About this property

Hello, welcome back regional to regional, we would love to host you and your family (plus pets) however we do request that you have been double vaccinated.
Jocks Cabin is fully self contained located on our hobby farm and overlooking our cabernet grapevines. We are located 3km from Tallarook, 10min drive to Seymour, 15 min drive to Broadford and 30mn to Nagambie.
There are many boutique wineries, farmers markets to explore, or take a walk or cycle along the Great Victorian rail trail.
We have a BBQ on the deck for those wishing to cook themselves up an outdoor feast, alternatively there are many foodie options close by which we are happy to recommend.
The Cabin is located 50 meters away from our home on the property so guests have complete privacy. We are also pet friendly if you wish to bring all members of the family.

Perfect

Fabulous host’s beautiful property with everything you could possibly need. Roy the dog and the cows were an added bonus . Great wine made on site. Cabin was clean and Visy and the stars at night were amazing . Thank you 😊

Very enjoyable and relax

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The cabin is very comfortable, and the outside yard is so beautiful and relax! There is a vineyard close to the cabin. We love the wine made from the grapes in the vineyard, and by the owner himself!

Lovely peaceful place with space!

Well equiped, comfortable & spacious cosy cabin for two with all the home comforts on a lovely well kept & presented property. 12 minute cruise to Seymour & easy drive to wineries & other attractions. Great location to take the family dog who equally loved her 3 night stay & exploring the grounds. Thank you to Beth & Peter for their hospitality.

Great getaway

Jocks Cabin was a great place to relax and enjoy the countryside. Kids loved exploring the pond and the creek, adults enjoyed walking amongst the grapevines. Weather wasn't the best but the comfort of the cabin more than made up for it.

Cosy and serene

Wonderful experience. Bucolic setting with vineyard, cows, sheep, magpies, rosellas, wrens, kookaburras...and Roy, the lovable dog. Beth and Peter warmly welcomed us to the very cosy Jock's Cabin, which had everything we needed, including their own delightful Cabernet. From this base, we enjoyed the beautiful surrounding areas, especially the Valley of a Thousand Hills at Murchison Gap Lookout. We have discovered a real gem. Thank you, Beth and Peter.

Bliss and Relaxing

We loved our stay with Beth, Peter and Roy they were so accomodating and friendly right from check in! Jocks cabin was perfect and the atmosphere was beautiful! We bought our puppy who I think had the most fun! I would highly recommend jocks cabin to everyone and we will be back very soon!

Two days of serenity

Jock’s cabin was delightfully presented with cute cozy decor which was really welcoming. The location was so tranquil yet close to Seymour for a great lunch and fun time. My dogs could explore fairly freely close to the cabin. They were very excited to see horses in the paddock. However didn’t even notice the cows in the adjacent paddock. We will do this again!

Incredible hospitality

Beth and Peter were so welcoming and such personable people. Everything we needed was provided in the cabin, beautiful comfortable furniture, truely a lovely experience. They are so accommodative with pets, my dog absolutely thrived in the freedom there. Highly recommend trying their Cabernet. I hope to be back in the area so I can stay again

Who had the most fun - us or the dog

The property was clean, tidy and a great base for a friend and I to go exploring. Also staying was my spaniel. Who had the best time - not sure as there was rabbits, hares, ducks, cows and the owners’ dog to track, sniff, discover and watch from the door. My dog is well trained and has good recall so it was great to see her run free and chase a rabbit. The cabin is away from the owners’ home so private. Has everything you need including coffee machine, microwave and decent size fridge. The bed is comfy and my only complaint was two pillows were too high and one too low so would take my own pillows if I’d known. Location is remote and it’s a bit of a drive into Seymour. It is not far away and has a Coles and Woolies, bakery etc so you can stock up. It is walkable to Tallarook but wouldn’t do it at night. Would I stay there again - yes.

Serenity
