This place was amazing. We could not beat the location. We did not realize Bar Harbor had a free bus service that will take you all over the island. There was a bus stop just down the street but you can also just wave a bus down and the driver will stop if it is a safe place to do so. So we would just check the bus schedule and go out and wave the bus down in front of the house and get picked up there. You really don’t even need a car if you stay here! And the house was perfect. Very clean. Had everything we needed for 6 adults for the week.Would definitely stay here again!
The property was absolutely spotless and beautiful. There was lots of room for the 6 of us and we were so comfortable. The location was perfect—on the outskirts but easily accessible to everything—great restaurants, Acadia National Park, and downtown Bar Harbor. The entire experience was amazing.
Our stay was fantastic! The house was spacious and lovely! The location was perfect! We would definitely stay here again. Sue Robin was accommodating and wonderful! Thank you!
We very much enjoyed our week in Bar Harbor. The house was light, spacious and clean. It was perfect for seven of us to enjoy communal time as well as our own space. The location is great for exploring Acadia as well as a short walk to the city center. We would certainly return for a future family gathering.
The house was very spacious for the six of us to stay for a week. We enjoyed cooking lobsters in the kitchen and relaxing in the Living Room. It is a very short drive to the center of Bar Harbor, easy access on and off the island, and to Acadia national park. Even though we were close to Bar Harbor, it was a very quiet and peaceful location.
This property was absolutely wonderful!! The location is perfect for accessing both the park and Bar Harbor!! We even were able to locate the park ,via electric bikes , by back roads!!
We were so happy to have a secure place to store our personal ebikes!
We would absolutely stay here again!! Like a home away from home!!!
Fantastic location, quiet, clean and comfortable. Very responsive to issue. Our family had an amazing time. I highly recommend this property. We loved the proximity to Bar Harbor and the carriage trails.
Great location near Bar Harbor and the entrance to Acadia. Clean home and comfortable. Spacious bedrooms. Set up with all we needed for a nice family visit this week. Could use more comfortable sleeping pillows.
Thanks for a great visit!
This was a wonderful house for our family of 7 adults. It was sparkling clean, comfortably furnished and spacious enough for all of us to spread out. The wifi was also great for those of us who were working. The location is great--just outside of town, about a 15 minute walk, and a quick drive to Acadia. Communication was also great. We had a problem with the heat upon arrival which was dealt with immediately. The only thing this house lacks is a coffee table in the living room. Add that and it will be perfect!
This house was great for our family of 7, including an infant. It was spotless.
This house had everything we needed and was an easy walk, ride to trails and to town. I highly recommend this house. The hosts were attentive to any questions we had and made our stay a great experience
We had an amazing stay at this property. The house is incredibly clean with all necessary amenities. We had two families (4 adults and 6 kids) and had plenty of space for sleeping, eating and hanging out. The location is perfect for accessing town and Acadia. We spent some time exploring less popular parts of Acadia (Schoodic Peninsula, Gorge Path Trail up to Cadillac Mtn) and MDI (Bass Harbor, Long Pond, Somesville, etc), and I would highly recommend that as parking in Bar Harbor can be quite congested. One thing we weren't exactly clear on with the house was if we needed to bring toilet paper or if that was available at the motel office (we didn't think to ask until we had an empty roll). We ended up just buying some but would be nice to know to save an extra trip out. A great place to stay!
We had a great stay, it was very clean and the beds where comfortable. Great location, just a few minute drive to downtown Bar Harbor and the park was right behind us. To make the house perfect... a coffee table or some side tables in the living room would be helpful for drinks and a garbage can or two would be helpful in the bedrooms and 1st floor bathroom. The staff was very helpful and the place was super clean! Thank you!
Highly recommend this property for location, size and ease of check in and reaching owner. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this house for a trip to Bar Harbor!
This is a beautifully decorated house with everything we needed for a group gathering. We enjoyed the large kitchen and dining table and the TV room. The beds are comfortable. Even the garage is very clean and uncluttered. There was plenty of everything such as garbage bags and bath towels! We did ran into two problems: Heater didn't work for one of the bed rooms and the drainage of the master bedroom was slow.
Thank you for such a nice place.
Perfect location for exploring Acadia NP. Loved the renovated kitchen and baths. Very roomy, comfortable with great layout for group of 5 adults. Owner responsive to communications.
My family and I had a great trip to Bar Harbor. This property is in the perfect location- very close to downtown Bar Harbor (walking distance) and just a short drive to the Acadia entrance.
The home itself is very clean. The downstairs area (especially the kitchen) is the highlight of the home. Very spacious and comfortable.
The bedrooms are nicely sized, though the fulls baths are on the smaller side. Just note that since the home does not have central AC, the windows and fans are needed to get fresh air in the home. The floor fans are provided by the host.
Overall - highly recommend this well maintained property If you are planning a trip to Maine!
Very nice house on the edge of downtown Bar Harbor. The property is walking distance to the waterfront and has direct access to hiking trails in Acadia National Park. We spent a week here at the end of the summer and had a great time. Highly recommend!

About the host
Your host
My husband and I have been in the lodging and rental business for over 12 years in Bar Harbor. We both were born and raised right here on Mt. Desert Island. We love sharing all that Bar Harbor and MDI have to offer and will help in anyway we can to make your stay more enjoyable.
Why they chose this property
This home is located on the same property as our motel - Edenbrook Motel. Just on the outskirts of town you can walk (3/4 miles) into town or into Acadia on the adjacent trail without driving. If you have more than 8 people in your party ask us about renting a motel room too!
