample opportunities to hike. Jay was very quick to respond to any questions. I will be requesting to stay here again upon my next extended stay.

Great condo in a great location! The condo was set up very much like home. The only challenge was the small garage. Leave your big SUV at home and bring your mid-sized car. Other than that it was ‘Home away from home’. Jay and Shari are great Home Away hosts.

Great tow-home and location. Appreciated the communication of the owner, Jay. The home is well equipped; however, we suggested that there be more glassware. We don't like drinking our wine from plastic glasses, which at the time of our stay was all that was available. One of the better equipped rentals we've stayed in. Central to most of what you will likely be looking for - you can't go wrong.

Felt like home!
We had wonderful 6 week stay in this cute condo. It was very clean, spacious and especially welcoming with the basket of treats. We fell in love with the location; on-site - pool, spa, workout room & billiards table; walking distance - grocery, restaurants, hiking trails, community center with basketball, tennis, larger pool & exercise classes; nearby - shopping, Old Town, baseball, etc. This gated community felt very safe with friendly neighbors, we felt right at home and would highly recommend it.

Wonderful condo; great location
We had a wonderful month in Scottsdale. When we arrived, everything in the condo was fresh and spotless. The welcome basket of goodies was a nice touch. The place had just been redone, with all new furniture. Everything is most attractive. The living area is as spacious as it looks in the photos — perhaps even larger. We were especially pleased with the size of the kitchen — again, as large or larger than it appears in the photos. We’re hikers, so we appreciated the proximity to many trail heads. It’s a 10-minute walk to the Bell Road/104th Street Trail Head, or a five-minute drive to the more popular Gateway Trail Head. If you want to drive 15 to 30 minutes, you can get to several other trail heads within the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. This trail system is fantastic, with trails for all abilities. Another bonus with this condo is it’s an easy five-minute walk to a large grocery store. And the fitness center on the grounds is small but offers a lot. Most of the time we had it to ourselves. When we weren’t hiking, we enjoyed shopping at Kierland Commons, being tourists in Old Town and the Waterfront, touring Taliesin West, checking out the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art, going to the Desert Botanical Gardens, exploring Cave Creek on a Sunday, eating out with friends and more. This is a great condo. And Jay is very responsive to every email. We’d love to go again!

We are Jay and Shari, and we reside in the heart of the Midwest in Omaha, Nebraska. We both grew up in Iowa, and have lived in this general area our entire lives. We have family in the Phoenix area and have vacationed there for decades now and finally found the PERFECT condo which we purchased in 2015. We use the property ourselves when we can, but it's not as often as we'd like, so we have offered it for rent for others to enjoy when we can't.

Why they chose this property

This is our desert oasis, we love the place and we know you will too! This is our retirement getaway, but we're still a decade away from retiring so we can't use it as much as we'd like. We shopped for a LONG time for a condo in the area, and finally found this place, which we think is PERFECT! This is not a typical investment rental property fitted with low-end furnishings, we have outfitted this unit with the best of everything that we want when we visit, and we know you'll enjoy the difference it makes compared to the typical rental property found in the Scottsdale area. If you want convenience, it doesn't get much better than this! The complex is literally 10 minutes from EVERYTHING you could want, and walking distance from all of the essentials! This is a very quiet and private gated condo complex with only about 100 units in it, about half snowbirds and half permanent residents. It is nestled in the heart of the high-end McDowell Mountain Ranch development, with the ultra-high-end DC Ranch community just a few minutes North. You can roll out of the complex and head North on Thompson Peak Parkway and be sitting at a stoplight next to a Bentley or Rolls Royce any day of the week.

What makes this property unique

We bought this place for the location, amenities, and the "feel" of the community. It can't be stressed enough how convenient this location is to virtually everything! When we travel, we want CONVENIENCE, we don't want to be stuck in heavy traffic, we want to relax and enjoy the mountain and desert landscapes and have a nice glass of wine on an outdoor patio. THAT is North Scottsdale and we love it here! Our condo is a unique design in that it is in an attached condo building but with NO attached neighbors above, below or to either side, so it offers the privacy of a detached villa but with the convenience of a condo. There's nothing worse than renting a condo and then worrying about whether your footsteps are disturbing the neighbors below, or having upstairs neighbors who stomp around like clydesdales disturbing your tranquility! You won't have to worry about that here, The Ridge condo complex is very quiet and serene, there's even a private desert walking path right out the door of the condo where you can see the cactus blooms and even catch a glimpse of desert wildlife!
