Watch the whales pass by, the seals frolic or the storm roll while breathing in that amazing Lost Coast air. Enjoy a relaxing getaway in this beautiful 1bed, 1 bath oceanfront top floor space. One large bedroom with 2 queen size beds . Tv in the living room and bedroom, but no cable provided. There are smart TVs. A stones throw from amazing cliffs along the edge of the Pacific. Walking distance to our local Venezuelan restaurant Mi Mochima and Gyppo Ale Mill as well as the Fish Tank coffee shop. Located at the north end of the local golf course and airstrip. you can park your airplane and walk right over! The lower floor is an occasionally occupied by the owner in preparation for an additional space available as a rental.

Lives Up To It’s Name

Our 2nd stay at Wow! What a View! in Shelter Cove, CA. It truly is the Lost Coast and the perfect place to enjoy it! View is amazing and home is comfortable and cozy. Celeste is a great host and easy to get ahold of. We’ll be back every year!

We loved our extended stay at Celeste's place. The unit was great for us. Love the extra touches like the golf clubs, deck side grill, awesome popcorn maker, and Firesticks on both TVs. The views were spectacular; Shelter Cove is serene and has so much more to offer then expected. And Celeste is the best. Thank you again and can't wait for our next opportunity to shelter from the storm!

Comfortable with great view.

I appreciated Celeste's quick responses to my questions. We enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment was clean and was full of artistic touches. The balcony was wonderful to sit on for looking at and listening to the nearby ocean. Just a few suggestions: let potential guests know about the steep stairs that must be climbed to get into the apartment and the steep driveway. Our car isn't very low to the ground, but we scraped the bottom of it on every trip up and down which was a bit worrisome; we are both readers, and there was not good light for reading at night in the living room or bedroom; pot holders and some smaller sized plates would be useful in the kitchen. We were glad to finally visit Shelter Cove, a beautiful place to stay, and we appreciated being able to bring our dog.

Awesome view and perfect stay for your dog

The unit was perfectly private with a view you can't beat. Waking up, drinking coffee with a beautiful view was a highlight. There was a local trail I took my dogs on which they enjoy. We walked down to Black Sands Beach several times and just around the neighborhood. You could hear the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks from the rental as well. Kitchen was perfectly stocked to make dinners. Local store as a lot of things in case you forget something. Would definitely stay there again. Oh, and the beds were really comfortable.

Too Short, Wish we could stay longer

Overall it was wonderful, we wish we could have stayed longer. The house is cute, pretty clean except for the carpet there is quite a few spots everywhere so we wore something on our feet. The bed was comfortable, thank goodness because I have a bad neck. Kitchen, living, and bathrooms were very clean. The view was very nice. There are games, books, and even a cute radio control car for entertainment

A great place to unwind and enjoy the views.

Celeste and Eric made everything so easy. Communication was key. I didn't have the usual anxiety of waiting for check-in instructions, they came the day before, when I had cell service. Not two hours before as has been my experience. Upon entering. We were surprised at the comfort of the roomy home and mesmerized by the stunning sunset as we sat on the deck. We woke to a foggy morning, filled with mystery; the sound of waves crashing against the jagged cliffs and a family of deer walking across the field. It felt like a scene from the Lost Boys. The furbabies enjoyed the dog friendly locations and met many four legged friends on our walks. Next time I will bring my husband and our furbaby for a week.

Great location and communication

The rental is in a great spot near many amenities including a lovely Venezuelan restaurant. The view from the porch is spectacular and the communication was instant.

Beautiful!

We didn’t have any interaction w/ property manager, got in kind of late, had a hard time trying to find the lock box but overall stay was fantastic (and much needed). The place was spacious, view was spectacular & the area was so inviting. Wish we could’ve stayed longer

Serene Shelter Cove Retreat

Loved our stay at “Wow What a View”. Friends came by who were staying at an inn nearby. They were so impressed with the cleanliness, space, comfort, amenities and the Beautiful view of the Pacific. They hope to rent it next visit with their family. Each morning I would drink my coffee on the deck while enjoying the view. In addition the owner was responsive to our needs and questions. Thank You!

Nice Location with A Full Ocean View

Great location in the center of Shelter Cove and close to the available services as well as the beach and hiking trails. Peaceful area with dramatic coastline. Was isolated, but that is a plus for us. Good host also. Everything you'd expect was provided and the apartment was clean (smelled fantastic) / in good condition. Private balcony is appreciated for listening to the surf.
