Minutes to downtown Carlsbad and Oceanside. Buddy Todd Park is a 5 minute walk and features an ocean view!

All inclusive; utilities; electric, gas, sewer, cable TV, high speed Internet, water, gardening. monthly maid service. Cox Cable, Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu +, Apple +, Disney+ active subscriptions are also provided on the Internet televisions at no additional charge. THIS COMPLETELY FURNISHED VIEW HOME IS CLASSY, SERENE, PRIVATE, AND SECLUDED. If you are not familiar with North Coastal San Diego County, this home is conveniently located two miles from the Carlsbad and Oceanside beach, the Oceanside harbor, shopping malls, restaurants and mass transit, the Amtrak and Coaster trains. The Sprinter train is just two blocks away.

While being close to all the activities the city has to offer, this home is on the top of the hill, so all you hear is nature, birds, and an endless view without the distraction of street noise or cars.

You will be comfortable because all rooms are accessible on one level. You can drive into the two-car garage (remotes included), and within 10 steps, walk straight into your kitchen to drop off your groceries.

INTERIOR IS DECORATED WITH A MODERN FLAIR

Features an open floor plan, with clean Brazilian cherry wood flooring in the living room, dining room, kitchen, master, bathrooms, hall and bonus room located in the second bedroom. The ceilings are smooth and white. All electrical switches have been upgraded. There are new light fixtures throughout. There is a whole house attic fan located near the front door, sunshades covering every window, which lets a breeze run through the house to keep it cool. There is a portable air conditioner in the living room and both bedrooms. The home has ocean breezes!

THE LIVING ROOM

Features a gas/wood burning fireplace and is great for warm family gatherings. This room is combined with the dining area, all decorated with vivid green, teal, red and blue. A cow rug is featured in the living room, (removed if you have dogs).

This great room has two picture windows and a expansive 10-foot sliding glass door leading into the south/west facing patio with an unobstructed, back-country view.

In the living room, facing the view, is a teak desk for using your computer. It is equipped with leather swivel office chairs, a wireless modem, laser B&W printer/scanner, office supplies and 4K television.

THE MASTER BEDROOM AND BATHROOM

Although there is no central air conditioning, each bedroom (and living room) has a portable air conditioner. The bedroom window faces the front of the home. The master is spacious; measuring 15 by 15 feet. The room is large and holds a California King Tempurpedic- type bed, two nightstands, and a cherry wood dresser. It contains a wall-to-wall 14-foot mirrored closet that is double hung and room for his and her clothes and shoe racks. This master features, high end Samsung LED 4K TV featuring all the internet apps; Netflix, Hulu Plus, and Sling TV.

This master is adjacent to the sitting/vanity/bath area with a private tub and toilet area which is curtained off. The Toto toilet is ADA certified. Both bathrooms feature handicap bars next to the toilet and in the showers.

THE KITCHEN

Featuring cherry wood floors, the kitchen has an unobstructed backcountry view and is separate from the dining room. The kitchen includes an excellent appliances; a silent Bosch stainless steel dishwasher, microwave, stainless steel GE CAFE electric ceramic smooth cooking top with a large lower double oven and cast iron grill. It also has a stainless steel side by side refrigerator. Outside, there is a propane BBQ with all the accessories.

The kitchen has recessed LED lighting in a crown molded cove ceiling.The kitchen features under cabinet lighting lighting all working surfaces. It also has a floor to ceiling pantry on one wall.

There is a Boos rolling butcher block for prepping your food, and all cookware, appliances, dishes, glasses, utensils and accessories are included. The kitchen also has a 32" television with streaming service.

The kitchen is very functional with quartz countertops, fully stocked for whatever your needs may be. You will also never find a kitchen with a better view!

THE SECOND BEDROOM

A lounge area sleeps 2 people, and possibly three people if you utilize the folding floor matress. It is a perfect place to hang out with the family and watch 4K internet TV.

The second bedroom has two separate areas; the main area and an additional 18' long dressing/kitchen area featuring a private a sliding glass door that leads to the patio.

A designer rug covers the taupe carpet for evenings on the floor with your kids or friends. You can lean up against the lounging beds with overstuffed pillows. This second bedroom features 2 memory foam cool gel twin beds in L formation resting on two mid century modern teak daybeds with storage under the mattress. You can use it as a sofa during the day. A internet ready, Samsung 4K TV. Although there is plenty of art on the walls, it is all interchangeable to your art, all resting on art ledges, so you can replace it with whatever suits your style.

The additional bonus space inside this bedroom has a cherry floor that is set up as a dressing area, featuring clothes cabinets, large mirror and vanity with a bench. A perfect place to do yoga, or you can use this area a child's play zone. Included is a kitchenette with a mini refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave and cupboard storage so you can wake up in the morning, have your coffee and breakfast without going into the kitchen. Additional clothes rods have been installed to supplement your closet in the main room.

Both the second bedroom and the bonus area have LED track lighting and an air conditioner upon request, and ceiling fan to keep you cool.

THE GUEST BATHROOM

Is situated in the hall for use by the second bedroom. A 5-foot walk-in shower with glass doors, a modern sink and counter, and includes all towels and accessories you will need. Please note that the tubs and showers have not been upgraded to tile, but they are very clean, functional with handheld shower heads.

The linen closet has extra sheets, pillowcases, towels, wash clothes, blankets, duvet covers and heating pads.

FENCED-IN PATIO WITH A VIEW OF CARLSBAD

You will be amazed at the view surrounding this home. When you step out on the patio, you know you are on vacation! This is the last home on the block, located in the quiet cul-de-sac. The back of the house has a 2-foot tall fence and a concrete patio covered with outdoor carpeting and artificial turf, which spans the length of the home, with five 10-foot umbrellas with tables and chairs to enjoy the shade. Sunbrella Shades are installed outside each window and can lower down to cover the south facing windows to limit the sun exposure in the home. A whole house fan causes the breeze to go through the house, so it stays comfortable all year long.

The patio is fully furnished with two dining tables and 6 chairs, 3 lounge chairs, 4 umbrellas and 2 sun sails. Patio lights are installed under the eves for a festive feel at night. There are many large potted plants and succulents. No yard work needs to be done outside, except weekly watering on the front and back patio. The patio is perfect for BBQing (BBQ is included) relaxing and watching the sunrise. You will enjoy privacy as you dine on the patio, as there are no neighbors behind you, just nature.

BUDDY TODD PARK

You and your family and pets can quickly walk to Buddy Todd Park just down the street, which features acres of open space, trails and an astounding ocean view with romantic sunsets. This is a great place to have a picnic. Your children romp on the swings and grass, climb trees and throw a Frisbee. Your dog will love it too. Public restrooms are available at this park.

TWO CAR GARAGE WITH 2 CAR MAXIMUM

This home offers a two car attached garage with openers that leads to the kitchen. According to the community rules, your family is limited two non-commercial vehicles, one of which must fit and park in garage and the other may park on the driveway. There is no street parking for residents, but 72 hour guest parking down the street.

The garage offers large built-in storage cabinets, large attic space with a ladder, and large capacity front loading Samsung washer and gas dryer. It also has a drying and ironing area iron and board, tools and cleaning supplies. There is a bicycle and helmet, 3 boogie boards, 2 beach chairs, and badminton racquets.

DOGS OK WITH BREED APPROVAL

This is a dog friendly environment and appropriate for a well behaved, non-excessive barking dogs. There is large grassy area outside the patio gate and throughout the multi-acre common areas in the neighborhood. Your dog should stay within a 2 foot tall fence within the patio area. There is a breed restriction. All Service animals welcome.

An Amazing Experience!
Where to begin - first I’m not usually one to write reviews but my experience here was exceptional. First of all Wendee is the greatest host! She is super quick to respond and seriously has thought of everything you will need. Her place is spacious and in a very nice quite neighborhood. It’s also perched up on a hill and gets a nice ocean breeze and lots of natural light. The backyard patio is like a little terrace and a very peaceful place to eat or read or just relax with lots of comfortable chairs and shade umbrellas.. Something I did not expect and is a very unique aspect of this place is how awesome and abundant the variety of wildlife there is living on the hillside out back. I mean it is a real treat and special experience to say the least. Almost nightly you can hear the sounds of all the different animals and nature living right in your backyard - but during the day was my favorite part as basically i became friends and head nektar provider for the coolest TRIBE of hummingbirds I’ve ever scene! If you love nature, you will definitely love this added bonus of staying here. I could not have asked for more, and really felt at home for the 4 months we lived there. I hope to go back one day and am sure i will even if only to spend some time with my little friends out back ... lol. Thanks again, Wendee!

Superb Experience, Excellent Value, Supreme View, Amenities were Outstanding!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hostess has thought of every detail to make our stay pleasurable. The kitchen was completely stocked with all the small appliances, condiments, napkins, paper towels. All we needed was our food. Even the kitchen has a spectacular view. The location in the cup-de-sac was completely quiet. The kids and dog could play safely in the adjoining common area. The view was amazing. We ate out on the patio most evenings and enjoyed the ocean breezes. Plenty of lounge chairs, dining tables and chairs for company. The BBQ was great and was filled with propane. The beds were extremely comfortable, with plenty of extra linens and towels, a television in every room including the kitchen, with Netflix, Hulu, Sling, and cable. The wireless Internet was fast. There were ceiling fans in every room, and an air conditioner in the master bedroom. We used the whole house fan to circulate the air and create a breeze through the house. We were comfortable our entire visit. We were so happy with our hostess, as she answered all our questions promptly. She told us about the large ocean view park at the end of the street, and we took walks with the dog in the park every evening. We used the security system, and connected the provided security cameras and Alexas to our own Amazon account. The neighborhood only had a couple of dozen homes, and was tucked away at the top of the hill. The area is safe and the streets were well lit. Washer and dryer were top-of-the-line and the garage had 2 vacuums, a bike, boogie boards for the beach. We put one car in the garage, and the other in the driveway. We definitely will be staying again next year! Thank you for a great experience. 5 stars all the way!

There are three exterior Amazon security cameras and a Ring interior security system with a camera to view your dogs while you are away. These cameras are for your EXCLUSIVE use and control with a phone app. You will be safe here.

GUEST HOUSE GUIDE AND LEASE AGREEMENT

There will be a written monthly rental agreement which all parties will sign. I require an emergency information sheet upon your arrival as well as a copy of all parties drivers license and a picture.

I have written an informative guest manual which has all the vital information you need to live here. It is downloaded on the website and will also be available in a notebook at the property. Please read the manual so you know the codes, passwords, and how to log into and control the security systems.

There is a VRBO property damage insurance fee in lieu of a cash deposit. This policy covers $5000 of damage.

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT

Please note that all adults in a roommate situation must be at least 25 years old to make a reservation.

The garage cannot hold excessive storage as it is needed to hold the cars. No RV, trailer or commercial vehicle can be in the driveway.

What makes this property unique

The views are gorgeous! The weather is outstanding. The beds are very comfortable, The kitchen is fully stocked with every appliance and condiment. The patio is for lounging or eating, and the kids can play on the artificial turf inside the patio area, in the quiet cul-de-sac, the many green belts this neighborhood provides, or at the ocean view Buddy Todd park at the end of the street.

Alexa is in every room (you need an Amazon Account for Alexa and Amazon Prime movies). There is an air conditioner in the primary bedroom and a portable mini-split air conditioner in the main living area. No A/C in 2nd bedroom. There is whole house fan for the house to keep cool. This home is ultra clean, has character, and full of tech! My excellent and long standing maid service cleans the home every 30 days for you at no extra charge.

NEIGHBORHOOD OVERVIEW

This home is nestled in a quaint community of 22 homes, located in the cul-de-sac, two miles from the Carlsbad and Oceanside beach, and the beautiful Oceanside harbor. The neighborhood is very quiet, no through traffic, and a great place to feel safe.

Situated in a premium cul-de-sac location it has a parking space in front of the unit for temporary day time short term parking. The neighborhood consists of only two short private streets that are away from road noise. The neighborhood is surrounded by well-manicured lawns, trees and common areas. There are no houses or structures behind this unit and you can see the Carlsbad view for miles.

If you are from out of town, it is important to me to know a little about your family, so please tell me the purpose of your stay, and who will be in your party, including pets. I am sorry but I cannot accommodate cats. If you are local, contact me and I can give you the exact address so I can meet you at the property if it is vacant. If it is not vacant, this viewing may not be possible, but you can drive by and enjoy the neighborhood and me, Wendee Mason, Carlsbad, CA since 1981.
