2nd Christmas stay for our family of 11!

We love this house. It suites our 2 families perfectly. 2 masters and 2 large rooms upstairs is more than enough. Kitchen is well stocked (disorganized, but if you search, they probably have it). The towels are awful but if you can get past that, great value for a beautiful property close to the beach!

Beautiful house; only minor issues

Beautiful property, very clean and spacious. All amenities were available, close to beach! Loved the screened in porch. Only a few minor issues, no TP holder in upstairs master, peeling paint and water stains in upstairs master around sky light. Would have been nice if upstairs decks had been swept. Otherwise, Loved it!

Home away from home

Very nice place to stay and easy access to beach. A few minor things need repair but we still enjoyed our time.

Nice for large group

The house was large with a beautiful screened porch overlooking a lagoon. We frequently saw a deer and her fawns and other wildlife. Kitchen is fully stocked but could use some non-stick cookware. There is a small fridge in laundry room in addition to a full sized fridge which was great for drinks. The laundry room is large with a counter for storing any extras. The clothes dryer is quite slow to dry even with smaller loads. Each room has its own bathroom which is great with really large master bathrooms. There is a basketball goal in driveway so bring your basketball! The distance to the beach was further than we expected. Much easier to ride a bike there but not ideal if you have to carry alot of equipment. Overall we were pleased with our stay.

Nice quiet neighborhood

We enjoyed the screened in porch the most. Even with the hotter days, it was perfect.

Great 2 family Christmas spot

We had 2 families stay for a few days over Christmas and it was perfect. Nice size kitchen, great rooms, convenient location. One of the nicer rentals we’ve stayed at on Kiawah!

Kiawah stay

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a disturbance Friday night with someone knocking loudly around the house at 1am. We also noticed roaches and black mold in areas around the house. It was also not worth the change from our original beach front property, which we were forced to moved from due to construction.

Cabin in Paradise

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Akers Ellis Resort was beyond beautiful, serene and welcoming upon our arrival. In the future I will book directly with them. I purchased this rental through and the resort was still very accommodating and the service and maintenance requests were performed for me promptly. The cabin was very spacious and every room has a bathroom. Beware though, there is some weird wiring issues. The cold on the shower runs hot and the hot runs cold. The light switches flip down to turn on and up to turn off. Little quirks that took time for us to figure out. My only complaint was the pollen and bugs. There is an open area that wasn't properly cleaned upon my arrival and tiny little bugs that I found, but not too many. This is to be expected when visiting and residing so close to nature I suppose. The kids have decided that this is the vacation spot to return too. I grew up on Amelia Island and we usually visit our family home there. This was a break from tradition that we may continue.
