Mountain bike retreat

Great place to stay and escape the heat. Reasonably priced and very good communication with the property manager. Pool table is a lot of fun and the bedroom/bathroom setup is ideal for a family of 4. Close to mountain bike trails which is a major plus. It would be nice if the dryer worked, otherwise we had really good time.

Beautiful home in an affluent neighborhood

I enjoyed my stay. I felt like I was able to capture the best of both worlds … luxury and nature. The house is very spacious not overly decorated with furniture. Although there was no AC it was very cool inside the temperature was 85° outside. I enjoyed visiting local stores and restaurants people are very friendly, there is a short drive to the lake and other trails.

Not as advertised- Terrible property filled with health, safety, and security issues

This property is the worst short term rental we have ever stayed at. It is nothing like the pictures shown. I will list the negatives as we did not find any positives: - Rat feces in piles outside the patio deck - All toilets continuously run after being flushed - The entry stairs move and flex when walking up them (wood is fragile exposed and deteriorating) - Windows do not lock and close properly. Unsafe for children- fall hazard and security issue - Screen doors do not lock and close properly. - Light switches are installed incorrectly and are not uniform (up for on, down for off) - Property interior is heavily worn and damaged including marks on walls, poor patches on drywall that is unpainted. - Exposed nails sticking out of walls that will catch your clothes or skin. - The carpets, rugs and couches are heavily stained - There is a van parked in the driveway that blocks easy access to the stairs and prevents you from parking fully in the curved driveway - The driveway needs to be cleared (filled with tree debris) - There is trash spilled all over the driveway as an animal entered the trash bin. - The dryer has a sign on it saying "Warning this will cause a fire if used" - The door to the laundry was detached from the wall and left propped against the wall - We found dirty old socks on the floor-Primary Bedroom I have pictures of the above issues and more to report. VRBO please contact me to prevent further health, safety, and security issues for your customers.

6/10 Okay

Despite the very nice cabin, and nice kitchen the overall cleanliness of the place was bad and put a damper on our trip for me.

From reading a previous review of this place, we packed our own cookware from pots to dishes, and utensils. Good thing we did, because it was poorly stocked, everything there was there was dirty, obviously unwashed from previous visitors. The carpets and large area rug in the main room were all dirty, very stained, and looked terrible. Layer of dust on several surfaces. The only comfortable seating was the couch, and dining room benches. All other seating in the cabin were either broken or very wobbly. Only one reading lamp in the entire place, and two of the bedrooms had no working outlets to charge phones, plug in heaters, etc. In general, other than having beds, the bedrooms were bare of furniture. There was a large desk in the master bedrm however, it was pushed to one corner and surface was dusty, the accompanying chair had a broken leg so that when we placed our coats or anything on it, it would topple over. Although the beds were all neatly made, the sheets and pillowcases were not fresh and I had a strong suspicion they were not changed from the last visitors (gross). Please note, this is only my suspicion, but a mother can tell these things. This place could be wonderful but needs to be maintained and cleaned thoroughly after each visitor.

Great location and communications, poor amenities for food prep

This is a very nice house in a quiet location. Communications with property manager Brian were excellent. There were many, many rules for renters. The house is in need of numerous minor repairs. If you plan on cooking and eating in, the cookware is in really bad shape and there isn't enough dinnerware for more than 3 people.

Contemporary

Enjoyed our 3 night stay. Beds were very comfortable which is always a concern when renting a house. Nice open floor plan allows family to relax and enjoy each others company.

Wonderful mountain house

The house was perfect for a few days of skiing. The pool table occupied the teens. The contact person, Brian, was quick to answer all my questions and concerns.

Greatest Airbnb in Big Bear

The stay was amazing! My girlfriend and I were traveling for the weekend for her birthday, and the rental matched every need we asked for. The cleanliness of the place was fantastic, the amenities were great, the location was central, and the space was perfect. The location was very modern and provided a home feel to where we felt like it was our own vacation home :). Will most definitely be coming back to stay at this property when I come back to Big Bear. Thank you guys for the hospitality. Brian was very effective with communication as well.

Great Place, Location and Excellent Host!!!

We had a great time at Brian place. The communication was super easy and quick, and the place looks exactly like it does on the pictures. The neighborhood is very quiet and quick drive for ski resorts. Would absolutely recommend to stay there!

Great place, poor internet, no cable TV

This is an outstanding house. Very clean, new up to date. Owner is very cooperative and helpful. I would highly recommend staying there. We were there for meetings and needed WiFi and it was weak and there was very little service. The TV also have no cable or satellite and since the WiFi was down or in and out the Netflix service did not work either. Other than connection issues this place is fantastic.

Great House

We had a wonderful time during our stay in Big Bear. The house is well decorated, comfortable and clean, with all of the amenities we needed. The house is minutes away from the ski resorts. We highly recommend staying here and will look to do so again in the future.

Cozy and modern cabin

Beautifullly appointed cabin with modern and cozy amenities in Big Bear. The cabin was perfect for our family, close to the ski hills and the village. Everything was immaculate and the pool table was great for our boys. The homeowner, Brian, was so helpful and very responsive during our stay, too! Thanks for a wonderful and inviting stay!
