Perfect home base for our family trip to the UP. The property is well kept, clean, stocked for household needs, and comfortable. We spent most days site seeing but when we were at the cabin we really enjoyed the beach and kayaks. Great setup if you have kids. We would definitely come back again!
We enjoyed our stay at this UP cottage.
It provided all the necessities for a good winter getaway. We specifically came up to ice fish. The location is ideal for accessing the Bay.
The owner keeps the place very clean.
It is a basic cottage, without a lot “frills”. It served us well.
Very nice property on Lake Michigan. It was quiet and secluded with a nice view of the lake. I never saw a neighbor at home. My only complaint was that the WiFi is poor especially at night after 8pm.
Drawn to the water, we have stayed on a few lakes inland, along the north shore and south shore and this peaceful place far exceeds the waterfront expectations we had. My daughter was in the water every waking moment we were at the cabin. Typically, we lug our own kayaks and having them available (and in great shape!) was a bonus.
We have discovered the hard way how annoying the bugs can be and came prepared with an arsenal of bug spray, which I was so grateful for because we were able to enjoy the fabulous campfires and sunsets!
Sipping coffee on the deck while watching eagles soar and loons cruise by was the perfect way to start the day before we ventured out to explore the never-ending beauty of the UP.
I tend to overpack, so we were set but small touches left “just in case” was a pleasant touch. It appears the cabin is in the process of new updates and that the owners truly care about their ‘home away from home’ and their guests. I’m going to try and make some Yooper fire starters myself, they are so cool!
If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway, this is it!
We had a great time. The home was perfect for our needs and Crystal was an excellent host, answering our questions and meeting our needs. The home was very clean and the king size bed was very comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and while you have neighbors on either side, it felt private. We saw deer, an eagle (Wilson!) and were visited by squirrels, chippies and birds. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a great time. The location was very quiet and secluded which is what we wanted. The house, beach, and water are very clean. Overall a great stay.
Lovely little cabin on the bay! We had a wonderful and relaxing vacation. The deck was the absolute best - stayed out there for hours. Beautiful sunsets over the bay, and apparently we missed seeing Northern Lights by one day! We had bonfires every night except for 2 due to rain. Lots of firewood available. Wilson the bald eagle paid us several visits, sitting on his perch in the pine tree down by the water. Peninsula Point Lighthouse was wonderful. Crystal was a joy to work with, and prompt at answering any questions. Anyone considering this property who has any type of back/knee/hip concerns needs to keep in mind It is a good trek down to the water from the cabin on a somewhat steep descent, and 4 steps to get into the cabin itself.
Everything was in great working order and we had no issues. Beautiful view of the bay. We came up to ice fish and found that we could not get our ATV’s to the lake due to the amount of snow. A quick call to the owner and Crystal graciously allowed us to use a snowblower on site, and after a little work, we are in business! Would definitely recommend this property.
We had a great fall season stay. Great hub location for sight seeing road trips . The views from the deck are hypnotizing, also great sunset views as well . We would stay again for sure.
My family and I had an amazing and relaxing time staying here! The deck has a beautiful view of the water and for watching the wildlife! The kayaks provided were nice to explore the water. We sat down by the water and went swimming each day we stayed. This house was located in a perfect spot, we got to explore the towns and was close to one of the best fish fry spots in the UP! (The Swallow Inn!) We would definitely recommend this place to everyone!
Very clean and organized home ready for vacation guests. Beach front property with lovely deck to sit out on and enjoy meals or just sitting and watching birds and wildlife.
The property was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with anything you needed. There is even an air fryer. Beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the deck and cooking on the deck. Everything was great with the exception of the DVD player which had so much motor noise that it was difficult to hear even with the tv volume all the way up. But overall it’s a great place to stay.
Wonderful time spent here with so many memories made. The view was amazing and it was the perfect location for many outdoor adventures with my two boys and husband that was close by. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
Large back yard making 4 wheeler and snowmobile access easy in a location on the Upper Bay that was perfect. Crystal (the owner) was very easy to reach and ok'd us to check in a bit early which made our day and trip so much better.
The cabin was a perfect jumping off place to explore the UP.
The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We loved lingering in the morning and returning each night after a full day of adventures. Everything you need is there from cooking needs, to linens, not to mention the spectacular deck and view.

Why they chose this property
We work between Marquette and Delta Counties and wanted a place to be able to come to to relax and getaway. We had been looking for sometime and when this diamond in the rough hit the market we had to have it. We spent most of the summer getting the cabin cleaned and painted and the deck built.
What makes this property unique
I love having coffee on the deck in the morning when the lake is still and looks like glass. Some mornings you can see a bald eagle sitting at the top of the white pine down by the Lake. I also love the sand beach which can be hard to find in this area.
