We are a family from Oslo, Norway, with two boys aged 6 months and 6 years who rented this flat for two weeks in June 2010. We had some friends with children the same age as ours coming over the second week renting the flat next door, perfect for the children having fun at the pool area and on the beach, and perfect for the adults having nice evenings on the balcony after the children were asleep.
The apartment was very nice and clean, with all necessities for self catering. Air conditioning worked well. It's very close to the beach, where there are concrete platforms for sunbathing, and pebbly, little bays. The water is extremely clear, and snorkling is fun, even though there are not a lot af colours under water. A beach restaurant close by (at Illyrian Resorts) offered nice meals and a shaded terrace.
Milna center was a 20 min walk along the harbourside from the apartment. Yachts and sailboats, a dozen restaurants, a couple of bakeries and two minimarkets offering the most neccesary of groceries etc. Nice back street walks in Milna.
We rented a car for the whole period which is nice if you want to get around a little on Brac island. We made daytrips to Zlatny rat in Bol, a fabulous, pebbly beach, to Vidova Gora with amazing views of the island and the sea, and with yummie home cured ham and local sheep's cheese in the restaurant on the top of the "mountain". There was also a small "zoo" with domestic animals on the road towards Supetar, which the children liked a lot. Also picturesque villages etc. We also made a day trip to Split and spent the day in the Diocletian's Palace. Recommended!
Pool area was cleaned every morning, and we had it nearly to ourselves. Service from the property owner and cleaning staff was very nice and flexible.
All in all, we had a very pleasant stay, and would recommend this place heartly to others.
