THE HAVEN DESCRIPTION
Make yourself at home at The Haven at Chapel Ridge, a freshly remodeled, stylishly furnished 2 Br/2Ba home on quiet tree-lined street off Chapel Road in Waco, Texas. This charming cottage-style home has an open, airy feel. The home has a spacious primary suite (13'x17') with walk-in closet. The second bedroom has both full and twin beds. There's also a roll-away twin bed tucked away in a closet if needed. With 20 (yes, 20) pillows in the home, you’re sure to find one perfect for you!

Enjoy an extremely well-stocked kitchen with adjacent laundry. Feel free to make yourself comfortable with outdoor seating, gas BBQ grill, and fully fenced yard. The backyard also has two comfy seating areas, complete with café lights and a fire table.

This guest house is perfect for a quick getaway to enjoy a Baylor event, sightseeing Fixer Upper fans, and families wanting to relax.

When not out and about enjoying all Waco has to offer, relax in front of a 50-inch smart HDTV w/Roku for all your favorite streaming, play a board game, or have fun with the Wii gaming system. The kitchen is well-equipped, including a Wolfgang Puck indoor grill, crockpot, and even one of those hotel waffle makers! The Haven is stocked with waffle mix, butter, and syrup to start your day off right! You'll also be greeted with a variety of snacks upon arrival and a special surprise or two. The primary bedroom is equipped with a high quality mattress, a variety of pillow options, and a soundscapes sleep therapy alarm clock to help you get a restful night’s sleep.

A little piece of heaven in Waco!

My girlfriends and I just completed our stay at the Haven at Chapel Ridge to celebrate a 60th birthday and made the most amazing memories! Lori, the owner, is the definition of perfect hostess! I don't believe you will ever meet someone that makes you feel like family and does whatever it takes to make your Waco experience so memorable. She had a peach cobbler and ice cream to help us celebrate our friend's birthday...YUMMY!! Her home is stocked with everything you need...a clean home, games, stocked pantry, waffle makings, fresh eggs, suggestions for restaurants, Waco guides, etc! Really, I just cannot say enough about Lori...you just have to meet her to believe how special she really is!! Her home is centrally located in a safe and quiet neighborhood AND close and easily accessible to everything you want to visit in Waco...the Silos, Magnolia Square, Homestead, grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants! What else do you need?? I don't know if I am supposed to mention this, but Lori also has a second vacation rental that we got to tour and it is just as fabulous! So, if you are planning a trip to Waco, you MUST stay at the Haven! I know we will!

House was very clean and had every thing we needed and then some! King bed was very comfortable and had no problem getting a good nights sleep. Massage chair and a sweet treat was a nice surprise after a long drive! Would definitely rent again!

Nice home away from home

This place is very homey. You can tell Lori puts love and thought into the decorations, furniture and the extras inside and out. She has thought through many little things that you want/need when staying away. I came with my daughter and almost 3 year old grandson. He loved our "Texas house" and wants to go back. I'm from New Hampshire, so not sure if I'll be back. but if I do, I would definitely stay here! Thank you Lori!

Love the Haven!

Not wet weather friendly

The back yard walkway way overground with plants. Grass was sparse and created a multi daily cleaning 4 days of rain including exit morning made cleaning again troublesome due to the muddy yard and no clear walk way. Management charges visitor for property issues.

Baylor 50th Reunion

Three lifelong friends who met at Baylor when freshmen in 1970 came together for our 50th reunion. The Haven provided us a very comfortable place to gather to celebrate and reminisce. The location in the Woodway area was convenient to many major roads in & out of Waco. Plenty of restaurants were nearby to make it easy to plan dinners. The neighborhood was quiet and the house simply & pleasantly appointed. The perfect spot for our reunion group!

Great stay to enjoy Silobration

Lori’s a very generous hostess. Her Haven home is very comfortable and decorated adorably. She stocked the kitchen with waters, snacks and breakfast. She was easy to reach before and after our stay. I would highly recommend staying here and we would return for sure.

Super comfort

We came to Waco to watch our son compete in the iron man. We visited Magnolia market and saw some of downtown Waco. Would have enjoyed more time here as it is a very cute location. The neighborhood was quiet and my son and I biked around it. The house had everything plus. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed all the extras provided. I would definitely stay here again.

Charming House

Lori was such a wonderful communicator. She made check-in and check-out a breeze! The house was decorated like a charming cottage. There was a fresh peach cobbler and ice cream as well as some other treats. Overall this is a wonderful place to stay in Waco! Not far of a drive to the silos and other attractions! If we visit Waco again this is where we will be staying!

The Haven was GREAT!

This property was very clean, very well-stocked, and the A/C was ice cold. It is in a nice, quiet neighborhood near plenty of restaurants. The owner left us a peach cobbler (YUM). We loved it!

Wow! I read the reviews and decided to book this home for our 2 night stay in Waco and am I glad I did. First I had to ask Lori to change my arrival date because I was over zealous in how quickly we would arrive from New Mexico and she was able to do that. Then we arrived and could not open the key lock box so she immediately showed up to help- only to find we were at the wrong house (thankfully it was also one of her homes next door). She was so sweet and I felt like we could become instant friends. Entered the home to a homemade peach cobbler and ice cream. I have stayed at many vacation rentals and never have I been welcomed like that. (We took the remainder of the cobbler and ice cream on our travels and my husband could not stop raving about it). Now about the home.., sooooo cute. Well decorated. And very comfortable. All the amenities of home. Sometimes vacation homes barely have enough paper goods to get you through your visit- this isn’t one of those homes. She provided laundry soap and shampoo/conditioner, hand soap.. all of the things you might need. When we return to Waco, we will most definitely try to book one of her homes. Oh yeah- the neighborhood was so clean and peaceful. There are no sidewalks but the streets were quiet so we were able to walk with our little dog every day. 5 star stay!!!

Waco home away from home

We have stayed at the Haven numerous times over the years. It is our go to home in Waco. The owner is very responsive and friendly. The neighborhood is quiet and it is not far from Waco attractions. We will continue to stay at this home.

Family time

We came to Waco for a graduation and family reunion. The Haven provided us a place to relax and enjoy our visit. We had everything we needed and our pet loved the yard. Cute place! I highly recommend it!

I am a former Chicagoan, transplanted in the heart of Texas and LOVING it! Since 2008, this town is home to me and I am confident you will find much to enjoy in Waco as well. We live very close to the Haven at Chapel Ridge and are fond of this area. " The Haven" is perfect for a quick trip or for families needing an inviting place to stay while getting acclimated to the Waco area. This guest home is in the EXCELLENT Midway ISD (Independent School District). The children attend South Bosque Elementary School and River Valley Intermediate.

I taught Spanish (K-12) and English (Higher Ed) for many years and now am enjoying this newer chapter of life. I absolutely love hosting guests at my vacation rentals. I also have been fortunate to grow my business, LULUBELLE'S. You can find LULUBELLE'S shopping spots across town, specializing in vintage clothing (inside The Bevy Boutique) and upcycled vintage goods (inside Central Goods).

I also have own and operate THE WACO TROLLEY! Offering art tours and history tours, I stay quite busy. Guests receive a discount on your tickets 😊
