Spend your days exploring the great outdoors with your travel companions and your evenings grilling freshly-caught fish on the charcoal grill for dinner!

With 400-feet of shoreline in front of you, start your morning with a refreshing dip in the water and watch the sunrise. If you're lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of the local Bald Eagles scouring for their next meal! The small sandy beach next to the cabin is ideal for families with small children or anyone looking for some quiet reflection.

Following your morning swim, prepare a hearty breakfast for your crew in the fully equipped kitchen outfitted with all of the essentials and cooking spices you need for your favorite recipes. At one point throughout your trip, stay up until 11:30 PM to watch the famous Northern Lights shine over Canada - a truly memorable experience!

As you start to yawn, retreat to one of the 3 comfortably furnished bedrooms and drift into a restful sleep on the cloud-like full and twin mattresses. The main bedroom boasts a full bed and a desk that is perfect for writing or reading, while the other bedrooms offer 2 twin beds - ideal for guests or kids!

-- THE LOCATION --

The cabin is only accessible by boat, and the nearby Seegert's Marine is the go-to option. From there, you have a short 15-minute ride to reach this Stop Island property. The small baby beach by the house is perfect for family time or for merely beating the heat. Other fun ways to spend your time at the cabin include swimming laps, watching the Northern Lights over Canada, or finding a climbing spot on the island.

Very peaceful getaway

This is a cozy cabin, rustic for sure, but amazing deck over the water and peace and quiet all around. Great owner to deal with. Kids had a great time as well.

Amazing views and perfect location to rest and disconnect

Views were better even than pictures and the location just perfect to explore islands nearby with our kayak and stand-up paddle board. I loved to sit on the deck in the morning for coffee and the sunrise. The baby island was great for campfires and swinging in our camp hammock for a slightly different view. Our kids enjoyed mini explorations of the island behind the house for great elevated views of the lake. We watched deer cross from our island to the other on a shallow sandbar. It was very tranquil. There was easy access for our boat and it is 10 minutes or less from the marina to the house. The fishing wasn't great but we caught a northern for supper from the dock in addition to other outings. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the cabin is a bit dated and some minor problems developed with plumbing during our stay. The homeowners were very accessible and anxious to help in anyways that they could. I expect that they have already addressed the issues we had. Overall, the cabin is very cozy and really did have everything we needed. I would most definitely return as our experience was fantastic. The relaxing rhythms of nature are all around and complete rest and contentment was found here.

The location can’t be beat

Other than some plumbing issues it was fantastic. The house is tight for 4 adults and 2 kids, but we made it work and had an enjoyable stay. The lake views are stunning. And the outdoor spaces are nice.

Great spot

Awesome island getaway! Great for families as there is a sand bar you can float/swim to or take the trail and walk down to. Even a little sand beach right by the cabin. Plenty of room at the docks as well. Island living with electricity, indoor plumbing and beds is a great thing!

magic

This place is like going back in time to Grandmas cabin by the lake, on an island! Eagles, loons, and ducks flying by all the time. I caught a Walleye right off the dock! There's a baby island included that has a beach and a fire pit. It's the perfect place to escape the modern world. It feels like it's your place. It's rustic, but comfortable. We even saw Northern Lights.
