Had a great time staying at this chalet. Very clean, owners were very responsive to any questions. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to do winter sports.
The Chalet was impeccably clean inside. Outside was rustic. It was a relaxing and enjoyable stay on the lake. Would have been a little bit better if the kayaks and canoes were functional. We would stay again if the boats are repaired.
Terrific weekend stay in northern Michigan. The cottage is in a perfect location in terms of access to Gaylord. The hosts are top notch and answer any questions you may have in a rapid fashion.
The property was just as great as it was the first time we stayed there. Very quite and relaxing. We love being able to kayak around the lake.
The cabin was very clean and well stocked.
My family enjoyed staying at this cabin for a second time. The space is comfortable for all of us. We loved fishing, both from the dock and the rowboat.
Our family enjoyed our stay in this charming chalet! Host was very responsive and great to work with. It was a snowy, chilly weekend and the wood burning stove was so cozy and warmed the cabin right up. Appreciative the owners provide firewood for the wood burner, otherwise the cabin would have been on the chilly side as it was hard to regulate the heat between downstairs and upstairs. Otherwise, it was perfect for our family of four with ample sleeping and seating. Clean, cozy and well equipped to just pack a bag and go north for the weekend. And, the high top table was great for family game nights! Be prepared if visiting during the winter and steady snow, you will be shoveling the walkways. The host did make sure the driveway stayed plowed. Again, very appreciative as we got a lot of snow during our stay. Location is great - a few minutes to Paul's Pub which had great perch, and an easy drive into Gaylord. Would definitely come back for a winter retreat!
It was a perfect winter break. Great for kids! So much snow. We made a bunch of sledding runs around the cabin for the kids and had a campfire every day by the lake. Close to Treetops and a nice hiking trail. Couldn’t ask for a better Michigan Winter weekend!
This cottage is really adorable inside. You definitely feel your on vacation at the lake. The owners respond quickly to any questions and have great communication. The water was warm but as stated has a mucky/ weedy bottom a couple feet out. The whole lake is this way if you enjoy a kayak ride to check it out. Fishing is really good:).
Thanks for sharing your property with us Kristina and Ryan!
My husband and I just wanted a quiet getaway up north for our 1st anniversary and this did not disappoint. This home is quaint and has wonderful views. It was also a great middle point for heading to Tally's & Tea Lake's Halloween Spooktacular one night and then over to Deadman's Hill Overlook and Gaylord the next day. The interior is cute with a cabin vibe and we made a fire to sit by at night. The only negatives were the beds being a bit low to the ground (my husband is 6'4") and that there were a fair amount of light bulbs blown (including the front porch). Otherwise it was an overall great stay and I'm sure we will be back!
I was disappointed that you really couldn’t swim at the house, the bottom of the lake is mud except for first 3 feet or so. House has no comfortable seating. Sofas are very uncomfortable futon type sleepers. Mattresses on beds were very uncomfortable. In general I was disappointed in the rental.
We had a great and relaxing week at the chalet. The lake was beautiful along with the property. Everything we needed was there from towels, dishes, firewood, etc. Our hosts did an amazing job on providing everything we needed for our stay. We also enjoyed kayaking and fishing on the lake. Even though our hosts said the fishing may not be good because they are in the process of stocking the lake, let me tell you I killed it fishing! Besides small perch, blue gill and sunfish, I caught a good size catfish, small pike and the largest perch I have ever got! Another day, I caught another good size catfish and a 14-16 inch large mouth bass! We will definitely be returning to the blue chalet next summer! Thank you Kristina and Ryan for a most memorable vacation! Heather and Aaron
We had a nice and relaxing stay at the Blue Chalet! The rental was clean and well-equipped. We enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake. The house is cozy and we enjoyed being able to bring our dog.
This cottage was exactly as advertised. Lakefront property with kayaks and row boats. The cabin was clean and spacious enough for the while family. Friends from social media have already reached out and asked about the house. Fully recommended. Would stay here again.
I took my grandkids 3 & 5 along with my daughter to this property. The lake was perfect for them! We also kayaked and rowed in the boats provided. The house was clean and had everything we needed. This was truly a relaxing time. I will revisit if we can!!!!
The property was super easy to find and a very convenient drive from Gaylord. The house was spotless and stocked with anything and everything you could need. We loved looking out the window at the lake while sipping our coffee in the morning. There was even a high chair for our son. Kristina was great to work with and very responsive. 10/10 experience:)
We really enjoyed our stay. The chalet was clean and has a nice yard with a deck over looking the lake. The wood burner was great because it was a brisk weekend. Kristina was easy to work with. We were very comfortable and would rent this place again.
Thank you for letting us share your cute chalet!
This getaway was exactly what we needed. The cabin was perfect and the location was absolutely beautiful. Overall it was so peaceful. We took our dog and experienced no issues; overall wonderful stay and look forward to our next visit.
Everything you need to have a great getaway! The chalet cottage is exactly what we wanted. Comfortable, cozy and clean. Five great beds with a spacious living area, great kitchen and beautiful lakefront yard. Your family will love it.
