Nice area

It’s a nice area to stay if you’re hiking Zion. The house is dated and the house seems to be falling down the hill. There’s cracks on the floor and walls, the microwave didn’t work , our bedding smelled, there’s carpet stains and when we first walked in there was a dead roach waiting at the front door. It’s a good place for the price and if you’re just there to lay your head. Also there TV is not a smart TV. I would not stay here again.

Great stay for our Zion vacation!

This house is a great location if you are planning a trip to Zion! We enjoyed having a comfortable house we could come back to after our day of hiking. The kitchen is well stocked and it is nice and open so you can still feel part of your group while cooking. Beds were comfortable and the house was clean. Never heard from the host but we also didn’t need to hear from her at all! Everything went well and we didn’t have any questions as she has a lot of info for you already set up! There is a small grocery store less than 5 minutes away or a Walmart within a half hour! Also super close to a fantastic coffee shop! Neighborhood was quiet and the Mountain View out the back window was great to wake up to! Some of the furnishings and decorations are older but it didn’t matter to us as it was a comfortable home to stay in and we had everything we needed!

Excellent Host!

Katharina was a wonderful host. Easy to communicate with, with easy to follow and clear instructions for the home. The location of the home is perfect - super close to all the outdoor activities you could want, within walking distance to a grocery store, and not far from the major centre of St. George. My reason for four stars rather than five is because some of the details on the listing are misleading. The two bigger beds are doubles (not queens), and the outdoor area no longer has any grass, so it is not quite as suitable for an "outdoor play area" now. The house is also off-kilter particularly in the main entrance area (can be viewed by the slant of the front door in one of the pictures) and into the main area of the kitchen. This was not a huge deal for us, but if you have issues with vertigo or a need for flat land, it could be very bothersome. Either way, we would definitely come back to stay here again. Katharina made things so easy for us and we had a really enjoyable trip to Utah! Thanks for everything!

Not happy

When we got to the house @ almost 4 pm, ( 3 )pm check in ) a gentleman was there just leaving , he just sprayed the house , Things appeared to be goos , We unpacked, including boxed food, butter , apples, bananas. we went out for dinner, Spent the whole next day at Zion, When we came back to the house to cook some dinner, there were ants everywhere in the kitchen, We spent over a 1/2 hour getting the ants off our food and had to put everything in the refrigerator & coolers, a few things I threw away,, it was so infested, I text the owner right away, They never even responded, I was very disappointed 1) to have so much to deal with 2) that they didn’t even bother responding! Definitely to much money for that kind of issues! Would not recommend

Unresponsive property Mgmt company

I wish I could more heartily endorse, the property is nice with a good location and well stocked, though there is a significant settling issue with large cracks and some doors that don’t close and windows that can’t be opened but that really wasn’t a big deal. Our main issue was the unresponsiveness of the property Mgmt company I think it was called evolve. When we tried to call to get some assistance with setting up the chrome cast so we could watch the Thanksgiving Day parade (a family tradition) we got crickets and when the weather turned bad and big snow storm was forecast we tried to contact again so potentially extend our stay to avoid driving home in the storm again no response. Fortunately we were able to go the long way around Las Vegas to avoid the storm and finally got a reply from the property manager FOUR days later!

Really quiet and private

this could not be called a luxury rental, but it is very functional, quiet and private. We used it as a base for visiting Zion and Bryce. You can get closer in Springdale, but expect it to be busier, pricier and not as quiet. Plus there is a very nice grocery store close to the house. Just allow 30 minutes to get to the park entrance, and don't go too late or the parking lot at the park will be full. Enough pots and dishes for breakfast and dinners. This worked really well for us.

Good place to stay

Comfy stay. Found several dead spiders and a used mask in the floor when arriving. House has some issues, but none that makes for unpleasant stay. Nice kitchen and great view on back porch. Would recommend and would stay here again. Convenient to town and to Zion.

Incredible spot and great communication

We loved this rental and will be back. The property manager was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay great. The house is very large and spacious. It does have sterling issues so expect some cracks, stuck doors, and loose tiles. The neighbor is quiet and easy to get to. We felt at home there and look forward to coming here again.

Great for families! Good neighborhood, close to Zion.

Nice property for our family of 5! Laundry was a big bonus since we packed light and went hiking each day. Spacious. My husband and I took a nice stroll around the neighborhood. Stargazing at night from the patio was nice.

Not worth the cost

We will start with the positives. The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood, no internet issues, very nice backyard views and met our needs on being close to Zion National Park (about 25 minute drive). The inside of the house has a lot of structural issues like lose tiles, some doors can’t be closed, can’t open windows, and master bath shower door won’t close. We were afraid to use the master shower because water will leak out. We incurred an ant issue in the master bath. Luckily we brought some bug spray with us. Master bedroom bed is uncomfortable. Carpets are stained throughout the house. Setting up TV using Chromecast is not easy to do. We woke up two mornings with the house being 61 degrees because the heat did not work.

Great location and excellent value

This house is well kept, large and has great views from the backyard. Good amenities- including a large kitchen with gas stove plus nice Weber grill outside. We enjoyed cooking and eating outside. Only annoyances was sewer smell coming from shower drain in master bathroom and a few ants. But overall much greater value than the glamping sites and many other locations that we searched in the area between Hurricane and Zion National Park

Comfortable stay near Zion

Very comfortable home in a quiet setting with spectacular views. Perfectly located for exploring southwest Utah. Everything you could possibly need in a rental. I was on a solo hiking trip but there is plenty of space for a large family.

La Verkin

This house was very nice in a quit neighborhood with a great view while dinning in and on the back patio. The near by grocery store and gas station was a major plus. The location was perfect for our planned agenda, of visiting Zion, Bryce, and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Owners made you feel that there home was your home away from home for sure. I would recommend this house for any one that planned on visiting Zion, it's location is a great relaxing place away from the crowds.

Great restful place for Zion adventures

we enjoyed staying in this wonderful and relaxing home with spectacular views on the patio and through the picture windows. We like to cook, and had all of our breakfasts and dinners here. A short drive to Zion and Snow Canyon parks, and St. George. And within reach of Bryce Canyon. we loved having the washer & dryer to keep up with our family's many adventures.
